The worst dining experience I’ve has in a very long time. It pains me to even think about it. The service was slow and subpar and the food was horrible. This is not hyperbole. It was our anniversary dinner and we were so disappointed after hearing so many great things about this restaurant.
We were seated almost an hour after our reservation (9:45pm) while waiting couldn’t get bartenders attention. Food was tasteless & cold. Overpriced & underwhelming. Never going back
Absolutely delicious food in a beautiful atmosphere. Celebrated with friends but always happy to come for more of an intimate setting. My pork chop melted in my mouth! Always first rate.
Food is very good however portion sizes are relatively small. Ambiance is great.
We had a last-minute brunch and were able to have a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Full brunch and lunch menu plus lots of room between tables plus great service plus nice food!
Excellant food and service. However, we were seated behind a huge wall which totally blocked the garden view and was somewhat depressing.
I did not enjoy my meal. From the appetizers to dinner to dessert. All very disappointing. This is the 4th and last time I will venture up there for mediocre food. Service always good. Noisy. Everyone who works there very nice.
Reservations on line easy; it was a wonderful evening, perfect ambiance, great service, fabulous food and wine, introduced Darien resident to Jean-Georges and she was mesmerized ~ Only disappointment, although I should have known and remembered, is that prices for drinks and entrees are much higher than most area restaurants - probably similar to best in NY City.
It is difficult to find grass-fed beef on a menu and this restaurant offers grass-fed sirloin that is excellent. The rest of the meal was first-rate as well. A fine addition to the Westchester culinary scene.
This was our second time eating here and it wasn't as fulfilling. Possibly it had to do with the time we ate (7:45PM) and/or the location (upstairs). We went to celebrate Mother's Day and the food was good and service was ok. I was expecting 'wow' service and it was not. The ambiance is always great at this place.
Something is going on at this restaurant. Sometimes the food is very good and other times it’s quite sub par. Don’t really understand it. It’s very sad to have this premier restaurant in Westchester that is completely undependable.
Beautiful decor delicious food good service
We were seated downstairs which is lovely and overlooks a terrace
Another great celebration at the Inn !!!
Thank you !
Outstanding Mothers Day Brunch
We were a party of five for my daughters birthday. All the food was exceptional! Service was very disappointing.
Lots of hype but disappointing at the end of the day. The food came out cold and was mediocre at best.
Food was fantastic! Great service. Will definitely be back
Loved the low key and chic decor of the restaurant, Lunch was yummy and will definitely go back. Highly recommend for those who is looking for upscale yet casual atmosphere with delicious food.
Always a nice weekend joint for brunches
Sadly a bit noisy
We absolutely love the Inn At Pound Ridge. It's our favorite restaurant in Westchester County. Every time we go here we marvel at how fresh each dish is, how wonderfully creative the food is, how professional the service is and how the space truly is magical. This time was no different. We had a wonderful meal with spectacular Tuna Tartare, a great crabmeat crostini, very tasty cocktails. Truth be told, we were not as impressed with the entress this time. Not that they weren't good but the steak we had was a little tough and on the chewy side and my wife's lobster although good was not as flavorful as we remember. BUT, not bad by any means.
The only constructive criticism we would have and it's just a suggestion is to re-visit the way in which guests are greeted and taken care of. Our server was excellent, friendly, informative and attentive, but when entering the restaurant we noticed a sort of detached aloofness by several members of the staff. Not unfriendly or unhelpful by any means. Just not warm. This seems to be the go to "attitude" of many upscale restaurants and we think it's a mistake. When entering a restaurant, guests should feel immediately welcomed and welcome and staff should go out of their way to be greatful for all guests. This should continue from the host/hostess stand all the way through to every staff member. It wasn't a deal breaker by any means, but we believe this would elevate the ambiance and service of the restaurant.
That said, do yourself a favor and experience the greatness of the Inn at Pound Ridge!
My girlfriends birthday!
All things worked. Wonderful experience. Will recommend to others.
Thanks to everyone at the Inn for a great evening! It was the best night of the week.
Had such a wonderful birthday dinner with family! Sat upstairs and split apps and a pasta course before we each had an entree. Everyone’s meal was great!
The overall food and service are good, except the valet parking attendant was a little cold and rude. He didn't even say thanks and just grabbed the tip from my hand. I tipped pretty well too. I really liked the atmosphere of this place.
Food and service were outstanding. Would have preferred to sit downstairs.
We celebrated our anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed our evening. We sat at a great table, the staff was just the right amount of attentive, and the food was exceptional! We will be back!
I love dining at this establishment and this meal was great.
Very attentive staff.
Consistently delicious with great service.
The food was excellent, I loved the style of the restaurant. The service was very good, however once we had dessert, the manager circled our table and kept staring at our table. It was clear he wanted us to leave but we were still deep in conversation and enjoying our dessert. He made it uncomfortable so we left.
Food was excellent!! Very nice menu!! Would highly recommend!!
We went to have a delicious meal with amazing service to celebrate a big birthday within our family. We did get good food but the service was way slower than leisurely— drinks took 20 minutes and then our waiter would disappear for another 10 minutes. And it was so expensive that it felt overpriced for what we got. Really disappointed.
Always delicious. Wish the menu would change a bit more often. Keith is a fabulous waiter!
The Inn at Pound Ridge is a very special restaurant. The space is very comfortable. The staff is terrific. The food is outstanding. We have been there several times for various occasions as well as the desire for a consistently good meal. We were not disappointed.
Excellent food and service. Main courses have gotten much better over time. Service is excellent albeit a bit rushed. They could take a little more time between courses and let the guests enjoy a respite from life a bit longer. Dinner should be at least 1:30 long not 55minutes
Food was mediocre at best........first bad meal at a JG venue.
But it was noticeably poor. B-team in the kitchen on a saturday night ?
Pasta came out lukewarm.
Burger was on the verge of inedible.
Shame on us for not sending it back to the kitchen.
Been to many JG restaurants and this was first bad experience so will still go back.......
As always, a most wonderful time was had by all... everything one would want from a dining experience, from beautiful ambiance, friendly professional service, and most important from a restaurant -- outstanding and interesting and delicious food. Loved it.
Always good, and this time was no exception. Service attentive but not overbearing. Banquette Tables are a little close together, so hard to have a personal conversation. Families with small children are sprawling and can be disruptive. Food was fine. Crab appetizer exceptional. Burrata was a bit soupy.
Friday evening's meal was superb from start to finish.
Our waiter was courteous and well informed, as was the other staff waiting on our table.
The food was the best we've had at your restaurant (aside from the Party of 20 you hosted for my husbands birthday a year and 1/2 ago )
The only negative was the large group of people greeting us at the front desk. I realize that there are many people to train but 6 people hovering around our group was uncomfortable for all 4 of us.
Thanks for a lovely meal and experience.
