   Food wasn't great. Undercooked veg and pasta swimming in sauce like soup. Was told one of our desserts wasn't available after waiting ages for it to come to table. Service wasn't great. Awful acoustics. Couldn't hear each other talking.

   Excellent service. Only thing I thought was the portions were to big and the main meal was brought out straight away after your starter. Overall it was a lovley evening,food was delicious.

   We waited for our table for a considerable time, then as we were seated we were being rushed into ordering. They have tried to be quirky with the menu but it just doesn't work ... I'm not there for "happily ever after" for my dessert ... It wasn't pricey at all but unfortunately the food reflects this ... my chips were anemic and the baguette was somehow sticky and under baked. The place has had a freshen up decor wise ... this was lovely. The bar staff were great too, friendly and on the ball.

   Having eaten at this place during eat out to help out last year we both felt that the quality of the food compared to last year was much lower and the price ridiculously high.

    We were asked if it was a special occasion, it was, a birthday. Nothing special done?! The service was poor, extremely slow, asked for vinegar and didn’t get it, asked for a pudding menu, didn’t get that, had to wait till a waitress wandered by. Cleared half the plates, disappeared and left the rest. Didn’t get asked if we wanted more drinks but couldn’t go to the bar. The prices are too high now to allow regular visits. The fish and chips were greasy, as were the onion rings. The Parmesan fries were covered in cheddar. I don’t ever complain but, sorry, this was a poor birthday experience.

    Overall I enjoyed our recent visit to the Hurt Arms. The food and service were good but it was a strange atmosphere given the distancing between tables. This obviously can’t be helped and it was clear that a lot of effort had been made to make the experience as safe as possible. I was surprised that the restaurant was not table service and orders had to be placed at the bar which meant queuing in a small space around the bar.

    Tends to major on burgers, which are not to our taste but I realise they are now the trendy thing to order, but there is a fair variety of alternatives on offer. Can get noisy at busy times but fine on a weekday evening. Good selection of real ales

    Service was excellent - staff very friendly. All 4 of us had different main courses but the same desserts all of which were excellent - well cooked and presented. We thought the price of our meal represented really good value for money. We all said that we will be returning in the future. Thankyou.

    We would definitely recommend the food, it was great but the service was lacking. The service on the bar was incredibly slow when we arrived and we had to reconfirm our drinks several times. We had a lovely waitress, very chatty and great knowledge of the food but I am not sure if it was because they got busy in the bar but after we received our meals, mine missing the relish we were not checked back on for anything, drinks, issues with meal etc. When we came to pay, we noticed at the bar that it had been happy hour on cocktails and when we mentioned this we were pretty much told we should have asked if we wanted them. If we had know we would have definitely tried although would have been difficult with the lack of service. This place could be fantastic with a little work on the service, after waiting for our table to be cleared we did look at deserts but didn't fancy waiting again so headed closer to home for this.

    Food was amazing but seriously let down by the service. Staff not knowing specials/offers or even the cocktail offer stated in the menu (resulted in us being overcharged). Good and unique cocktails. Outdoor area seriously lacking.

    Food was absolutely beautiful and service was great however the experience was tainted by what seemed to be a swarm of flies in our corner of the room. I know this is something out of the restaurant's control however it did ruin the meal with them flying around and landing on our food. We did mention this to our server but nobody seemed to want to do anything to help. Other than that the visit was very enjoyable.

    too embarrassed to complain whilst in there.Dogs yapping , kids screaming, Food dreadful don't have the Korean tacos...everything was dry. table sticky , customer care on messaging afterwards dreadful. huge advocate normally for this place but seems standards have dropped somewhat .

    Fabulous staff. Everyone, down to the last person, was friendly and engaging. The menu described an intriguing array of foods and flavours and we were not disappointed. Everything was delicious and we look forward to our next visit.

    Don’t know if I would recommend would have to try again. My steak were fine my wife had fish said it were dry and no taste to it, brother said his were average. Pudding I didn’t have one wife had cheesecake said it were awful sent it back did complain about it and they did knock it off bill

    We went as a family of 5 on my son’s birthday. Clearly they were busy, but service was slow, especially getting our drinks. Food was all ok, if nothing special. My crab linguini however was quite bizarre and appeared to be made up with leftover veg, as it had loads of peppers and boiled potatoes in it, with no sign of the chillies or crispy onions advertised on the menu. Boiled potatoes? With pasta? If that had been on the menu I wouldn’t have ordered it. The bird cages the burgers are served in do take up lots of room on the table and I felt detracted from our experience. It was less intimate having to look at everybody through cages. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful, so no complaints there at all, but even she admitted it was all a bit busy. The overall ambience was ok, but again nothing special. It was all a bit loud and the decor/furniture a little too shabby without being chic. Will give it another go at some stage, but will try elsewhere first.
