At The Huntsman Tavern, you'll find a favorite neighborhood restaurant where you can enjoy a rich, buttery steak or rotisserie chicken, prepared over a wood-fired grill, as well as other American favorites including seafood, salads and more! We offer craft cocktails, a large wine & beer selection, and a whisk(e)y bar offering an impressive collection of spirits. We are located in historic, downtown Ellensburg.

In the event that Open Table suggests we are booked, please call 509-925-4868 (509-925-HUNT) as we may have limited availability.

Children are welcome in the dining area.

We have a 10 minute grace period; please call us if you are running more than 10 minutes behind.

Your table will be reserved for 1.5 hours.

We do our best to accommodate all requests however, we do not guarantee specific tables and reserve on a first request basis.

Ordered prime rib as medium rare and it was served well done, then we were told well done was the rarest piece they had (that should have been stated when we ordered). We were a group of 6 and the server delivered 4 of our drinks and the last 2 sat at the bar for almost 10 minutes while he chatted with folks at another table. Would have been appropriate for the bartender to deliver them as he was doing nothing and had no guests at the bar. There was no sense of urgency by either of the 2 servers or bartender for drinks, food or delivering the check. The woman at the table next to us stood waving her check for several minutes and finally walked over to the computer and asked one of the servers to process her payment. The restaurant has great decor and a really cool vibe, but sadly the food was mediocre at best and the service was subpar. I think with some proper training of the staff the service could match the vibe and food could be accurately described to avoid any disappointment when served. Unfortunately, we were there for a graduation celebration and it did not live up to our expectations and was not very memorable.

So excited they are back!!! Food was as good, if not better than before. The craft drinks are still a highlight, and this place totally rocks the service. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Our love affair with the Huntsman continues!

We made reservations for my husband‘s birthday and everything was wonderful. Juliet was our server and she was amazing. We had everything on time. Everything was perfect. Food was great and all the drinks with the entrées that we ordered was spot on and it was a perfect experience, loved it.

The Huntsman never disappoints. The food and service are great. The atmosphere is perfect for an intimate meal or entertainment. Their wine selection is that of a higher-level restaurant. Must-see in Ellensburg

Omgosh, this is one of my favorite places to go. The staff are so helpful and friendly, never too much. The food is delicious, had the prime rib dip, which is a tower of yummy goodness! Plus I get one of the best crafted Old Fashions to sip and enjoy! Doesn’t get much better than that.

Amazing dinner. We had rib eyes and fried chicken. The garlic mashed and gravy with the chicken was perfect and the steaks, well let’s just say they are some of the best I’ve ever had had.

Ethan made sure this special celebration was top of the line. He had the tables ready and the champagne chilled. He is a delight to have at your table.

Our server Tyler was top notch! Very informative on specials!! Blackened Salmon was by far one of the best meals I have ever had there! Needs to be on the menu year round ❤️

We had a booth it was the best!! Very private! Three items on the menu two main dishes and one wine were out of stock that part of the experience was disappointing.
