Good and food and nice service. Chili cheese fries were surprisingly good.
Where do I begin? Our reservations were for outdoor dining but when we arrived there was a fierce rainstorm which had started over an hour before and we were told by three different people that they could not seat us because our "reservations were for outside." We asked why they did not call us to tell us that, since we had driven over 45 minutes to get there. (In the meantime there were several empty tables.) Apparently, after several minutes, someone used their head and said they would find us a table. The entire time we sat there eating (well over an hour) there were empty tables. The one good thing to add here is that the waitstaff was very attentive and worked hard to take our order and serve it.
One of us ordered a "bowl of chicken rice soup," $10.00, and the Asian chicken salad ($18.00). The soup only arrived after the main courses were served and it was a half full cup and had no rice in it. The Asian chicken salad (Heavy on the Asian and light on the chicken!) was a bowl of cut up lettuce and a few small pieces of chicken....hardly an $18.00 dish. The "top O' the Morning" burger was decent though the "bakon" was inedible.
Unless there are some COVID rules I don't know about, I cannot understand why a self-described "burger and fries" bistro would serve catsup in tiny disposable covered cups which contained at most, 2 tablespoons of catsup. The waste and environmental impact is criminal. It's a burger joint--bottles of catsup are acceptable.
As far as the noise level--it was painful. Also, if social distancing was still required, you could not eat here as there is little room between tables.
I hate to have to give this kind of a review to a new place whose owners clearly worked hard and spent lots of money. Running a kosher restaurant is not easy and is expensive but don't take advantage of your customers with overpricing and some untrained staff.
Food was great as was the service. A little noisy and crowded.
The food was delicious and it’s really neat that they smoke all of their meats in house. Unfortunately, we had to wait dir quite a while to be seated even though we had a reservation. The wait staff seemed super busy and I was worried they may have forgotten about us. Our outdoor table was on a big slant and several times our food and drink nearly fell off the table as a result. I’d definitely go back to this restaurant.
Amazing customer service! Super fast getting the food! So polite and helpful. Thank you for a great experience!
Love their food. Can never go wrong and it’s always amazing. Just fantastic, tasty, quality and enjoyable food. This was the first time I had bad service so it was noticeable. Waitress took our order and we never saw her again. Had to flag down other waiters and runners to get what we needed, even the check!
Would of course go back - they’re good is incomparable!!
Restaurant ran out of chicken and many drink items and we were there at 6:45, not 9:00. Couldn’t order many items we wanted since they had no chicken. Other items were pretty good. Didn’t ask how we wanted hamburgers cooked, so they were too well done.
Waiter remembered everything without writing it down . Big portions and great tasting food .
Great food and service! Will definitely be back!!!
the service was the worst. Had to ask for water and glasses twice. when they served the appetizer only gave two set up for 3 people and didn't ask if everything was ok. I had ordered french fries with my meal and they were not served until we were all done with the meal. The waiter told me I could take them home. I told him I didn't want them. I asked him to take it it off the bill. He said he would but when the check came it was still on there.
Everything they make here is so tasty, fresh and flavorful. Great place, just love their food!!
Excellent food, a bit cramped for eat-in, not cheap but not overly expensive, whole family loved the food. And did I mention the food was great?
The humble toast has amazing food. It's in a prime location near many other restaurants. The crew and the owner are all passionate and enthusiastic about thier jobs. I would eat here anyday !!! The place is clean and extremely covid cautious.
Great food. Good pricing speedy service . Worth the trip
We made the trip from Brooklyn and were not disappointed! Looking forward to our next trip
Great service!! The wait staff was wonderful-so pleasant & attentive!
I always enjoy supporting this local business. The food is great and during these times of extreme safety proper precautions were in place and followed strictly. I will definitely be returning to this establishment.
A Great enjoyable place with delicious food! Highly recommended.
