About The Hudson LA
Our menu features the season's freshest ingredients served in a classically cool environment. We offer a selection of ever-changing microbrews as well as your classic favorites. Exposed Edison bulbs, distressed metal, and candlelight set the stage for an extended open-air patio that makes up two-thirds of the restaurant. Fifty foot trees dramatically lit from below sprout up through the main dining room and high-backed booths, dark wood, and rich burgundy fabric impart the feel of a pre-Prohibition Chicago banker bar.

The Hudson LA Ratings and Reviews
Love The Hudson! Great ambiance, lively crowd and fantastic DJ on Friday nights! Go here often on the weekends for dinner and drinks. The bar area gets pretty packed but it's a great place to grab a quick drink! Service was good, food was great.. would definitely recommend!
No complaints whatsoever. I took a coworker there for brunch after a Sunday meeting.
This is probably a great place for 20-30somethings. We’re in our 50’s. It was just too loud, busy, & casual for us.
We had a kale salad & breakfast burrito both of which were good. The server, Raychel, was pleasant & attentive.
Easily accommodated our group of 5 on a Saturday evening.
Good food with large, fresh salads and great bar food. We liked the cocktails - especially the fall fizz with apple and gin fizz. My only issue was that it was so loud we could not have a conversation very well and my ears hurt when we left.
We have passed by this place hundreds of times but never tried it out. We had a dinner with another couple and wanted to try something new (to us) and The Hudson was perfectly equidistant for both we and the other couple to walk to.
The ambiance is quite nice - there are at least three trees that the building was built around, so it is kind of cool to see the real tree trunks going through the dining room. This coupled with the building's wooden design and decor makes it feel like you are dining in a rustic cabin somewhere outside of the city. The vibrant bar scene, however, reminds you that you are still in the city. This place is definitely more frequented by those looking for cocktails and a bar scene over those looking to dine in. Luckily, there is a dining room separate from the bar, so you can still eat in peace; however, the music is very loud and the lighting is kept so dark we all had to use our cellphones to illuminate the menus.
The opinions on our food were split down the middle. Two of us ordered the Skirt Steak and loved it. The other two of us ordered their Brown Rice Bowl with Chicken and found it to be way too salty and the chicken dry and overcooked.
The service is spotty at best. I asked the waitress for a separate glass with ice and a lime to accompany my sparkling water at least 4 times: when I ordered it (and she asked if I wanted a separate water glass), when she brought it, when she brought our appetizers and after our entrees arrived. The next time we saw her was when she literally threw the dessert menu (with only two selections) on our table and ran off again.
I have a feeling we will pass this place another hundred times or so before we try it out again.
Overall the experience was pretty good. We got a reservation for exactly the time we wanted. Everyone was happy with their food but the service could have been a bit better. No one working at the time seemed too friendly, just there to do their job basically. I would definitely give the staff another shot, as it was 10:30am on a Sunday.
Ick. The flies were disgusting. People were constantly swatting them away during our visit. Also, either turn the air on or open the windows, no one wants to sit in a room that feels like people are breathing on you. Unfortunately, seems like the food and service quality have been on the decline.
Came to Hudson on Saturday for lunch with my parents and grandmother. I booked online but called the hostess in advance to let her know that my gramma has very limited mobility. She was totally helpful and opened the door for us on the left side of the restaurant so we could use the ramp and placed us at their table in the back so we'd have a bit more quiet. Everyone was extremely kind and accommodating and we will definitely be back - thank you to the hostess, staff and manager who checked on us when we were done. It made all the difference in the world.
Staff was very accommodating for an unexpected large group. They let a table of 6 become an 8, and then a 12. At first we were warned they might need one of our pulled-together-tables for other parties, but when it was time... they moved the later groups so as not break us up. Great service, perfect sized portions and fantastic happy hour!
Our waitress was really cool until we had to use multiple credit cards to pay for our meals. She questioned me about her manger telling us that we could use multiple cards. She kind of through a fit to be honest. The fries were dry, 3 people ordered the steak sandwich and all three of them said it was dry. I was most annoyed with my drink. How are you going to have a Moscow mule without a copper cup? It was horrible.
I had a great time. It wasn't my first time at the Hudson but it was my first time for dinner. I totally thought we were going to be squeezed out during happy hour but there were seats at the bar, a good game on and friendly bar tenders. The drinks are strong and well made and the ladies knew what they were doing. Each guest was well taken care of it wasn't hard to get service and the vibe is just so sexy at nighttime. It was just right not too crowded (I was surprised for a Saturday night) but it was just what I wanted to celebrate with my boyfriend. I love The Hudson and already have friends planning dinner dates with their girlfriends. GO TO HAPPY HOUR PEOPLE it's every day!
