    Despite it being a bit chaotic with the Mother’s day rush, the food was good and Sam was very attentive to my family. Hope to return soon!

    We had a fabulous brunch! Absolutely perfect spot for Mother’s Day. I had been wanting to try it out, and it exceeded my expectations. Definitely a place to go for a special occasion.

    For the price, I was underwhelmed. The buffet area was cramped, it took a long time to get an omelette, the other food was not hot, just somewhat warm and the actual food wasn’t that great. The dessert was ok, nothing too exciting and the fruit ran out quickly but was not as fresh as I would expect. Also, there was a water station inside but no cups anywhere to be found. It was a really warm day so it would haven been nice to have water while getting my food. Last point is that on the patio they were struggling with the umbrellas so they were being messed with throughout our meal. One of them nearly tipped over but was 100% necessary given the sun and temp. This was my second year coming here and I will likely skip next year.

    My daughter took me here for Mother's Day. Originally, we had booked the inside but when we got there and saw how beautiful it was, we decided to eat outside, which was great. We did walk around the inside of the house and looked around. Words can't describe how beautiful this house is. Our server was Rudy. He was very welcoming, friendly, he checked on us constantly. Everything was great at the end of the meal I asked who the owner was and and if he was there and could come over his name is Steven, he did come over and spoke with my daughter and I which I really appreciated. This review can't do "The House on the River" any justice but if you are looking for a quiet or not so quiet waterfront affordable restaurant this is the place for you. Every room holds something special. You just have to decide where you want to be.

    Drinks were awful to the point I sent them back and waited to leave to have a cocktail elsewhere. Food was mediocre at best nothing memorable or worth returning for. Ambiance was great but not enough to return. Overall very disappointing.

    I had read some negative post about slow service, etc however I found the service to be prompt. The food was very good. Price was fair and it’s a great location if you’re going to the Broward Performing Arts center.
