NEVER, NEVER, NEVER AGAIN! Several years ago, I reviewed this restaurant on Yelp and stated that I would never return due to the extremely poor service and the attitude of those who work there. However, I had no choice but to make a reservation here for Valentines Day, since this was literally the only restaurant that had a reservation available before 9pm (in retrospect, it is obvious why they still had reservations available). What a mistake! Nothing has changed. The server was very patronizing, inattentive and arrogant.... and actually tried correcting me 3 TIMES on the pronunciation of the word "Haut" on a bottle of wine (I know my French, know my wine, and know my pronunciations-she was wrong. In case you read this madame, the "t" is not pronounced in French when a word ends in "t" so you might want to quit trying to put your customers down and embarrassing them). The time it took to get the starters, main course and desserts out was incredible.....and it was not the kitchen's fault, as a table of 4 next to us were seated after us served before us (by a long shot) and left the establishment before we had dessert. And our waiter never stopped by to give us an update on why it was taking so long. When I inquired, she said "Oh, it's a very busy night". I get that...which is why they had a price fixed, limited selection menu last night so the kitchen could handle it. Our waiter never came by and asked if we would like more water, there was not a set up of utensils or napkin on one side of the table (which the waiter should have noticed when she first came by), never stopped by to ask us if we were enjoying the meal and was just generally acting like a stuck up, spoiled brat child-snob. This place is the absolute worst for service. The food is fine, but not outstanding, so I am okay with that, but the interior of the place has seen better days, the chairs are wobbly, the wood pretty beat up. Take a pass on this place, you will be glad you did.

I enjoyed the overall experience. I have been here two times, both as a date. My partner and I had a great time on both occasions. She loved the food, however, for me, the food was a little disappointing. For the price, I expected more flavor in the dishes. Portions range from just right to slightly on the smaller side which is ok if the flavors stand out. Just expect a little more I guess. Although, since my gf likes it, we will definitely be back .

House Brasserie is probably one of the top restaurants in the state. The food is delicious, unique and thought-provoking, while the atmosphere is fun and elegant. The service left a lot to be desired, however. It's strange to me that a restaurant with so much style and excellence would have such a gaping hole in the front-of-house matters. It took approximately 52 minutes from the time we sat down to receiving our first drinks, and the lengthy delays continued for the course of our very long dinner.

We have always had a great experience at The House. However, this time we were let down. The service was mediocre and the food (only one entree) was overcooked - significantly. A $30 piece of grouper was slightly larger than a fingerling potato and was very tough and dry. The rest of the meal was great!

Heard great things about restaurant. Here's the summary:
1. Took three times to get our drink order correct...after taking way to long on each occasion. And they weren't that good after all of that time.
2. Bib salad was excellent
3. Grouper sauce was incredible - the grouper itself had the consistency of a very large thick rubber band, that was freezer burned
4. Noice was pretty loud, but what restaurant isn't on a Saturday night. But did feel we had six extra guest with us
5. Cheese puffs were the best part of the entire meal
6. Wait staff and manager were nice and professional just very slow and the main was sub-standard, which all in all ruined the evening.

Ambitious menu, not bad, but not as great as they want you to believe. Wine lists by the glass miss the mark. Cocktails are great. Menu is good but poorly executed for some of the items. Service is great, but lack of attention to detail makes it good, not great.

By far the worst dining experience that we have had in a very long time. After taking our order we never saw our server again. Twice we had to get up and find someone to assist us. The lamb bolognese was tasteless and I would guess had been made days ago. We spoke to the manager and he said that they were very busy! No apology. They know the seating capacity and also the number of reservations so what is the surprise when people show up?

Our waiter Robert was one of the best servers we have ever had. The backup staff was on top of things, also.
Food was great as was the wine, drinks and coffee.
Pricier menu but not a surprise as we knew this was a high end restaurant.

Wonderful ambience, service, and food. Absolutely lovely evening. Highly recommend. Reasonably priced glasses of wine are limited, however, but there were some nice selections. It would be nice to have a few more selections in the moderately priced range.

We all enjoyed the Baja Grouper was excellent but the Lamb Bolognese had too much tomato sauce and it overpowered the lamb and pasta. We were not able to really enjoy the taste of the lamb nor the pasta. Dish could be greatly improved if less tomato sauce was in the dish.
