Lovely. Food was great
Supremely delicious food!!
Spectacular food and service!!
Beautiful setting and ambience.
Unfortunately , that was it for us.
My wife and I love this restaurant. Great food and drinks, we are never disappointed!!! Cheers
Everything was excellent except for the terribly weak coffee. Will be back!
Took my best friend here for her birthday and fell in love with the atmosphere and food. The staff is so friendly, the food is delicious and the drink and wine list was perfect. I look forward to visiting this restaurant again soon.
Food was unreal. Unfortunately we showed up prime time @ 830 when they were slammed. Service was slow and subpar to start (took 25 mins to get water). Besides service, it was amazing. Ambiance is awesome w lights & fire
We live in the neighborhood and are fairly regular diners at House Brasserie and have always had great experiences. This visit was a bit of a surprise in that the kitchen was very slow, service more than a bit off the normal high standard and food really let us down. The branzino and fried chicken were excellent but the fish side dish was not recognizable. Mac and Cheese was dry with a strange flavor and the fried rice mushy and over-seasoned. Hoping for a better visit next time.
Finally went back here after swearing I would never return 5 years ago. Thought it might have improved. It has not. REALLY overpriced, drinks more expensive than Steak 44, food very average, and a little dingy inside. We did not get our food order taken for 45 minutes. Table was wobbly and tried to get someone to put a shim under the leg and that took 20 minutes. I really just do not get this place. In another 5 years, if this place is still around, I will remind myself to read my past reviews.
Our new favorite 'date night' spot. Great setting with a wonderfully colorful local history. Excellent range of prices on the wine list from 'painless' to 'holy cow' with some great options in each category. The night we were there it was very busy and this may have led to some minor service issues and a mix up on our wine order. However when we brought them to light the response was overwhelmingly positive and gracious. We left feeling very special and plan to become regulars. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a cozy foody spot in Phoenix. Worth the drive from any part of the city.
First visit here on a Friday after work. The vibe seems to be after work colleague dinners, in a great location Old Town. The cocktail menu and small plates caught our eye. The inside is adorable and the side patio is intimate. The larger tent on the parking lot is decorated so nicely, you don't notice that you are in the parking lot (too much). Cocktails were well prepared but overpriced. The wine selection is limited but overall has everything you want. The small plates were interesting, especially the beef tartare and halibut cheeks. The fries with the fish were bland and boring. Dessert was pretty, not overwhelming in size. Overall a nice atmosphere.
The food was delicious, the service was excellent, the atmosphere was beautiful, warm, and inviting. Highly recommend!!
Food was good but, coming from someone that frequents nice restaurants, we were surprised at how expensive this restaurant was for the quality. Including tip, our tab came out to $490 for a party of 4.
It was romantic, amazing food, fabulous wine choices and excellent service!
Had a fab dinner and the House Brasserie. They are always are on point. Get patio seating for a romantic experience.
A friend of ours treated us to a nice meal at The House Brasserie. We were very impressed by the level of service there. Our glasses were never empty. The waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. We spoke with the owner who explained the history of the house. The food was fantastic! I had the filet mignon which was so flavorful. I also ordered the crab cake and mac and cheese. It was very memorable Tuesday night out!
Exceptional service and amazing quality of food.
Visiting from out of town and made a Valentine’s Day reservation at The House Brasserie. Great service, very cute environment, and excellent food. Loved the patio vibe and the old house feel. The filet was excellent and i’ts accompaniments were delicious (charred broccolini, etc). Would 100% recommend and will return if ever in Scottsdale again.
We went for valentines dinner and couldn’t have been happier with our experience. A beautiful restaurant with lovely ambience and wonderful staff. The food was absolutely amazing and made to perfection, couldn’t have been better. Definitely going to visit again for a delightful evening.
This restaurant is the perfect cozy romantic setting. The food and cocktails were absolutely amazing. This is by far the best restaurant I’ve been to in Scottsdale. Definitely a hidden gem.
Pork chop was very fatty and not eatable. Chicken was over cooked. $34 for a chicken breast and one leg.....
A beautiful restaurant for an evening out or celebrating a special occasion.
Tommy, our server, was excellent. Very attentive and the food was incredible.
Service was great, food was amazing. Drinks were world class.
I was a little disappointed in the initial service felt very clunky and disjointed but once our drinks came it improved.
Outdoor dining was great under the tent, I’d recommend cranking up the heaters it was windy and a little chilly.
Main course if Argentino steak and lobster pasta was amazing. Hats off to the chef.
Can’t wait to try it again post Covid.
Our food was cold and had no flavor. We ordered the filet and lobster linguine. Both, unfortunately, tasted like they were cooked hours before and barely warmed up. For the price, I expected far better. I’m very disappointed and will not be returning.
I ordered the citrus chicken. When it came to the table the chicken was very salty and the slaw was nothing but sesame oil. Inedible. I told our waitress who suggested I dip my chicken in the mashed potatoes to ease the salty taste. The kitchen manger did come out and offered to make a new plate salt free which was boxed for me to take home. Once home I opened the box of chicken and saw the excess salt on top of the chicken. I shook the chicken over a plate and could hear the salt dropping off it. I had an overpriced experience which I will never suggest to anyone.
Second visit to House Brasserie and it did not disappoint. Charming atmosphere mixed with superb food and great service. My new favorite restaurant!
First timers at the restaurant. Found it when looking for a place to take my wife and her brother and sister-in-law for Valentine’s Day while we were vacationing in Phoenix.
Had an outdoor table. Server did a nice job. Check with top ended up around $700 for 4 but we did have 2 bottles of wine and some had cocktails. Also had 2 starters and 1 dessert.
Wonderful food and lovely ambiance. Would go back again when in Scottsdale.
Service was wonderful! A bit disappointed with the lobster pasta as it says fresh truffle but didn’t have any on my dish.
Amazing experience here! From the history of the house turned restaurant to the exquisite food to the service...it was all perfect! We will definitely be back!
The food is always excellent. However it is a little pricey. You get what you pay for. Service from wait staff on top of it.
Second time visiting the House. Amazing food & service.
Previous dining experiences have been excellent. Our latest experience fell a bit short with 2 of the 3 main courses were served barely warm. I suspect they were very busy and the plates were not served immediately. We sent the two meals back to the kitchen. My filet was returned on a boiling hot plate but the filet was barely cooked, not medium as requested. The server was very apologetic for the issue and provided two complementary deserts.
THE FOOD IS ALWAYS GREAT AND THE SERVICE IS EXCELLENT!
My wife and I have been to The House several times and we believe it gets better with each visit. The personnel work as a team and the service in impeccable. The owner/manager checks in just to make sure all is well.
The food is outstanding and the wine list is very good. We can not recommend a higher rating.
One of my favorite Old Town locations. Great for date night or special occasion.
