Justin was our server and he was amazing. Impeccable service! Food was also top notch. Perfectly cooked filet, citrus fried chicken was moist and deliciously crispy. Chicken meatball appetizer was also better than expected. I would definitely recommend going there - I will be going back for sure!
We had a wonderful time, service was outstanding, the food was fantastic, you must try the Lamb.
This was our 1st visit and we really enjoyed it would highly recommend it!
Excellent food, friendly service. Good vegetarian options although the cauliflower steak could have had fewer ingredients: a lot going on there.
What a great date night out!! This chef and this menu
WOW!! We had a great waiter to Justin is a pro
It’s one of those places that if you only had two days in Scottsdale it’s a do not miss
There are so many great restaurants in the city and this just got in on my top five!!
Quaint restaurant nestled in an historic Scottsdale home.
Inside dining is a little tight.
The outdoor patio looks beautiful and spacious and would be delightful when the temperatures cool this fall.
Our server, Justin, did a very nice job! He was attentive and took care of any requests we had rapidly.
The food presentation was very nice. We shared the pork chop, arugula salad, cauliflower/broccoli side and the Mac n cheese.
Our biggest disappointment was with the flavors of the various dishes. We found them to be rather bland or the flavor pairings of the seasonings, sauces and sides somewhat confusing to the palate.
As former restaurant owners, we’d suggest the chef do some independent focus group tastings to get frank and honest assessments of his dishes. We are only one couple, but we left feeling that we were not motivated to return.
Being a “destination” restaurant, you want a memorable experience for your patrons to make them want to return.
We had a table of 5 and were sat immediately upon our arrival. Ordered shishito peppers and steak tartare for appetizers. Both were just okay. We ordered 3 filets and the pork chops. Every single dish was overcooked. The sides were small, especially for the prices. The wine was way overpriced, especially in comparison to similar restaurants. The service was fine. The ambiance was great, but hard to enjoy with everything else. We will not be returning.
It was wonderful!
We had the best time and best wine pairing! This is a favorite spot for a special occasion
Some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had here! I tried the green lantern and their coffee cocktail! Food was incredible too!
A wonderful experience that will be repeated. Food, service and attention are unmatched in our recent experiences. Joe's leadership experience makes for a grand evening for all. Hurry over!!
a wonderful experience that will be often repeated. Joe makes you feel so comfortable and welcome.
Host was amazing, server was mediocre, at best. Ambiance was fun. Food wasn’t anything to write home about. We had to get salt and pepper from the bar, server spent time talking to people,
he obviously knew, and sitting at the bar. Restaurant was NOT busy. There were a handful of tables while we were there. For the price, not worth it.
Wonderful place for a special dinner. Delicious food and amazing service.
Outstanding dining experience in every respect.
Server “Tommy” personalized his efficient service beyond any expectation.
Wonderful service and delicious food!
From the moment we walked in this place was perfect. The decor was an elegant throw back that was really well executed. We had an awesome corner booth that was great for date night. Our server Justin was awesome. And the food. I had filet and my wife had the pork chop. The flavor was off the charts and both dishes were cooked exactly as ordered. The wine list was very solid and we had a nice red blend that came highly recommended and didn’t disappoint. We spent 2.5 hours there and enjoyed every minute.
The food & service is amazing! Delicious! The waitstaff very attentive. My only complaint is the prices seem like they were set for NYC. The average entree was $30-$50. Higher than most places I have been in Scottsdale.
Tables were seated a bit tight and close considering it is supposed to be social distancing. My fiend felt a bit uncomfortable and I over heard the couple next to us feeling a bit uncomfortable as well.
Outstanding table service. Beautiful ambiance. Great food presentation. Loved our experience there.
Food and service were Fabulous
There to meet an old friend. Timothy our server took amazing care of us He did not rush us and was the perfect amount of attentive. Lovely experience
Unique presentations on upscale ingredients. My favorite was the Oregon wild foraged mushrooms. I have never had anything like it. Outstanding!!!
The atmosphere was great! The food not so much. Citrus chicken was bland and still had a floury grit but the it was crispy. The crab fried rice was one note and tasted more like Spanish rice. We enjoyed the beef tartare.
Everything at The House is exceptional. The ambience is elegant and relaxing. The drinks and food are the best in Scottsdale. The wait staff and owner are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.
A great place for a quiet, relaxing dinner, or to meet friends for drinks on the patio. A fun but chill vibe. A good variety of food choices (although they could use a few more vegan/vegetarian options), and great cocktails - the house strawberry lemonade is wonderful!
It was my friend’s 30th birthday dinner and she has never been here. She loved it. I always love The House - great service, great food. The chicken meatballs are delicious; salmon was fantastic. They also gave us a really good dessert that we couldn’t stop eating.
$70 steak came medium when we asked for medium-rare, would have been 5/5 if the steak had been cooked as asked. Pork chop was good but not very flavorful. Our favorites were the turmeric mashed potatoes and the Brussels sprouts starter.
My date and I went during restaurant week for a first time visit to The House Brasserie. We received an appetizer which was an arugula, strawberry, fig salad which was very tasty. For the entrée, my date ordered the steak marinated in a balsamic glaze with cooked carrots and horse radish cream sauce on the side. I got the scallops with a side of some kind of grain mixed with red beans marinated in a sweet sauce. Personally, I did not like my entrée. I ended up eating most of my dates meal, he had no problem eating mine. We finished the evening with a chocolate cookie and vanilla milkshake which was very delicious. All of this for $44 each. What a deal! The aesthetics of the restaurant is very cozy, quaint, and elegant. I wish it was cooler to sit outside because the patio was also very pretty.
We went to The House Brasserie for Restaurant Week and it was absolutely amazing from the staff through the meal. They were very attentive and the food was perfect! We chose the steak option which was presented with artistic flair and cooked perfectly. It was a very enjoyable evening!
great food, wonderful ambiance and exceptional service.
Great service and excellent food. Although it is in old town, the House Brasserie is on a quiet street - you feel like you are eating dinner on a patio at a friend's house. Very nice ambiance makes for a very enjoyable evening. We are looking forward to having dinner there again in the near future.
Amazing service, cuisine, and ambiance! One of our top favorites in all of AZ
Outstanding meal; great service and love the ambiance!
The very best you could expect in cuisine and service
We had the Restaurant Week menu for our first time at this restaurant. The food was magnificent. I had the flank steak which was the best combination of flavors I have ever hand for a flank steak. My wife had the scallops and loved them. Service was excellent and the atmosphere very nice. Other than the wine list being pricey, it was a truly enjoyable experience. We will be back
Justin, our waiter was great. Good suggestions, available but not intrusive. Great food great wine great atmosphere
Great dining experience outside on the patio! Food as great along with the service.
We sat at the bar and had great service there. They brought our entree before our salad so we sent the entree back. That was a mistake as it then took an hour to get our dinner and it wasn't very busy.
Overall, food was good but this service issue took away from an otherwise great night. The Manhattan is one of the best in town!
Great atmosphere, we ate on patio under tent. Service was slow but we understood their staff shortage just post pandemic. Food was good but potatoes were not temperature hot enough. Cauliflower dish was delicious but also not served hot enough. It's worth it to give them another try sometime.
The restaurant is in a very charming small yellow house with garden like outdoor area. We came here with friends for restaurant week and it was a nice overall dining experience. The service was good and tentative throughout the experience. Awesome cocktails! My husband, who is not fish/seafood eater, had the swordfish and he really enjoyed it. I had the steak and it was good, but nothing exceptional about it. Overall we enjoyed the experience and look forward to coming back to trying their regular menu soon!
