Great - delicious and memorable
Excellent food and service! Waitress was conscientious of our preferences, attentive, and friendly. Great experience!
Very nice place great oysters and soup
The best place to have a brunch
The staff and food was fantastic. We had a wonderful time
The food was excellent -- fresh swordfish, yellowtail crudo, and generous lobster roll -- and the service was fine. Our only complaint was the noise level -- it's a very busy place! -- but we were there on a Saturday evening, so it might be quieter on other evenings. Also, we were seated in a row of two-person tables, all close to one another. A corner table or booth might have been better. Noise level and seating aside, we'll be back for the marvelous, super fresh seafood.
The flight of oysters was excellent. The fish and chips were nicely battered, super crispy, and perfectly cooked.
When in the Cambridge area the restaurant is a must. Wonderful seafood.
An early weekend lunch, so it was quieter than I would expect in the bar, but great service and fantastic oysters. We would definitely eat here again.
All the food was awesome and Chloe was excellent as well!
Took my wife and son out for a meal while visitin
Food and atmosphere was very nice. The only complaint by those in our party was the portion size was a bit small.
The fish dishes are fresh and delicious! Service is friendly and attentive.
It was a cold night but sitting outside with the heat lamps was comfortable. Great for oysters and has a good, varied menu otherwise.
Inside dining was full so we ate in the courtyard under an overhead heater. It was still chilly and a bit noisy. It would have been better to sit at a table next to the street with larger heaters. Food was excellent as was the service.
Great atmosphere, great food - loved the lobster roll! Oysters were fresh and delicious.
The oysters were delicious and the service was great. More people back in the Square means a bigger crowd and more noise! The salmon was delicious as were the fish and chips. I am not fond of shoestring fries, but the fish was perfectly cooked.
Stopped in for a Sunday lunch and were treated to a great array of local oysters and good fried seafood. Staff did a great job as well. A great meal in a great spot.
Wonderful waitress & beautiful location plus excellent food. Did not like how crowded the bar area was during Covid. But once we got to our booth there was good distance from others and felt Covid safe.
The oysters were amazing and the scallop dish was perfect!!!
Overall, not bad. Nice location, lovely interior, noise level so-so, food good. What I wasn’t crazy about was that it felt like they just wanted to turn tables. It all felt a bit rushed…and at this price-point we shouldn’t be hurried. The waitress was attentive but at the same time came by a few too many times to ask “how are you doing?” I’d estimate 5-6 times which was veering on oppressive—and wanting to turn a table.
Fresh seafood and a charming setting in Cambridge are the draws here. The menu is limited and not especially creative, but that’s true to the Oyster House format.
Very well done traditional New England seafood with great ambience and location in Harvard Square. Highly recommend.
Had dinner here with a friend, we loved it!! Great food (oysters were awesome!!), fun atmosphere, and friendly/attentive service. We ate outside on the patio--it was a chilly night but the heaters helped. Highly recommend!
Location and ambiance was excellent. Oysters are great, other food is decent.
Terrifically fresh ingredients. Authentically friendly and knowledgeable service all around from hostess bar staff to servers. brassiere ambience. Crowd was mostly 30+ yo
We were very happy with our experience during a very busy weekend in Cambridge. My husband and I made reservations for two a few weeks ago, however, the morning of our dinner we called to change the reservation to five. They were very accommodating and nice about the change.
Additionally our server Angie was friendly and made our evening very fun. We will definitely come back.
The food was grand and the service was great! Thank you all
Ordered a tower of seafood which costs $120, plus two glasses of wine. I wanted a good dinner. But It was completely different from the picture in the website. So little amount of seafood. Anything flavored tasted too sour like vinegar. Not worth the money at all.
Seafood excellent and well prepared. One of our party was used to more mayo with his lobster roll and our waiter took note of mayo on the side. When i glanced over at Stevie, he was happily eating the lobster without the extra mayo. Raw bar items swiftly prepared and I especially recommend the oysters. Clam chowder and lobster bisque devoured. Sandwiches come with either fries or salad. Only empty plates left. The espresso martini is perfect for brunch or lunch.
Nice outdoor dining area, food, wine and service were all good.
Delicious seafood. Exceptionally friendly staff. Reasonably priced. What's not to love about this place?
Experience was really amazing. Clam chowder was some of the best I’ve ever had, service was great (Cameron was fantastic). Great ambiance and lighting—would come back!
Got there early and they were very accommodating …they let us sit at the bar where our bartender set us up with specialty drinks and oysters and then off to our table for great swordfish and scallops… awesome service and rose wine!! We will be back again soon!
Great quality seafood; traditional salade nicoise with salmon - a nice touch. The tuna tatare appetizer was small but delicious.
Our server Cameron was FANTASTIC!! Great personality and excellent recommendations. These were by far the best quality oysters we have ever had. They were also shucked and prepared perfectly. Not once did we ever get a piece of shell.
Seafood is fresh and salad is very good as well as exceptional oysters and wine selection is excellent as well
Fish and chips and clam chowder were great. Tahini bowl was pretty good.
Staff was amazing and gifted us two glasses of champagne for our four year anniversary. This is a special place to us because it’s where we first met on our first date. Thank you Hourly!
Lovely last minute lunch for our 46th anniversary. Limited outside dark seating lead us inside to the spacious airy, bright restaurant with booth seating, bar seating and oyster bar seating. Staff is enthusiastic and helpful but not hovering. Oyster presentation was spot on. Fried foods were crisp and not oily. Several uncooked based delicacies were offered. Strongly recommend.
