   Went to the hope for hubby's birthday lunch hubby had mussels to start loved them, his mains he had the sea bass he would recommend that as well I had the chicken tempura and the home made burger both of which I would recommend had a few drinks during and after meal reasonable priced good friendly atmosphere. Staff members were friendly and helpful would definitely recommend the hope

   Had a good time pleasantly surprised great place for a catch up, food good, staff friendly and casual relaxed atmosphere.

   Really good food and friendly staff. We were however disappointed in the service and seating. We arrived at 12pm, received our mains 45 minutes later (ok, there were 7 of us). No-one came to clear plates or offer dessert menus and as we were going to a show at the SSE Hydro we just asked for the bill and went. We would have ordered desserts. We did book our table with plenty of time for 2 courses. There didn't seem to be many staff working and it was packed with diners. Our table and chairs was right beside a corner table and we were wedged in. To get out we had to all move out on one side to let the one at the top move out or ask the diners at the other table to get up and move. I would come back but I think more staff at busy times should be considered.

   The Hope has a lovely atmosphere, feels very welcoming when you walk in, staff were attentive without being pestering, food was delicious and good value.

   Have used the Hope for several lunches with work colleagues, and visitors, and have received great foot and excellent service each time. The menu kept everyone happy and the platters can be thoroughly recommended!

   Can't fault this place for beer, wine or cocktails. The staff are great, very friendly and efficient. The food is very good gastro pub, and excellent value. Tucked away in Hope street, can be very busy at peak times, but nice and relaxed at others. A regular if when I am in Glasgow

   We booked The Hope for a family get together, it's really close to Central Station therefore it was convenient for everyone to meet there for lunch! When I was looking in to booking something for us I checked the website and it said the pub was family friendly, perfect as we were bringing our wee boy! Disappointed however when we were ordering food to discover that there was no children's menu! The staff serving our table were very nice and although a bit slow in getting the food orders they were on hand to take our drinks orders right away! The food was nice, nothing to write home about but a good meal none the less! One waitress in particular was very helpful with our wee boy, regularly checking to see if she could get him a drink and asking if we wanted his food kept warm while he had a nap! The Hope is a family favourite of ours for its location, it's welcoming staff and a beautiful building too! We will definitely be back, if a children's menu was introduced it would be perfect! 👍

   Second time in a month here with a group of friends for dinner , great food , great place , all loved it and would all come back

   I had a fabulous lazy Sunday afternoon catch up with friends here recently and was very impressed. Staff were lovely. The food took almost an hour to come but this was not an issue under the circumstances. When it did come my sea bass with sautéed potatoes and chorizo was outstanding. I am planning to go back again soon with my other half.

    Good restaurant quality food. Seabass excellent. Will definitely eat here again.
