Austin was our waitress and she was great! Her menu knowledge was outstanding, perfect selections for beers, appetizers and entrees! The outdoor dining was perfectly spaced and comfortable. Thank you for a great evening.

Great service, amazing ambiance, and the food was awesome! They don’t have a full bar, but the wine and craft cocktails were delicious!

Everyone enjoyed each dish we ordered. Also Chad was an excellent server.

Nice atmosphere and good service but the food is overall very bland. The only thing that was outstanding was the New England clam chowder. I think they maybe just need to season their food.

Had a very nice meal. Lamb carbonara and the hangar steak were both very nice. Good crab cake and the Pear + Barrata salad was great. Service was good and we'll definitely be back!

This was our first visit to Hook and Plow since they built the expanded outdoor seating area. The ambiance was nice, with the tables spaced a comfortable distance apart (thanks). Our waitstaff was attentive and helpful navigating the menu and accommodating my food allergies. We were pleasantly surprised with the Kale & Quinoa salad to start (large enough to share), my wife ordered the hamburger, I ordered the hangar steak. She was happy with the hamburger, I thought the hangar steak was perfect at medium rare, and enjoyed the couscous and grilled veggies on the plate. Overall, a great dining experience.

So very disappointing as we've been fans and diners at H&P since 2014 when we moved to the South Bay. The new menu items are a disappointment as well as the removal of long standing favorites. Even our food server seemed less enthusiastic about new menu items and changes. H&P has been a family go-to, but sadly it has been disappointed our last few visits since August. This past weekend was par for the recent course. :(

Excellent service. Very nice. They need heat lamps now that we are in October. More options for vegetarians would be great. They need an additional steak option (fillet or ribeye) on the menu.

First time dining here. Really enjoyed the food, and happy to see them doing good business with their patio. However, this will be a nicer place to visit once Calif ends this idiotic outdoor only dining, because the interior looked very inviting.

Nice having the outdoor seating, hope we can keep it for a few more months!! Service was great , if I could give more than 5 stars I would. The food was a bit off this time, kind of a bummer. I had the Sea bass “off the hook”, way to much oil .

The waiter kept commenting on how the food was disappearing from my plate. He took away my plate before my companion was finished eating. He neglected to inform me that there would be an up charge for substituting vegetables and then apologized. Sitting outside next to the street subjected us to loud motorcycles. The food was good, but over salted.

The lamb risotto was fantastic! Open patio seating had plenty of space.

The overall experience was ok. Some of the items we ordered never came to the table. Service was pretty slow. Unfortunately, I did notice that a table that was seated after we were got their food and drink before us. That was disappointing. I was happy outdoor dining is available and felt pretty safe. Tables were clean and spaced out. Would’ve appreciated a bit better service but I do understand Covid19 has thrown a wrench into the service industry.

The girl who answered the phone was great! Waitress was snarky and food was tasteless.

Excellent combination of a seafood (hook) and steak (plow) with innovative takes new preparations. We loved their panko crusted avocado as an appetizer and their sauteed brussel sprouts were excellent as well. Their Lamb Risotto was great: succulent lamb slices with just a touch of pink and creamy risotto with the just the right consistency. Our table also had the Chilean Sea Bass which was fresh, flaky, and served with succulent sauce. Ambiance was Covid: built out onto the street but there was good spacing of diners and good adherence to public health recommendations.

Food was quite enjoyable. You can't go wrong with any slection. However, if you want a mixed drink, this is a beer and wine place.

A bit dark after sunset. Could use more lights to see menu and food. But overall it was a very nice evening out with great food.

Safe patio with everyone wearing masks and table six feet apart. Janae was our wonderful server friendly and giving us information on the menu. You must try the avocado appetizer. Fabulous. Huge sandwich. Glad we shared

Food is always amazing. We had the steak and fish and pork chops and everyone was wowed as usual. Only thing is they need to add some string light or bigger candles so we can see our food. Love the patio but please add light. :)

The outdoor dining area is lovely and feels very safe as a dining space during the pandemic times. Service was efficient and cheerful and all 5 of us enjoyed the evening.

I have been wanting to try H & P’a brunch and I wasn’t let down! Our server was extremely warm, friendly and went out of her way to answer our questions w/o making us feel that we’re putting her out. Wonderful Sunday brunch and we’re looking forward to go back soon. 🤗💕👍

Great food and drinks! Enjoyed the panko avocado, jalapeno cucumber vodka, and the burger. Service was great.

This was our first time and Hook & Plow. It was an overall great experience. I especially loved the cheeses featured on the cheese platter, and the clam chowder. My husband loved the pork chop.

One of my favorite restaurants in HB!! Always take visitors.
