I have visited the Holestone a few times previously and it was always very satisfactory. This time, however, the food was disappointing.
We weren't very hungry so just ordered tea/coffee and two scones. The tea and coffee were fine but the scones were not great. They were very small, dry and my fruit scone had only one sultana.
Not even remotely as good as my previous brioche with berries.

On another note the server did an excellent job, on her own, waiting all the tables.

Superb customer service and food. Social distancing measures meant we had no worries.
Its like going to a dinner party at a good friends house.
Chloe, Jonny and the team are fantastic and do everything possible to make the dining experience memorable.

Nice restaurant with a good menu. Recommend the rack of lamb and the sticky toffee pudding. The only complaint is the chairs as the backs are uncomfortable, but as you mainly lean forward when eating its only a small issue.

The Holestone is a beautiful venue - perfect for any occasion.
We chose from the Sunday carvery menu - 2 courses for £20.
The quality of the food and presentation was wonderful. Flavoursome and plentiful - great value for money.
There is no doubt that a return visit is on the cards!

Visited on a Sunday with my family. Food was absolutely outstanding. Absolutely no fault at all. Service was good although a bit slow at times. An extra staff member would have sorted this. Restaurant was quite quiet, perhaps some background music would help. Overall value for money couldn’t be faulted. We will definitely be back.

We received a call asking us to arrive earlier than our booking as they were going to close early. Not the best start before we’d even arrived. It’s a nice restaurant, however there was a bit of rowdy noise from the bar next door unfortunately. The food was ok. Slow cooked beef wasn’t as tender as I would’ve hoped and I’m not sure I’ve seen a Yorkshire pudding served with Salmon before - we were a bit disappointed overall.

THE FOOD IS GOOD BUT WHAT SPOILS THE HOLESTONE FOR US, IS THE NOISE.
BY THE TIME YOU HAVE FINISHED EATING YOU JUST WANT TO GET UP AND GO
NO LINGERING, WHICH IS DISAPPOINTING.

Food was good and just worth half price but definitely would not pay full price for the meals. The service was diabolical. The card machine was broke and we were asked to go to a local shop and lift cash . Altogether a very disappointing experience.

Excellent service and good choice of menu. Meal was excellent and well presented. Background music is appreciated, adds calmness to the surroundings. Bottled tap water (free) bought to table immediately without the need to ask. Very welcomed. Staff friendly and approachable. Social distancing and cleansing in force. Would recommend a visit.

Great choice on menu. Food was really well presented and each course tasted delicious.
Staff very very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Only negative was our table- it was situated between serving hatch & door through to the bar which resulted in constant traffic from the staff close to our table.

Quite a noisy location, food and service fantastic however!! We had the fish pie, my only criticism is that it needed served with a bigger portion of mashed potato!

Service - despite getting a lot busier while we were there - was absolutely brilliant. Our server was super friendly and just lovely. I'm from glengormley, and didn't even know this wee gem existed! Really lovely and clean looking, and the grub was phenomenal! Definitely my new favourite place to go to: 5 stars all round and CANNOT WAIT to return....can't stop thinking about those BBQ ribs! 😍😍😍
