We were sat inside and it's probably because it was at a very low capacity that the atmosphere was a little down. The food is fine, it's a Carmel landmark and I guess you have to try is once, but unless you are sitting on the patio I think you lose the atmosphere you came for. Ther service was excellent, they have a friendly and professional staff.
The food is not terrible, but not the greatest eithe, for the price you are paying; however, the staff was very attentive and polite. The outdoor seating was heated and very pretty. Although I have had better steak at a Sizzler, I do not regret spending the money to eat there.
Little did I know that this place employs people that are snob and rude. My bday celebration was almost ruined because of this place
Food was amazing. Had the chicken fettuccine right amount of ingredients!!!
Bad food. Dirty floor.
We love HB on San Carlos... we brought our 4 dachs dogs, ate dinner in the patio, fun atmosphere- asked to be placed in a corner as doxies aren't the most behaved dogs, but they loved it, very comfortable... My kids had fun, loved their meal and had a fun dessert... Excellent margaritas!! You'll love it there, we always enjoy the Eastwood photos!! We'll be back Hogs Breath! Thank you for your Wonderful Service!!
Disappointed- been coming for years. The place seems less cool factor and more tv/colored lights tacky. Had chicken piccata- rice wasn’t fresh made...sauce egh. My friend fish and chips were soggy. Oh well...goodbye Hogs breath😢
Great experience overall. The service was prompt and the Seafood dishes were delicious.
Great location, Great service and Great food! We will return!
Nice place , good drinks, and good service. I ordered the Chicken fettuccine, and I didn't like it at all. Had a weird cinnamon taste, very bland. Not worth the price. Sidewinder fries were good
We had a lovely dinner. The courtyard is wonderful. The food was quite good, but not what I consider “fine dining”. Typical pub fare, but done well. Great fir a casual evening out.
Great for the family including our dog. Very relaxing. Great music. Food was delicious!
We hadn't been to the Hogs Breath Inn in several years, but I have to say our dinner dinning experience was just as excellent as the last time we ate there. My husband had the Braised Short Ribs and I had the Sand Dabs. WOW! Fireplaces were glowing, it was a birthday dinner and I will always remember.
Our waiter was excellent. The food was great. We are planning to check out the one in La Quinta in December when we travel there.
Great food, amazing cocktails, and our server Jacob was genuinely hospitable and hardworking! Couldn't ask for more!
Absolutely love this place, ambiance was chill, and customer service was excellent! I highly recommend you visit.
Very kind to our dog. Nice to sit by the fireplace.
Good food good service
Outside seating area is great, food was average, a. It mediocre. My husband had the ribs & I had beef stroganoff. We ordered an iceberg wedge and it barely had any bacon or tomatoes & was very small.
This place was great. I don't have any complaints at all.
Glad we chose to try this restaurant. A "fun" entrance off the main street into an open courtyard with tables, fireplaces and heaters. We were seated immediately and attended to by Sergio. The wedge salad was very good and glad we split it. The steak was outstanding and cooked to perfection. The potatoes were delicious. The pork chop was good. The bread was warm out of the oven when it was brought to our table. The cheesecake was the perfect finish. We brought our own wine and there was a reasonable corkage fee. Sergio was fantastic as a server. Very attentive without hovering and a great personality. Street parking was easily available.
This is such a great spot for couples or families in the heart of Carmel by the Sea. They have a great kids menu, and lots of options for all to enjoy. Eat outside by one of their five outdoor fireplaces and make sure to get the chocolate torte for dessert!
I have been there many times in the past. It was not the same maybe because of the covid thing.
We were sat in the Corredor without much ambience at all. They had heaters which was nice. But it was like dining in a doctors office hallway.
We had a wonderful dinner for four of us! Excellent drinks, attentive staff, good selection of dinner items to choose from.
Great place to eat! Will definitely be back. Food was great! Service was wonderful.
It was cold weather wise but enjoyable.
Delicious food and excellent service! Highly recommended
We chose this place again for their amazing carrot cake. We got a fireplace seat and it was a wonderful atmosphere. Quick service. Great food. Hands down, will be back again.
Everything was great... Food was amazing.. I will be coming back.
All was just Ok and not as good as the past experiences. There are so many places in. Carmel and sadly this one despite its charming setting is falling away from the standard. We will go elsewhere now. Food was Ok, portions a little small, prices are not justified as they are the same as better places. I guess tourists will keep this place alive. Sad we enjoyed it in the past.
The 1st time we have traveled since the Pandemic, so we decided to go to Carmel. It was the beat meal we have had in Carmel. The food was outstanding. The staff was very good and very attentive!
Someone totally dropped the ball. We got there about 10 minutes before our reservation only to have the staff tell us they were closed.
If you love Denny's, you will love this place! Nothing special: although the patio is very nice with all the fireplaces. Too bad the bar/food/service is just meh.
It was amazing enough for dinner that we went back for lunch the next day. Loved all of it
Quaint, quiet, delicious! The outdoor seating area look like a movie set. Definitely an A+
Amazing service, very COVID safe, and delicious food!
Loved getting back to dinner at Hog's Breath. Their are many out door heating sources and it had busy vibe. Food was delicious. Service was slow to start but it came around.
This is not a review of Hogs Breath, but a review of Open Table.
I came into Carmel Ca for my girlfriends birthday. Wanted to give her a special weekend and wanted to have a nice dinner at a decent restaurant. I was directed to Open Table where they reserved a table for us at 6:00 pm on a Friday night. We got to the restaurant at 5:45 and walked up to see a sign stating that Hogs Breath is closed due to Covid. Come to find out that all restaurants in Carmel were shut down and some had take out service only. I think that an application like Open Table would be up to date on any restaurant being available to make a reservation with. They also took my credit card number in top of it and I am holding my breathe to see some weird charge on my card for not being able to keep my reservations since restaurant was closed.
We had a great weekend in spite of the crappy service from Open Table and I would encourage anyone to not use their bs services now or in the future!!
