This place has closed but still takes reservations on Open Table.
Don't book a reservation here. Unfortunately, while it was a good local place, Its closed permanently!
Took reservation and not even open.
This restaurant is permanently closed, it needs to be taken off of Opentable. We drove all the way there for a 7:15 reservation and it’s closed up.
The Hitch (Chantilly) is closed permanently. However, we were able to make a reservation on Open Table a few days before we planned to dine (The Hitch had already closed), and showed up to an empty/closed restaurant. Very disappointing! I gave good ratings otherwise, since we loved this place, and are sad it closed!
When we showed up for our reservation the restaurant was not open. No sign indicating an issue or other mention. In fact I’m incredibly disappointed that after relying on Open Table I was led so astray and we had to make other plans last minute.
We are very sad Tge Hitch in Chantilly is closing. We were there the final night it was open.
Perfect place for watching a game; really healthy menu; perfect service; nothing in the area comes close to this place for being everything to everyone.
There was some mix-up in the kitchen on one of our orders; dish had to be prepared again. That increased the wait time significantly; caused us to be late for our Advent performance two blocks away. The manager was cordial and apologized for mix-up and gave us the meal gratuitous. We will give The Hitch another chance for his staff--and the cook--to get it right, as the food was just so-so the night we were there. Love the location--so close to our 3,000+ member church.
We had a mixed experience at dinner. Our food was excellent, but we had to wait quite a while for it because they were short on staff.
enjoyed time with friends and family. the food was terrific and the server was outstanding
Great food and service. Chicken was a little under seasoned for my taste.
nice neighborhood restaurant, very good service, terrific singer
the brunch is awesome. best brunch in the area.
the service was amazing and i cant wait to go back. bringing more people for brunch next time.
Lots of potential, but none realized. We asked for water, bread, and salt and pepper. Finally got salt and pepper. Food was under seasoned, not as hot as I would like The tables are so close that the server can only fit on one side, so they have to pass in front of one guest to serve the other.
Best part was the Strawberry Vanilla cake. If I ever return I’ll skip the rest and have the cake as my entree
Service issues. 2 of the 6 orders were sent out incorrectly.
We've been twice this month and The Hitch is my new "favorite" restaurant!
This was a completely disappointing experience. We ordered 4 drinks and 2 appetizers. Two drinks come reasonably quick. Then one appetizer. 20 minutes the other two drinks arrived and 20 minutes after that the other appetizer arrived. We thought they had forgotten us. Our dinners were okay at best. The restaurant was deserted on a Saturday night. It felt creepy
This is my new favorite restaurant! The food was delicious, and the waiter was attentive without being a nuisance. I'd love to have the opportunity to try EVERYTHING on their menu!
Great food, great service, great spot. We love The Hitch!
Service was shaky, the waiter and hostess couldn't answer a few simple questions. The food was good, for the most part. One steak ordered medium was more on the medium well side instead of medium. The slider trio came, mayo was requested but took 15 minutes to arrive. By that time the sliders were cold and so very dry. The apple cobbler ordered for dessert took exceptionally long to arrive, we had to ask about it after 20 minutes and still took another 10 to arrive. On the good note, the female manager (didn't get her name) was very professional and comped the sliders and the apple cobbler and was very apologetic. One mediocre visit doesn't compromise the fact that we have had several wonderful services and meals at The Hitch.
they seated us in the large area that was extraordinarily cold. complained with another couple and the manager raised the temp to stop the cold air flow. evidently their is an hvac issue as once they did condensation occurs and floors were slick as soon as we finished eating they lowered the temp. made the whole experience a waste considering the price points there
Went for Sunday Brunch at 12.30 pm. They were completely out of oysters and shrimps were cooked shrimp, not peel and eat shrimp. At 1 pm, they were out of cookies and dessert. The Brunch was supposed to be until 2 pm. Service was slow and not attentive to the buffet table. Many customers and I had to ask for basic thing, like whip cream, plates, syrup.
Mentioned to our server and she said " You should've come sooner" like it was our fault.
The food was good. Fried chicken and waffle is very tasty.
We went on a Sunday evening at 6pm and the place was empty, maybe 3 or 4 other tables. The menu is large, has something for everyone. The drink menu is also good. Everyone thought that their food was pretty good. The service was extremely slow and our server was inexperienced, totally untrained for serving a table.
My wife, her cousin & husband and I had an early supper at The Hitch. We had the place pretty much to ourselves, so it was probably quieter than it would be later. Our food was very good. My wife's pork chops w/apples was "the best she ever had." My scallops came with risotto, which nicely balanced the richness of the scallops. The cousin had the strip steak, and was quite pleased with it. Her husband had the mussels appetizer as a main course. There were a lot of mussels. The flavoring was not what we expected, but still tasty. I was especially pleased to find a 2011 Thracian Valley Cabernet Franc. It was delicious. So rare to find any Bulgarian wine, any Cab Franc or a 2011 served at an affordable restaurant.
Our server was vivacious and attentive.
I was very excited to go because I had heard from friends that there was live music and the food was great. I went with two girlfriends. The crab dip was super spicy and served on a little crab dish that kept tipping over. Difficult to get it out. Two of us ordered the seafood salad. We were shocked as this $21 salad was largely lettuce with two shrimp, four scallops and very little crab. It was not a $21 salad. Our drinks were good and service was nice. Live music was loud, but we knew that was part of the deal.
We celebrated our 37th wedding anniversary here and were very pleased! Four or five people wished us happy anniversary and they gave us a free dessert. Two different managers congratulated us and checked on our service which was excellent. It was personal, not overbearing and very helpful. They let us take our time when we told them we were not in a hurry and didn’t bring the entrees out til we were ready. The corn crab chowder was great, the chive butter was amazing. The mussels were quite small and somwhat stringy. The moab with short rib was good, although it was better with extra butter and sourcream. My husband absolutely lllloved the ahi tuna mignon and would definitely get it again. The tiramisu was wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing our special day with us!
I got the Tuna Mignon, it was not fresh. Even the beets and potatoes were not tasty. I had clients at the table and I could not “send it back” or I would’ve made a bad impression. I suffered thru that Old fish. Yuck. Sorry to report this.
The food was excellent and there were many dishes to choose from. The service was great. We made reservations even though it wasn't necessary; the restaurant was nearly empty at dinnertime on Sunday.
Poor service initially, got better when we got a new server. French fries were the best part of the meal. Ordered the salmon in kale, it was burned and inedible. Brought me a new piece of salmon, but it was very salty.
Don’t go for the food, hopefully the evening entertainment is better.
We sat in the bar and only had apps but they were great and the bartenders were very attentive.
Went here for the Father’s Day brunch and left knowing we would not return. They appeared to be under staffed because many empty tables were dirty & not bussed. The buffet was lackluster - they didn’t seem to be able to keep the more popular foods replenished. There were several empty spaces on the buffet where I assume food used to be. The food that was available was barely warm & underwhelming (penne pasta w/ marinara and cut up chicken tenders). They were supposed to have peel & eat shrimp but we were informed they ran out. Mind you our reservation was for 12:30pm and their brunch began at 10:00am. Overall this place seemed to be in disarray and not at all prepared for people showing up to eat at their restaurant. This was such as disappointing experience for Father's Day. I will say our waiter was wonderful!! He was a very pleasant and attentive young man but he alone couldn't make up all the shortcomings of this place.
Had a few hiccups at brunch - out of food - cold steam tables - waitress was great and manager could not have been worker harder or been more pleasant
We went for Sunday brunch. It’s a buffet with no a la cart menu items. The food was good, but not good enough to back for the brunch though. I would try lunch/dinner if in the area.
Father's Day Brunch was great! The waffles were cooked just right, the chicken breading was delicious, but some pieces were a little undercooked. The sausage gravy and biscuits were scrumptious, and the service was timely.
The bacon could've been cooked longer and I would suggest keeping the food warm in the kitchen before bringing it out and placing it above the burners.
Overall, I like this place.
Awesome bar. Great beer selections Delicious food. Super waitstaff
Decor is cute, large bar area. House salad and Caprese balls were good. I loved the Short Rib Mother of all Baked Potatoes. Tasty and not a huge meal after sharing appetizers. Waitress was kind to my hangry daughter. Would definitely go back. The location doesn't seem great though. easy to get to but it was pretty empty for a Saturday evening. Hope they're a big success as this area could use more restaurants like The Hitch!
Great food, music and staff.
Thank you Elaina!
Bravenoise ...awesome music.
I found Hitch on Open table. The experience was kicked of by Sanjay who gave us a warm welcome. The rest is the Staff was equally engaging without being a bother. It was like being in their house. The food was really good and the presentation was mouth watering. Can’t wait to go back again!
Ive been going to Savannah for some time and this was my first visit to Hitch - I wish I had found it sooner
