The Hind's Head is a traditional country village pub and restaurant serving freshly made food and quality local cask ales. We are a community owned and managed free house in a very picturesque Shropshire village. We have the more traditional areas of the pub with wood burning stoves, as well as a lovely restaurant and welcoming orangery for all our guests to enjoy food, drinks and good company. We offer two wine lists as well as a great selection of cask ales, lagers and ciders. The views from the front of the pub have a perfect picture post card view of St Chad's Church in the centre of the village. While we offer traditional pub classics like freshly made pies and fish and chips, we also regularly offer specials that our chefs create weekly and do a lovely Sunday roast dinner that is extremely popular.
On Wednesday evenings we do different foods and events, please call to confirm the theme to ensure it's what your looking for it could be Tapas, Italian, a quiz night.

    When you go to the Hinds Head (and you should) if they offer the stalker pie on the menu…get it! Don’t share it with anyone. It is too good to share. You will want every bite for yourself. Every time I eat at the pub, I find something new and delicious. The stalker pie is lovely. The venison is fork tender and flavorful, the vegetables are delicious, the gravy is rich and the buttery mash on top with parsnip chips on top are perfect. I have had wonderful meals here but this may be my favorite. The sticky toffee pudding to finish off the meal was perfect, enough to share but you will probably want the whole thing yourself. The pub is immaculately clean. Service is quick and friendly. The food flavor and quality would bring me back but the staff and ambience make me love coming back. It is a wonderful place.

    Huge leap in quality food since new head chef Tod joined. Really recommend, good value food, drinks & quality wine list at good prices. Great ambience with excellent service

    Beautiful pub in Beautiful surroundings. Everywhere was clean and tidy. The staff were very professional but friendly. The food was delicious and a excellent choice. I had the duck with a rossti which I found a little to salty for my taste, but other wise excellent.

    Having lived only 2 miles away from the Hinds Head for over 5 years it was a VERY pleasant surprise to finally visit for Sunday lunch! We couldn’t have been more impressed with every aspect of our visit and the food, service and general atmosphere. We will DEFINITELY be visiting again on a regular basis. Thanks to all who made us welcome and filled our bellies with your delightful fare!

    Always a delight to eat at The Hinds Head. Quality and presentation of their food is superb. 6 of us went their on Saturday and our 4 friends were very impressed. Staff are absolutely amazing - see you very soon x
