The Hill Pub is Dublin's newest Gastro Bar. Situated on leafy Mountpleasant Square, this is a great place to come to enjoy high quality bar food in a convivial environment. Try our take on classics like Spicy Chicken Wings or Irish Cod and Chips to more refined Meditteranean style dishes like Tomato Risotto with Goat's Cheese on Bon Bon.

For drinks we have a fine selction of Irish and international craft beers. If you are a gin lover then here is the place for you, we have one of the best gin selections in the city and were hosts of the inaugural Ranelagh Gin Fest. Sit back and relax and enjoy a nice G&T before dinner.

I booked the restaurant on open table. Got a confirmation from open table. Went to the restaurant but it was closed. Shuttered. No signs indicated that the closure might be temporary. You know, like “closed for August” or “closed for renovations”. Just closed.

Hadn’t paid their skybox so no tv was working for champions league final. Had no place saved for us and lady behind the bar was incredibly rude. Such a shame as could be a great bar

Excellent music choices and at a good volume as well, easy to chat with friends without shouting. Got busy but not step on toes have to miserably stand around kind of busy. Very polite staff, good service. Definitely would go again. We didn't eat so I can't comment on that

The menu posted on open table is NOT what is presented at the restaurant. We had “bar food”. The menu they have on open table suggests lovely restaurant dining. But with that...our waitress was very sweet and attentive. Its just we felt a “bait and switch “

Seems to be visited by locals mostly. Great beer selection. A small menu but that‘s mostly an indicator for good food. And this was great food in a generous portion. Service was friendly and caring. Food took a bit long which is the only thing to renark

Last Friday I went with my husband and some friends to celebrate my birthday in there. Everybody asked for drinks and something to eat and we all got more than satisfied with the meal (tasted burgers, amazing fries, delicious chicken wings and nice drinks). But If the food is great, even better it is the service. Our waiter was fantastic, tottally professional but also a good joker, he gave us such a nice fun, no mistakes and amusing experience. When we asked for dessert the restaurant didn´t have anymore but they allowed us to buy a cake to blow the candles. So kind! We´ll come back for sure, I wanna try the apple cake and my husband got curious about the brownie. I hope see you soon! Mariló Giménez.

We shared chicken wings as a starter, and both had burgers as main. The wings were very good; the hot sauce was not overpowering, and the portion was generous. My burger was cooked to perfection, and the fries were very good. The great selection of craft beer to accompany the meal, and the prices were very reasonable
