The Highwayman Pub is a Cornish village pub with a proud history offering hospitality at the heart of the Dobwalls Community.

Serving cask marque approved ales, as well as a selection of draft ciders and lagers, we also offer delicious food sourcing the finest local ingredients with a frequently changing specials board.

Tired carvery, indifferent staff. Booked on Web site for 7pm. Contacted later to be told kitchen shuts at 5pm so rebooked for 430pm, wish we hadn't!

I went here for my 63rd birthday with the misses, kids and grandkids. I went on Sunday for the good old carvery and as usual it was superb. We have only been there 4 or 5 times but the service and food is always excellent and the gravy, well, it’s another food group in its self. I didn’t get our servers name but she was a star. Well recommend place to go. Thank you. Steve

Portions appeared to be smaller than they used to be from previous owners, but food was very good and enjoyable, Waitress and bar staff was very pleasant and helpful,

The Highwayman in Dobwalls had just been refurbed on the outside. Interior pretty average although there is history. only one bar staff on and was finding it difficult to deal with more than one customer. Service was very slow but I must admit the food was fantastic and large portions. Could do with a bit of a revamp inside.

A very good quality Restaurant in Dobwalls and the menu is very good with gluten free and vegterrian options available and very good value for money

We had 4 carveries, none were edible, all the veg had been left to go dry, the roast potatoes were so dried out they had no potato in them! The only meat left was gammon, which was so salty, you couldn't eat it, was very disappointing, as the last carvery we had there was excellent, so took family, we refused to pay as none of us could eat the appalling offering
