Located in the heart of Lymington, The Highstreet Kitchen offers a relaxed dining experience focusing primarily on local sustainable food, working with dedicated local farmers and producers. The restaurant has been a dream for Gavin Barnes for over a decade and it has now become a shared vision for the whole team.

We proudly serve lunch and Dinner.

Whilst in holiday in the area, I booked a table for my wife’s birthday, having read reviews for High Street Kitchen. We were greeted by Maddy, who sat us at a very nice table and was attentive in the right measure. We both chose the Sirloin steak and had cauliflower cheese as an extra dish. Our meals were served by the chef and Maddie, which was a lovely touch as diners don’t usually get the opportunity to meet the chef. The steaks were cooked to perfection and so full of flavour. As we couldn’t decide which dessert to have, chef suggested a selection, which was too good an opportunity to turn down. Yet again, everything was perfect and served by the younger chef. All in all we had a wonderful and memorable night and hats off to Gavin, Adam and Maddie. I just wish we lived nearer!

Fabulous Sunday lunch, full of flavour and plenty of it, it has to be the best for plenty of miles around. Great service by Chef/Owner Gavin and his team, delicious.

Would highly recommend High Street Kitchen, food was excellent utilising local produce. Staff were attentive without being obtrusive.

Fabulous starters but we struggled to choose a main as a bit limited for us. Decided on fish and chips which were fine.
