I wrote another review for the Herkimer Pub and Brewery. Eating there was a great experience - their Reuben sandwiches were great (my wife and I actually agreed on this, contrary to other things :>) ). They are also a microbrewery and the beer was great, also! Would highly recommend this place for a casual evening out - it appears to be an hidden gem on Lyndale Avenue (shhh - don't tell anyone!).
The nachos with cheese curds...amazing. Great time with friends.
A nice little spot, some parking. Good food and beer, nice atmosphere. I went when there was not a football game, so it might be louder then.
Our table had the pub pretzels (very good), mac and cheese, tomato basil soup, fig/goat cheese salad and biscuits and gravy. All delicious and WAY more food than we could eat for a great price. Gose and alt beers were very good too. Parked down a block so good to walk it off!
It was my first time there and won't be my last. Great food and drinks. Good choice for lunch.
It was wonderful. The staff is friendly and attentive. The beer is VERY INTERESTING and fun to sample! The food was even better than anticipated. GREAT experience.
Great place to have food and drinks. Really enjoyed the outdoor area with bean bag games!
The food was pretty good, as were the drinks. We made a reservation for 9:15 and the place was not that busy. Unfortunately, service was very slow. Nit sure I’d make it back. It took a long time to get out after we were done.
Tony, the server, waiter was great, friendly and updated us with food , etc.
Of course the lack of AC made the experience almost unbearable to enjoy our time.
The one waiter who yelped loudly, scared all of us - something horrible happened ;
short, shaved or close cropped hair. Noise level was way to high. (We all wanted a
quiet table to talk and catch up with each other). Hope the AC was fixed.
Very noisy. Difficult to carry on a normal conversation.
The weekend brunch menu was DELISH! (as were the bloody's with the spiced coffee rim)
I saw a man sized fruit fly flying around- It kinda grossed me out. Service was OK but not the best Iv had! Wine was served in tiny glass and 7.00 a glass for mediocre wine 🤷♀️ I did a painting class and that was fun!
Atmosphere and beer were good. Service was great! My chicken tacos were a bit dry and the tortillas seemed a little stale, which is why I gave 4 stars for the food. Overall, would return!
Stop in before seeing show at Jungle theater. Service was fast, food was great. There was a good size crowd but it was not overly loud or feel crowded.
The Happy Hour was amazing and the food on theat menu was great! We had a very nice server.
Hop Passport stop.
Great start to a family visit.
Birthday dinner included free dessert
Great spot to watch sports and drink beer with a group. Good pub menu with beer brewed in house. Service is very good. Everyone I’ve met there is friendly. Certainly a fun spot.
Great service, awesome food. Music was a little loud but bearable. Only issue is parking is difficult as most streets only have 1 hour parking.
Great sports bar and casual dining get together. Comfort food with some traditional twists. Everyone can find something good to eat. Very friendly attentive staff.
Oktoberfest lager was excellent. Great place to relax and have fun with friends.
The food was very good. We had a group of 14 and everyone was satisfied. The grilled cheese fondue is about as comfort food as you can get (same goes for the mac&cheese and almost enough for two people). One warning...the fish tacos contain jalapenos (not listed on menu) and I would ask for the sauce on the side. You also don't want to get there right at noon if you have a big group. They open at noon and they didn't seem ready for us even with a reservation. Once things got going the bartender did a good job with our orders.
I will definitely go back!!
We came for Mother’s Day brunch and it was great! Food was tasty, great beer, sunny outdoor seating, and room for kids to run around in a closed in area. Staff was very accommodating to our mini patrons. Two thumbs up!!
At best, the food was ok. We were there on a Friday at 6:00 p.m. and it was so loud, you had to yell to talk to someone across from you. No reason to go back. If going just for drinks, it might be ok.
This place is LOUD so just be prepared. The food is great, but takes a very long time.
We were "app-hopping" on a Thursday evening, and I searched O.T. for a good place to go next after two previous stops at other local restaurants.
The bar wasn't very busy when we were there. But the staff was very nice and cheerful and allowed a few samples for us to find just the right wine/beer. The appetizers were delicious.
I definitely recommend this pub as a stop or a destination any time.
Excellent service, great beer and cocktails. A thoroughly enjoyable evening, although just a little loud for comfortable conversation
The pretzels are fantastic and so are the two sauces you get with them. The food and beer are fantastic as well. We went at 430 pm on a Thursday and it was not that busy which is great.
Great burger (the milkmaid), helpful server, nice place
Thanks for taking care of us and our small children - we met at your pub and come back every year to celebrate our meeting. Plus yummy food and beer and the Packers!
Menu has a lot of creative items. Has some interesting renditions on Mac and Cheese. There is a nice outside patio and they have lawn bags.
While on a recent trip to Minneapolis I came across The Herkimer Pub and Brewery. It seems to be in a pretty hip neighborhood. Plenty of great seating and a cool neighborhood vibe. The food and beers there were great. We were really happy we decided to go there.
Made my reservation via OpenTable and they didn't check me in/acknowledge. Food was average. Service was slow and when we we could flag him down, he was terse, rushed and unfriendly. He literally slapped our bill on the table as he raced by. No gluten-free add-ons like bread or buns to have a burger, etc. Overall, I wouldn't go back; there's better options in the area with pleasant service and broader menu choices.
Stopped before attending a show at the Jungle. Enjoyed the Happy Hour fish tacos and craft beer. Service was very good and we will be back.
Food was tasty and fast.
Very accommodating even when they didn't have to. They will forever have my business.
Our waiter was friendly but not attentive at all.. It was way too dark to see the menu. Had to ask for multiple refills, sat at the table with empty beers for a long time. Was taking plates away before we were done. It was my birthday and never even said anything as there was presents on the table. Music was fun though.
Food was great, beer was great, ambiance was chill, overall a great time
Food was great, but they need to have iced tea year round.
