Welcome to The Herbalist, a place where great food meets a great time and your new central social hub. We make no apologies for loving fresh and vibrant cuisine, so our chefs cook it in our open kitchen for all to see – a little bit of theatre to go with your dinner.

The open plan bar & dining room is no stranger to craft either, boasting a fine selection of keg and cask beers, tank beer delivered directly into the copper tank every week, a sumptuous wine list and boutique selection of spirits. Either popping in for a coffee or a slap up dinner, we will serve food from eight in the morning right through until eleven at night so whenever you feel like dropping by, you’ll find a warm welcome and extensive menu waiting for you. Have to get home? Drop by our Pizza Shack on Pudding Lane and pick up a piping hot pizza to take away, fresh from the wood-fire

Loved it. It was my first time here although I've been to tensure Potting Shed a few times. The staff at the Herbalist were fab anday the food amazing.

Must say we were disappointed with The Herblist . The service was ok. The chairs were really uncomfortable and hurt our legs. Was the same menu as The Potting Shed . I picked the same meal as The potting Shed but when delivered to the table I thought it was a mistake and they had given me a starter. Left very hungry . Hands up to The Potting Shed with their meals as was far bigger and much more satisfying . Won't be going again.

The restaurant was way too late, couldn’t even hear the waiters. The food was average and the service was not good. No one checked on us to see how our meal was, took way too long to get the attention of anyone to get a drink and we sat there with plates on our table for a good 20 minutes after finishing our food while the waiters avoided looking at us

The Service and food choice was first class, the room was warm and well presented, the manager came over and chatted. overall; this was a very good experiace and i would recommend to everyone and definately eat there myself again.

A great dining experience, will definitely be returning. Variety of menu choices, flavoursome food and first class service from friendly and knowledgeable staff who went the extra mile to make our evening enjoyable and memorable.

We visited The Herbalist as a party of 12 and were very impressed with the service, choice of food and value for money. The drinks and orders were taken quickly and efficiently and we all enjoyed a pleasant afternoon. I would highly recommend.

great lunch. all very good. better portion sizes was worried due to visiting Potting bShed and The Farm House...as never full when i leave there! Id prefer to travel to here even though local to Potting Shed
