The food was good and the scenery was nice however the waitress was slow and took forever to come back to us.
I would like to give a kudos to the hostess, as she was very helpful and accommodated our request of sitting outside since it was our first time there. It was for an anniversary dinner, so I wanted it to be perfect. From the second we sat down to when we left, it was an overall disappointment. For as much as we spent, you would think that the service would be much better.
Husband and l enjoyed a date night in the middle of the week, wanted to sit out doors and view the water and take a walk.
This location was perfect, we enjoyed the view, the ambience, the food and service.
Definitely worth it for the view and a quick bite. Id suggest asking for whatever you drink, "double" to make it worth the money.
We had an amazing time, the view and vibe was incredible … definitely coming back!
I planned this as a first stop for brunch on an all day birthday event in Toledo. Unfortunately the overall experience was poor from beginning to end. The menus they provided us were outdated with unavailable and differently described menu items. I ordered a wood fire pizza to share and never received a plate so I ate off of the pan. My boyfriend's poached egg was fully cooked on his meal. We had to listen to the manager and server apologize profusely to the table next to us for food mistakes. At the end we hadn't seen our server for a while so we decided against ordering another drink we had been waiting to get when we saw her again. I have been to Brim House and I LOVED it so I was excited for this experience but it really started off what was supposed to be a great day with a bad taste in our mouths. Definitely do not recommend.
Food was delivered to table one plate at a time and was not hot. One diner’s food finally came after everyone else was finished eating. Coffee lukewarm. Server seemed pretty disinterested. Had to get our own condiments. I’d recommend Heights to a friend but tell them to just go for the view and ambience and to expect poor service and mediocre food.
Slow, every thing from drinks to food took a while. Not sure if it’s related to staffing issues but it weekend experience. I feel for employees and we still tipped a high percentage.
Food was just ok especially for the price. I get the atmosphere is part of the experience but that doesn’t mean it’s ok to serve overcooked food or salad on a hot plate (not suppose to be) . Was very excited to go but won’t be going out of my way to go back soon. Kinda bummed I changed my mind on where to go.
The food and service were really good and the views were amazing. The prices are little high for the amount of food we were given. More menu choices would be nice to see.
I was told there was no seating on the patio after asking for an outside table then I seen one was open so I approached the host stand and they told me “sorry there’s a waiting list right now someone else wanted it” I told her I should’ve been put on the waiting list when I first inquired about the table. So she then denied me. I asked for a manager and she was quick to seat me. Without addressing the issue. I didn’t feel important & They made me feel like I was being a nuisance.
Its great for dates! Great view and its very clean.
Best View in Town, food and drinks very good, Great overall
The view is great. Our service was really good. The food came out quick and was tasty. We never felt rushed. It was much more casual than I expected. Parking was easy. I would like to go back again.
Food was mediocre at best. I realize it is more of a place for drinks/socializing; but we thought we'd try the food. Stick to cocktails. The cleanliness was subpar. The place needs a good cleaning. The view is what makes it worth the visit.
Slightly pricey but well executed meals. Our server was excellent! Very good drinks and cocktails. Great view of downtown and the river.
great food with an amazing view
Great views and great service. Drinks were great. We tried several things on the menu but liked the pizza the best!
Beautiful view; great bar; good food; lively atmosphere.
I've been to The Heights three times in the past month (my pick the first time and the choice of companions the second and third times), and each time the food has been excellent (and I've had something different each time), and the view of the city is incomparable. Nevertheless, I cannot highly recommend it because as good as the food was, the service and atmosphere was just as lousy. On all three occasions, we were surrounded by messy tables that went un-bussed for 15-30 minutes, despite the fact that the restaurant was not full and there was waitstaff standing around and/or socializing. Sitting outside-or in-among dirty dishes and leftover food at neighboring tables is not what one expects from a fine restaurant.
Moreover, each time we were seated at a table that could have used a good wipe and was devoid of rolled silverware or anything to suggest that the table had been properly cleaned and prepared for the next guests. This in combination with lackluster service (the table was not cleared in a timely manner, we waited longer than we should for the check, etc.), does not inspire me to rush back anytime soon nor to recommend it to others. Hopefully the management will light a fire under the waitstaff in order to make the quality of the experience of The Heights match the quality of the food.
Very hot in the restaurant, wobbly table, asked to move tables, waitress said, let me see and then never came back til we already had food. So loud we struggled to have a conversation between 2 people. Don't mind paying premium prices for good food, this was not good food though.
Drinks and dinner were good, pretty busy for a Wednesday night.
Was a wonderful time atmosphere was great the view was terrific our waitress was outstanding and we are already planning to come back again.
Great service from Bree. We will be back again. :)
Very rude receptionist but the server was excellent.
Awesome dining experience on a beautiful summer evening. Waitress was excellent
Sad that they can’t make a venue like this with an amazing view worth visiting.
Great atmosphere, our waitress was wonderful. The food was pretty good. I got the Ranchero huavo pizza, the eggs were real raw. I don't mind a bit runny, but the whites were still mostly clear. I was pretty disappointed with that. Everyone else's food was really good. No problems.
Great place one of my favorites! With awesome views
Overall the experience was ok. For a Thursday night, the music from the DJ was way too loud, especially if you are sitting in the waiting area. Even at our table on the opposite side, it was hard to hear people at our table. The food was ok. The furniture could use a little sprucing up. The view of Toledo was very nice.
I was back in the area for a quick trip to see family and couldn’t wait to try this place out. The view was amazing! The service and the food were terrible. Our food arrived at our table cold and overcooked. I took one of the coffee rubbed pot roast and sent it back. It was terrible. I sent it back and didn’t replace it with another meal. Never saw a manager and no one really acknowledged the fact I sent it back. I would hate to see a place like this fail because of the staff but people won’t give this place another chance if they don’t focus on sending out a quality product and have better service.
There were so many free unreserved tables on the sunny part of the terrace and no one would sit us there
Instead we spent 2 hours in the shadow on the terrace freezing
Very loud, had two tables of 8. Both tables waited almost an hour for their food. One table got their food and were done even before the other tables food arrived. Very very loud.
i made a reservation a week ahead of time and requested an outside table and we were unable to sit outside for our reservation.
My only comment is in reference to the fact that the confirming email states dress is smart casual. Everyone in my party made it a point to meet those guidelines only to be greeted by people in blue jean cutoffs and other stages of dress that did not come close to what smart casual means. Smart casual specifically states no tennis shoes and I saw so many people wearing tennis shoes it wasn't even funny. I believe this is very misleading and should be dropped completely if you are not going to enforce a policy you are promoting.
The view from The Heights is spectacular and that is why we originally went there. The food was good. We ordered 2 different types of pizzas. The P2H2 pizza was delicious. We also had the cauliflower and sliders which were good too. The server we had was not familiar with the menu items which was a little disappointing. The wine selection was good but a little overpriced. Some of the seating in the outdoor area was was ripped and made the restaurant look run down and old. Overall a good experience and we would go back.
Loved the environment! Great view of the city of Toledo! Food was delicious loved the banana nut French toast and Nashville breakfast
Great food, great service, great drinks, and great environment!
Easy to book, service was friendly and efficient, food was delicious. Will definitely be back
Nice place but expensive. We were there on a Wednesday night for my daughters 21st birthday and was disappointed they didn’t give a free drink or even a small token for her birthday would have gone a long ways to making me want to come back...
It was just what we needed for catching up with friends.
