Everyone was very good however the speed of service was slow Whether staff had not turned in or they had not catered for the volume but a two course meal should not take virtually 2 hours

Father’s day. Potatoes burnt; Etonian mess has no blueberries. Disappointing as atmosphere was good and service also good.

Lovely dog friendly pub restaurant. Extremely warm welcome from the happy team. This is a well managed establishment and is a credit to Vintage Inns.

Me and my girlfriend love a good Sunday lunch. We live in Sutton Coldfield but travel out most Sundays to find a good place for sunday lunch with our pug Pablo, we have been to the hedgehog before for evening meals but never for a sunday lunch. We were really well looked after by all the staff and Pablo had loads of attention from staff and other customers we felt really welcomed especially with Pablo. The food and service was great, 10/10 for sunday lunch we will definitely be returning.

The food was excellent. The staff were very considerate and polite and nothing was too much trouble. The food service was slow. We waited ages for puddings - there seemed to be no kitchen staff or certainly a shortage. Shame really as it ruined a lovely meal.

We came last saturday, meal was terrible, salad consisted of iceburg lettuce a few parmesan cheese shavings and anchovies!!! Nothing else, this with a very dry piece of chicken, which was rock hard, costed £13, totally disgusted, we told the waitress but she shrugged her shoulders and walked off, not interested at all, will definately NOT be going again !!!! How can they call this salad,,when all there was was lettuce, rubbish rubbish rubbish!!!!!!!

The food was as usual very tasty and hot, and the raspberry milkshake cheesecake was lovely. Being close to Christmas is was very busy and noisy! However, the staff coped well, though we did wait probably longer than normal for food. The car park was in need of attention as there were large ruts and for people with low cars would be troublesome, so watch out in the dark.

Very tough venison, one of the Specials that day. Hard to cut even with a steak knife. Otherwise an adequate meal.
