Espresso martini was one of the best I have had! You cannot skip the maple/bourbon appetizer - outstanding and a good 6 slices, cut in half, so plenty for the table. Awesome!

Made reservations almost a month in advance for the rhythm brunch. We were initially seated on the lower level with one other diner. We inquired why we weren’t seated upstairs where the Jazz was playing. We were told we needed to include that in our reservations. We were accommodated (although there were many open tables upstairs ). The Bloody Mary cart was delicious and we would return just for that. We ordered the classic Benedict and somewhat disappointed in the quality and presentation for a place like HC Tavern. Nothing special and would not recommend. We also ordered the ribeye sandwich. This was presented nicely but would say that there was way more fat than steak. Still good. The music was good and we would definitely return for future Jazz brunches Ty was our server and she was amazing. She was attentive and friendly which made our dining quite pleasant

I made a reservation king ago specifically for a round table and downstairs. We were seated up stairs at a king table right by the kitchen access and bar for waiter. 3 meals came out wrong. My porchop was burnt. Steak Diane was well done guest ordered rare. Steak was held in kitchen as one of our guests had to take to call. Her steak was horrible xtra well done. We ordered dessert and the s’more was cold. We came to celebrate and eat together not eat in shifts. I surely didn’t want my 3 kids watch me then we watched Hope eat steak Diane, then we all watched the ribeye and left it as it was burnt on the bottom. We come to your restaurant often and this by far was the worst experience. Not sure we will be back . Kim Meagher 616.335.4288

Last night was was not my first visit. My husband and I love HC Tavern and often invite friends to dine there with us, especially if they haven't experienced it. The food, service and atmosphere has never disappointed us. Highly recommend!!!

The patio was a beautiful setting to celebrate my birthday. Food was excellent. My wife is largely vegetarian and enjoyed the cauliflower rice. One of her favorite cauliflower dishes ever! And we enjoyed getting to know our our server, Sandra, as well.

We visited to celebrate my girlfriends birthday. I was surprised at the ambiance of the dining area. The server was very friendly and social with the table. The food was okay, not sure it was worth the price. I feel like things could have been way worse though. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and will share with others.

We had a larger dinner party and were treated quite well by our server, Jessica, and an attentive team of additional servers. Everyone's meals came as expected (with a minor exception on a salad dressing choice mixup) and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their selection. The bourbon list is very impressive, one of the only places in town I have found the hard-to-find Heaven Hill 7 Year BIB, and there are several others on the list I knew I would like to try next time around. Great atmosphere and helpful staff and servers, our birthday dinner party was a success.

Entry and waiting area seemed very narrow. Maybe 6-8 people in area when we arrived made it feel very crowded. We were seater very quickly and hostess was very nice. Our server was very attentive. Answered my wife and daughter’s questions about menu. All of the food was very good.

Love this place. The Blistered Corn Bisque was thick and tasty. Our entrees were excellent Wife loved the rainbow trout and I the Steak Diane. The beets were outstanding as either the beet salad or the roasted beet side. The S'Mores Mousse Cake was delicious.

Soooo disappointing! This is my go to place when we come to visit my daughter. I love the lobstercargot. This last visit was sub par to previous visits: service was slow & food was even slower. Tables that arrived after us were served & finished before we received our food. When the food did arrive everything was overdone: burger bun had a nice black char; the wygu meatloaf was burned on the bottom and could not be cut let alone chewed. Spoke to manager and food was sent back only to wait again. I hope that this is not a start of a downslide for this restaurant! We will go back again to see if things improve since the past 15 visits were wonderful.

So I just wrote a review on Google. The wagu corn dogs have to go. Chewy and ordinary altho good portion size! But Taylor was amazing. She couldn't have done any better even tho she was busy. We were glad to have her apart of our birthday dinner we wouldn't have wanted anyone else! Ribs were impressive literally couldn't pic a bone up with out every ounce of meat falling off. Corn chowder and crab cakes absolutely authentic and amazing! Wish we had more goat cheese and vinaigrette on the beet salad. But the side of beats were awesome and there was plenty of goat cheese! Restaurant looks amazing so props to that! We will definitely with out a doubt be back. Btw way better than Harry and Izzy's and ST. Elmo's

Everything about our dining experience was wonderful. We were immediately welcomed and soon after met Fernando, our waiter, with Andrew assisting him. Fernando was very well versed on the dinner and drink menus which was helpful as it was our first visit. The food was delicious. Finally, as we were celebrating a birthday Fernando happily took photos for us and made sure that they turned out well. It was a fantastic and fun night out!

I would rate every experience at HC same. FANTASTIC!! Every single time they hit it out kf yhe park. Prompt and attentive. Very friendly snd courteous. Snd you can’t compare the food to anything I’ve found in the area. HC remains in my top 3 places for lunch or dinner. I enjoy taking friends who haven’t been there before. They’re always amazed.
