The Hawthorn is a Georgian gem in the heart of Haworth, packed full of period features offering a relaxed environment to unwind with friends and family. This warm and appealing gastropub has been renovated throughout to showcase an array of local antiques including a stunning array of Barraclough clocks, homage to John Barraclough himself, Clockmaker to the Brontes, who used to live in this very building in the Georgian era.

We serve only food made using the freshest seasonal British produce and our menu changes through the weeks to reflect this.

We have a custom-made Josper charcoal grill which is the hottest indoor grill available and used by the best restaurants in the country. Cooking on the Josper ensures none of the natural moisture or flavour escapes from the food, whilst at the same time adding the distinct chargrilled taste.

    Absolutely unbelievable. Best roast dinner I’ve ever tasted. We couldn’t fault anything. The dinner the establishment, the staff were all fantastic. We will definitely book again.

    Absolutely superb!! As I’m Gluten intolerant the staff were knowledgeable! That’s extremely rare! Thank you for training your staff well. Options were plentiful for me again very rare. The food was delicious. Anyone with allergies please don’t worry the Hawthorn is very accommodating. Thank you so much.

    The ambience is cosy and warm. The mains are lovely and the sides are excellent. Not often do we get excellent veg with mains, but this is where it happens.

    The Sunday roast was out of this world, it’s the second time we’ve been for a Sunday roast and we’ll be planning to come back again shortly

    We got a voucher for a wedding present to spend, we had never been here before. Absolutely gorgeous Sunday roast will definitely be returning.

    Love a Sunday roast at the Hawthorn but the veggie choice - or lack of it - really lets it down. There's now a massive choice of meats, though no poultry or fish. The only vegetarian option yesterday was miso cabbage which to me, is more of a side and doesn't contain enough protein to make it a main. Please offer a fish dish and a decent veggie option. Service was great as always.
