The Hawthorn is a Georgian gem in the heart of Haworth, packed full of period features offering a relaxed environment to unwind with friends and family. This warm and appealing gastropub has been renovated throughout to showcase an array of local antiques including a stunning array of Barraclough clocks, homage to John Barraclough himself, Clockmaker to the Brontes, who used to live in this very building in the Georgian era.

We serve only food made using the freshest seasonal British produce and our menu changes through the weeks to reflect this.

We have a custom-made Josper charcoal grill which is the hottest indoor grill available and used by the best restaurants in the country. Cooking on the Josper ensures none of the natural moisture or flavour escapes from the food, whilst at the same time adding the distinct chargrilled taste.

    The service was great. The food was fantastic. It was nice that all the food was in separate dishes so you could help yourself. It was worth the six month wait to get in.

    Excellent steak and sauce. Chips very nice and plenty of everything as portions were large. Really enjoyed the meal.

    Food was fabulous as always, the food service was great, but we ordered another drink to go with the meal once it arrived, we had to ask several times for the drink to arrive, the meal was practically finished when it finally arrived, full of apologies and we were told it would not be added to the bill, but it was, why say one thing but do the opposite? If we hadn’t been told it would be taken off we would have just accepted the apology but to state it wouldn’t be added on but then it was????

    Absolutely unbelievable. Best roast dinner I’ve ever tasted. We couldn’t fault anything. The dinner the establishment, the staff were all fantastic. We will definitely book again.
