   Love the place , been there a few times . But service is always "off". Runner delivers wrong food (another tables food)twice . Missing some menu items.... no specials.... got drink order wrong .(they apologized often but it was still unacceptable)..but I still like eating there surprisingly..great view, of slopes .

   The restaurant has beautiful interior space and is well appointed and you do feel like you are in a rustic mountain lodge. The service was ok, not great, but not terrible either. The food is ok and yet for the prices you feel like it should be superb. My salad was small and mediocre. Had the pork chop, very nice. Accompanied by veggies that were good too. Baked potato was brought and although it said on menu there was a choice of potato, no one asked me what I preferred or wanted and they just brought a a baked potato. Never asked if I wanted butter or sour cream for it...again at a high end, pricy restaurant you kind of expect it. Overall a great feeling restaurant but an average performing restaurant.

   Very expensive. Well staffed, but they didn't seem to get things right. My second drink order was the wrong one. One of our dinner meals came out much later than the other even after we asked a bus gal (waitress couldn't be found) about the meal, it took a long time to get. However, it is a beautiful restaurant with good (overpriced) food.

   Went this past weekend to the Hawk's Nest. I was not impressed. The service was poor. We waited 45 mins for our dinner. The menu is limited. The entree selection was poor. One choice for chicken( it was terrible), one choice for beef and no Fish on the menu. Do yourself a favor and take a ride down the road to the George Inn or Milano.

   Was staying at another resort and Hawk's Nest was recommended to us. Made a reservation in Open Table and was shuttled to the restaurant. Sat at the window overlooking the slope. View was awesome! Menu selections were pretty good for a resort and everything was well executed. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.

   The Hawk's Nest is a wonderful oasis from the craziness in the lodge, notably this past Saturday after the first real snow brought huge crowds to the mountain. The food is good, the service is great, the bartender is amazing, the ambiance with the cozy fireplace and view of the mountain are second to none. Lower marks for value reflect a breathtaking $18 price tag for a plate of pasta with marinara sauce, and up from there. It's the only game in town, though, and you are paying for the location and the view. This season, we tried both the ala carte menu on Saturdays and the Sunday brunch ($40 per person) and much prefer the former. We'll be back.

   I read the reviews that the service was not great so I expected it. We were sitting down for 10-15 min before anyone came over. We asked several people if there was a children's menu and they never came back. The waiter finally told us it was a verbal menu. When the food came it was cold. The waiter was apologetic and heated if up for us. When heated up it did taste very good. The bill was much more than we expected it to be. It definitely was not worth it.
