   Everything looks amazing on the menu.. We had the Rasta Pasta and added the Roti bread w/Curry Sauce.. It was so very delicious.. The Curry was AMAZING

   I definitely cannot recommend this restaurant, which is too bad bc we need good restaurants in Oxnard. My husband had to send his steak back bc it was so over cooked and tough. My Chilean sea bass looked more like dover sole, it was so thin. Also over cooked but the coconut sauce served with it was very good. They do not know how to make a cocktail to save their life and they put us in a private room (we were a party of 8) which was nice but there was no music in there so we played our on from our phones. At first our waiter seemed really put out having to serve us. But he actually stepped up and tried hard to please us.

   This place is a hidden Gem! We search for new places to dine with our Open Table App. We'll be going back often. We ordered the Caulifire and the Beef Empanada appetizers. AMAZING. Main dishes, creamy curry pasta and the pepperpot short ribs. Perfectly cooked, the added shrimp and lobster with the pasta dish was incredible. Large chunks of lobster and plenty of them. GreT to meet the Owner. Bobby came to our table to check in. Can't wait to go back. AND SUNDAY BRUNCHES coming soon.

   Last night was my first time going to The Haven, I made reservations at 5:15 because I like it nice and quiet. Well, lucky me, that's the way it was, the place was packed but everyone was very mellow and we (my friend and I) had a great time. Food was great, many vegan options, Rachelle was a sweetheart, service was superb. I will be coming more often. We didn't drink but the drinks look beautiful and delicious. We felt very welcomed and couldn't have asked for anything more than what we got. The had a very nice detail giving all the ladies a beautiful rose. Mine was the most beautiful! Great location!

    First time here and we had an enjoyable dinner. The food is excellent and I recommend the scallops and the pork stewers. The coconut shrimp appetizer is great. We plan to return soon.

    The drinks are very creative. I enjoyed the SeaBass in Curry Sauce and The Jerk Chicken or Shrimp are very good, as is the Black Bean Soup! Desserts are authentic Carribean. There are tables over the water, if you are lucky enough to get one, but only indoor seating. The value is incredible ! Each dinner comes with two sides, and the average cost of a dinner is $36! The only time I don’t like to go is on Friday and some Saturday nights, as the bands are too loud for a small place. You end up yelling to hear each other.

    Our waiter, Justin, was wonderful! Very attentive without being intrusive, and he gave us some excellent suggestions since we were new to the restaurant. We will definitely go back.

    Our usual first time MO is to order half the appetizers on the menu, a couple of drinks, and start the exploration. We had a great time, most were well prepared and wonderfully spiced. Blue champagne? Yep, and not a mistake to try. Kevin, sea bass entrees were very good, as well. Didn’t have enough room to try what looked like a very nice assortment of desserts, but there’s always next week, when we’ll surely return. A great find in an underserved neighborhood.

    The food and service are wonderful! The noise level is high for my comfort level; there is no baffling on the ceiling. We have only been mid-week when we have been told it is much quieter than on the weekend when they are packed and also have live music. We will stick to mid-week. :-)

    Came here for a birthday dinner. Super cute restaurant, dinner and drink were delicious. We also had the lumpias which we devoured. I was a big fan of the dessert, chocolate cake with ice cream.

    Started off rough. Began ordering, no we do not have for the the first two items we wanted and then the beer I wanted. The waitress was wonderful. I felt the appetizers were to much the same. The tacos and lumpia had the exact same ingredients. We also ordered the calamari which was good but served the same sauce as the lumpia. I felt $180 for happy hour was too much for 4 people. I remember not returning when it was the previous restaurant due to the noise. Well they have not cured the problem. When we went in there was only 3 tables and it was so loud. We like loud but not when you can not have a conversation with the person sitting at the same table. The noise is what got was to leave. I wish them well but the 4 of us will not be returning which is sad we live in the neighborhood.

    Was excited to try this new restaurant as we love Carribean Haven. After a long work week, we needed a nice dinner date. Great location by the water and decor was nice…loved the art work on the walls. Ambiance was also relaxing and enjoyable…at first. However there were many things that impacted our overall rating. 1. Took forever to get drinks and our food 2. The food was luke warm and tiny portions 3. Live music is usually a plus but this was EXTREME loud, way too loud for the tiny space. The performer was very talented but more suitable for a larger venue. I couldn’t even hear my BF even though he was literally sitting right in front of me. And since our food took forever, the only thing we could enjoy was really our conversation, but we couldn’t even do that. My ears needed a break half way into our dinner. The desserts were interesting…took a bite of the chocolate bourbon and was not a fan. Bourbon needed to be cooked out more. The cassava pie was tasty but super hard - is it suppose to be like that?!? Service was good though. The wait staff was friendly and apologized for the wait - not their fault! We couldn’t wait to get out of there…we felt fatigued after all of the “noise” which isn’t what a dinner date should feel like.

    I went in due to the effective social media advertising. I was pleasantly surprised. The service provided by Jasmine was excellent, friendly, professional, helpful, patient. The decor was on point. The happy hour prices weren't very inviting. Only a dollar or two off the regular prices and it was pretty limited. That being said, we loved everything we had. We ordered the BOWL of corn soup(very tiny... I would hate to see what a cup was!) Delicious. I had the coconut shrimp. Again, very good. We tried the Jamaican patty. Not bad. Could have been hotter and maybe a little more crisp. But the flavor was good. The lumpia on the other hand came out burning hot! They were excellent. And las but certainly not least, we tried the Ube cake for dessert. Coming from a NON Ube fan... It's a MUST TRY! So light and fluffy! And all the flavors melded so well! Can't wait to go back!!!

    Tried this new place since we live close by, excited to see a new restaurant in that space. Cocktails were good and interesting with a tropical flair. Food was well prepared and presented,though I expected more spice and seasoning based on reviews I had seen. I had the seared scallops and Jamaican rice, both good but could have had more seasoning. The asparagus was cooked and seasoned beautifully. There was only one server, and he was nice though seemed a little distracted. We will definitely go back, a nice dining option in our area. 😀

    Had braised short ribs and oxtail stew. Absolutely spectacular. Our server Bon was top notch. Finished with black Rum Cake for dessert. The band was loud and energetic, and by the time we were done everyone in the restaurant was on their feet dancing. If you are looking for a romantic evening with quiet conversation, pick a night when there is no band. If you want to eat, drink, dance, and party, go on a band night. Either way, you won't be disappointed.

    Everything my wife, my daughter, and I had was excellent. The ribs were a huge hit and the curry&roti was a surprise favorite. The drinks are better than anywhere else we’ve gone in Ventura county recently, and we’d come back for the drinks alone.

    The staff was friendly and accommodating, took good care of us. The bird cage glasses were something really special I’ve never seen anywhere else. The interior decoration is stunning and classy. Absolutely loved the colorful soft comfy chairs. Food is on the pricy side, but tasty and well prepared. I’d definitely come again for a special occasion, not a place for dining out every weekend unless you’re filthy rich of course ;)

    We were had to wait for someone to help us we had to keep asking the bus boy to get our waiter so we sold even order anything multiple times they do not check up on you after your food arrives hours later the food was horrific not one person at the table enjoyed their meal we won’t be going there or recommending this place to anyone

    I usually do not go to a restaurant that has only been open for 1 mo., & last night I was reminded why. Nice facility, way TOO noisy which was further exacerbated by a live band. Only choice for Jerk Chicken was dark meat. No Jerk corn in a bowl. No bread service w/meal. Only white rice & Mexican Rice were available.(?) Steamed vegetables were not warm enough to melt butter. Courteous, helpful & kind. Only 3 deserts available. . .No ice cream. :-( I "might" give it a 2nd try, but not on a night when there is music playing. WAY TO MUCH HARD SURFACES = EVERYTHING just resonates. One could not carry on a conversation w/o significantly raising one's voice. AC was way too much. On a scale of 1 - 10. . . 5+ or 6-.

    Great food! For a business up and coming this is one that I will look out for. I have been following them since day one and they seem to listen to feedback and make changes to succeed. Food was so tender. Got oxtail and short rib. Fall off bone tender and the broth/sauces were very rich and tasty. Will definitely come back to try different things on their menu.

    First time here for a birthday dinner. Our server Bobby was great and made sure everything was satisfactory. Loved the Caribbean food because it's not your usual fare in this area and also very delicious. We had coconut shrimp and fish lumpia for appetizers and the skirt steak with chimichurra sauce, Chilean sea bass in coconut cream sauce and the jerk chicken for entrees. All were outstanding except for the fish lumpia which had strong fish flavor and didn't go over big. Everything else was great. Will definitely be coming back. Noise-wise, not too bad despite some previous reviews. It's your regular lively busy restaurant which imo is a good sign. We will definitely be returning.

    What an A-MAZE-ING dinner! Loved the food, the cocktails, the ambiance and the location! Our service was a bit slow (the waitress kept disappearing), but for a new restaurant, I cant fault them for getting a few kinks worked out! Definitely on my return list. There were 5 of us and we all ordered different entrees and shared! Not a so-so or bad dish in the house! And do NOT forget the desserts!! OH, YA!!!!!!
