The Hatching Post is located in West Kelowna, we serve authentic Texas-style BBQ with a local twist. Our menu features high-quality, Canadian-sourced meats smoked low and slow over fruit woods. Enjoy our signature brisket, pulled pork, and St. Louis ribs, along with shareable platters and house-made sides like mac & cheese and smoked yams. Each dish is crafted for fresh, flavorful dining that highlights our dedication to delicious, authentic BBQ.

Our beer selection is crafted to complement our exceptional BBQ. We offer a diverse range of in-house brewed beers, including refreshing ales, rich stouts, and crisp lagers, each brewed on-site to ensure freshness and quality. When booking this reservation I was asked about any special occasion, I put down there 2 birthdays being celebrated, that was not mentioned or asked about, it would have been nice that they recognized them without me having me to tell them. If it is not being recognized why ask on the reservation. Food was good and enjoyed by all. Service was lacking I felt, we didn't know who our server was, we had one take our drink and someone else take our food order. We also felt very rushed, as soon we were finished our dinner, we weren't offered desert or even a 2nd drink. They cleared the table and presented our bill right away. Our reservation was at 5 pm and we were out at 6 pm, felt very rushed and really no time to visit. We had our children visiting from out East, they were not overly impressed either and all stated that would not rush back to this restaurant and really neither are we.

Everything was wonderful - there were 7 of us, including friends from out of town, we bring our company to the Hatching Post for the experience & amazing food.

Amazing food! But cost wise, tad expensive when you don’t get a side with it. I understand the cost of the meat, but throw the side in. The place itself very unique looking. The service was great too!

A visit to the Gatching Post is always a must when we are entertaining out of town visitors. It’s unique, love the decor the food and the service is always top notch . A good choice for a relaxed, comfortable dining experience!

Went there as group of four and ordered platter with meats and sides. Huge am on my of food that was very tasty. Nice service and reception.

We always make sure to stop at The Hatching Post whenever we’re visiting from out of town, and it never disappoints! We had a bit of a wait for our reservation but they made up for it with good service and great food.

The food was fantastic- everything I ordered had so much flavour and the in house beer compliments the meal, and the rustic charm of the building. I will most definitely be eating here again- as someone who was born and raised in Texas, this is like being back home.
