At The Hatch Gate we serve freshly cooked British pub food all day, every day. Our pubs offer a wide variety of classic pub dishes to suit every occasion and every appetite.

With pub favorites like hatch burger and mash, created using British recipe sausages, mashed potatoes, gravy and cheesy garlic bread, our food is always comforting.

Within our menu we specialize in your favorite British dishes and traditions. Take a look at our quick bites and light bites.

Outstanding food and service. Two menus - English and Indian. Ordered the shrimp from the Indian menu and the lamb from the English - both were fantastic.

The venue is dingy and unloved. Service was sporadic and lacking quality. Furniture was worn out (one chair on our table was broken). Menus provided were confusing. Indian menu and food quality was great however so if you can ignore all of the above and go just for the food its fine. However I would not go out of my way to have a meal there unless these issues were addressed.

Firstly my main gripe was the menu situation. From the website it looked like there was a choice of English or Indian but on arrival was told the Indian menu was the only one available. I had lamb rogan josh which was ok if a little bland. I had mashed potato with it which was a nice touch. My girlfriend's chicken korma was over cooked with not enough sauce (in our opinion) Was offered complimentary drink but declined as we wanted to get out because the room was a wee bit chilly. Overall disappointing

Great little find. Lovely place with friendly staff, food was terrific tasty and well presented. The only criticism was they do try to rush you to order but on the whole a pleseant experience.

always good here ,book, try a none busy time--whenever that is. Pub is next door --happy with lots of locals. Restaurant quite separate and un hurried

Thought we'd booked a nice pub evening meal for a family of four. Turns out the Hatch Gate Inn is both a pub restuarant serving the usual range of English pub food and lovely Indian too. This meant one teenager could enjoy his steak and chips whilst the rest of us enjoyed a very good Indian meal. Food was excellent. service quietly attentive and reasonable tudor style ambience. We shall return!
