Great brunch! Staff was super nice and knowledgable on the menu. Helped us select a perfect meal!
Imaginative food nicely prepared, with friendly service to boot. We were seated next to a 'noisy threesome', and when we looked quizzically in the direction of the very loud ( as in screaming) talking, our service person immediately directed us to quieter table without our saying a word.
The wait staff was unfriendly and slow. We were seated for 10 minutes before being approached with a wine list. The wine list was absurdly expensive; we checked some of the wines on an app, and the prices were quadruple+ what was listed on the app for the few wines we checked. The online food menu is inaccurate, which is annoying since I wanted the monkfish that is no longer available. Also, my friend ordered the chicken and was told it would take about 30 minutes, so she switched to the pork shoulder. The pork shoulder took 35 minutes to arrive; when we mentioned that to the rude waitress, she (predictably) said the kitchen was busy. She should have told us to order the chicken since everything would take 30 minutes, but she did not. We asked for bread and she said they “do not do that but would get us something”. When we finished dinner and declined dessert, she brought over two warm chocolate chip cookies because “she could tell we were unhappy”. I am always suspicious when that happens right about the time we are about to pay and calculate the tip. As for the food, the branzino was ok, the pork shoulder was ok but dry, the French fries were very good, the hummus was very good and the warm cookies were good. This is a cute spot with lots of work to do to improve its standing.
The food was delicious, the drinks were well balanced and great, the service was phenomenal and attentive, and the ambiance is always beautiful. One of the neighborhood's absolute gems.
Great food and service as always. Reliable neighborhood spot
Off the beatten track, The Harrow is a destination worth going to. It is small room, so it can get a tad loud .
That said the food is great and the menu is varied , something for everyone. Loved our server, Nikki ( or Nicole ), she was fun, focused and took great care of a group of six woman . Not sure when, but I look forward to returning .
Zack was our server. He was perfectly attentive and knowledgeable on the menu.
Amazing food and cocktails!
Good food and value with the exception of their wine list. Markup on lower level wines is 4 - 5 x the retail cost which is way too high for wine of lower level quality. Otherwise, great.
Outstanding! We started with 2 appetizers, the bacon and the crabcakes. It was the best crabcake I've ever had! The bacon was incredible! For dinner I had the bronzino and my son had the crispy pork shoulder. I am hard to please and both meals exceeded our expectations. The portions were perfect and the presentation was impressive. The cocktail menu made for an impossible choice but I went with The Harrow signature cocktail. SO GOOD!! Fantastic atmosphere and loved that there was a manager/owner presence not that it was needed as the service was top notch! Can't wait to go back!!
Made my reservation for 6 people the day before and they were easily able to accommodate (which made me think they would be kind of empty,) but almost every table was full at 730P on a Thursday night. We had one late arrival and the server kindly waited to put in our dinner order until we knew our late arrival was on the way. However, we had many apps to share, so no one was concerned about the wait for our main course. Drinks, apps and dinner were very good. Portions could have been a bit bigger, but very happy. Once we finished dessert and coffee it was after 10P when we left. A nice night out.
Loved the environment and service. Octopus very good. Interesting take on the lobster pierogi. Rib dish enjoyed by friends. Pleased we tried The Harrow. Will return.
A nice place to have in an area with not that many restaurants. The food was good. The space was a bit cramped. The main downside for us was the noise level was very high.
From the bar to Zach as our server, we had an awesome experience and the pork shoulder was delicious!
Without asking they brought the table a delicious cookie with bday candle and glass of champagne
Very nice little restaurant. Simple menu but food was well-prepared. Was catching up with a friend who was in town over brunch and ambience and noise level were FINE. Service was cordial and friendly. Would definitely recommend!
This place is crazy underrated. We couldn't get last minute reservations at Meme, or a few other Mediterranean places on a Thursday night. The Harrow had plenty of availability. We were 2 of maybe 10 people in the restaurant which made us nervous about the quality. The drinks are AMAZING! The food was INCREDIBLE! And the service was friendly and casual. The ambiance was elevated but comfortable. We just couldn't believe that it was not jammed with people. If you haven't tried this place, please do! I want to make sure it lasts for years to come for us to continue to enjoy!
The Harrow turned out to be a wonderful surprise. Just picked a restaurant at random close to broadway and what a gem we found. From the moment we walked in the door it was fabulous; ambience was great, service was fabulous, drinks were amazing and most importantly the food was so, so good. All three of us ordered something different and were all thrilled with our selections. I personally loved the ceviche appetizer, the lobster Mac and cheese and the scrumptious pork shoulder. I highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!
We came in for Lobster Bake Monday!! I saw this posted on Facebook and had to come in and try it! What an amazing value for the money. Delicious way to start off my week. Will definitely be back!
Cozy neighborhood spot...creative cocktails, tasty food and great service.
the food and atmosphere is second to none!!!
They're doing an OK job, but the space is cramped and noisy. Food is OK but nothing memorable.
We had a wonderful, after-theatre dinner at the Harrow. It was my third time there and I will surely be back! Steak was excellent, service was great, everyone was happy. Love this spot!
A great new find. Cozy. Great menu had the Lobster Pirogies which were great. Fantastic service. Will go back.
Ambitious menu that succeeds. Very friendly, helpful staff. Loved it!
Nice friendly atmosphere, the service was very good and the food was delicious.
Small place but nice atmosphere. I ordered the lamb chops and my wife ordered the salmon. My chops were really good but there were only 3. My wife’s salmon tasted bad, like it was old, so we sent it back. The manager came over and apologized profusely, and ask if he could get her something else. She requested a burger if it would not take long, and he said he would make it the kitchen’s # 1 priority! The burger was out approximately 8 mins later, and my wife loved it! They then treated us to desert and a port wine, all on the house! We really appreciated them rectifying the situation with a different meal, and then awesome perks. Would recommend.
The server at Harrow was excellent. We started off with the hummus appetizer (delicious) and the tuna tar tar (ok, but the tuna taste was smothered by too much salt and avocado). For the main meal, my husband had the veal special. The first couple bites were delicious but the rest of it was pretty fatty and stringy.
Great little neighborhood place with some inventive dishes. The service was very friendly the food is yummy and well priced and we were never rushed. We will definitely be back.
The Harrow is pretty new and there's potential here. It's visually attractive and comfortable. Wine prices are high. Food prices are reasonable for the area. We had shrimp ceviche (excellent), lobster pierogi (excellent), salmon (excellent), and a lobster special (hmm). I could not get the lobster out of the shell with splattering all over, and the chef had left the green stuff in the body cavity. Experienced lobster eaters know--never eat this stuff. But an inexperienced eater might have confused this stuff with guacamole or something edible. Mistake. Cappuccino coffee was excellent.
So...we would go back. But there are some bumpy parts that could be fixed.
Locale molto elegante e raffinato. La cena ed il servizio sono stati ottimi.
Great brunch menu. Quality ingredients and excellent service. Really hit the spot. Highly recommend, and I'll be going back!
Went on our anniversary after a broadway matinee. Short walk from theater to Hell’s Kitchen. Nice drinks from personable bartender: we had the Rosemary Blush tequila cocktail rimmed with seasoned salt: so good! Interesting and complete wine options.
We did not plan desert but our waitress came back with complimentary flutes of blanc de blanc & a brownie sundae to share.
Andrea, our waitress was outstanding.
For dinner we shared cider braised bacon (sinfully good), artichoke salad, lobster & potato pierogi, ( all small plate or midcourse options) sweet and spicy cauliflower as a side, and shared the crispy pork shoulder main course.
For NYC, prices were very reasonable.
They also have nice happy hour menu at the bar post matinee times, but we opted for full menu
Switched restaurants at last minute, and I could not have been happier! The food, wait staff, bartender, and restaurant were stellar! We went early due to a show, but everything was amazing and I can't wait to go back!
The service was very good with friendly welcoming staff and the restaurant space was lovely. The food was well presented and portions adequate but lacked flavor combination. The idea of noting the glass types for the drinks is a nice touch but the actual flavor and presentation left my wife and I disappointed. The seems to have great potential so I would be interested to see how things improve in a few months.
Drinks and Dessert were excellent but main courses were only fair to good.
Very nice before theatre at the complex at 52/10
Absolutely awesome dining experience. Amazing food and service. So good that we have dined here several times for dinner and brunch.
Delicious rye manhattans served in a beautiful glass. Perfectly attentive but not overbearing service. Food was delicious. Loved, loved, loved the ceviche - fresh and delicious. Hangar steak was cooked perfectly.
fabulous food and great service, we will defiantly be returning.
