The Harrods Tea Rooms
Great attentive staff and amazing food. Exceeded all expectation!
We had such a wonderful time for my birthday lunch. The service the food was outstanding
Took my 8 year old Niece for Afternoon Tea a Pre-Christmas treat & she loved it.
She’s quite a picky eater too but the staff were super accommodating & replenished the sandwiches & cakes she enjoyed the best. She heartily enjoying the Piano players Christmas renditions.
We both had the Regular Adult Afternoon tea rather giving her the Junior version & I enjoyed all of it. Great Value at £99 for the two of us.
Service was slow and terrible and all items were sent out of order. Take your £ somewhere else.
It was very elegant and relaxing that you would like to stay sitting longer. I really enjoy my afernood tea for my birthday. Especialy my Harrods birthday cake and card. Thank you for making that day special.
Food is very good particularly the cakes. Disappointed the room was not decorated for Christmas given it was exactly 2 weeks before Christmas Day.
No variety in bread used to make the sandwiches. The sandwiches are clearly pre-made so the bread is stale.
In een woord... Fantastisch!
Very noisy and didn’t feel ‘special’ in any way. Not what I expected. Food was nice but service slow.
Constantinos, our waiter was extremely gentle and beautifully sang “happy birthday” to me!
Harrods is magic, but The Tea Rooms are yet too crowded, comparing with the past.
Love afternoon tea. Love Harrods. I enjoyed it very much.
I wish they could watch the dress code a little more, as part of the experience and the value.
The Harrods Tea Room was so much more than what I expected. The staff were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was enhanced by the pianist playing some beautiful music. I didn't feel rushed, the food was wonderful and at a reasonable price. I would recommend it highly. The room is beautiful.
The whole experience was up to real expectations and would definitely come back again.
Harrods has been on of our preferred locations in London for afternoon tea.
The quality of food has always been excellent and was also on this visit on 7th December. It is also nice that we were offered extra sandwiches, which meant that the quantity of food was more than sufficient.
The issue with this visit may have been related to the time of year. We were 2 adults and 2 children. The problem is that when you are paying £200+ for an afternoon tea, you have an expectation on the overall experience.
The tea rooms seemed simply too busy. We arrived 15mins before the reservation time of 16:00 and were advised to wait as they were “checking in” the reservations for 15:45. This would be ok if there was sufficient seating space to wait, but there was not. So the children sat on the floor.
The toilets are not within the tea rooms and are shared with the store and the Meze restaurant and champagne bar. So the ladies was a good 15minute wait. This is not acceptable.
The servers were professional and friendly as always but very busy and we had to twice request the bill before we could pay.
Everything seemed too stretched for the high number of customers so I’m sad to say it will probably be our last visit here for afternoon tea as there are plenty of other very good options available.
Out with my daughter for a bit of Christmas shopping
Lovely venue and ambience. Service was brilliant and the food was fantastic! So many choices of tea and top up sandwiches. Although quite pricey the quality was amazing and we were both stuffed 👍
This is my daughter and I’s third visit for pre Christmas and we love it!
We had a table to the left hand side in big comfy chairs. The selection of sandwiches were delicious and the cakes superb!
Scones were delightful but priced too much.
All washed down with lashings of Earl grey and a bye timber sparkling wine.
Can’t wait for next year
Slow service and average food.
Given a table for 5 to seat to for afternoon tea, felt like fish in a bowl so asked to be moved. We were given a lovely table. Couldn’t fault the afternoon tea, sandwiches were very flavourful and the cakes just the right size. Price wise I have had just as nice afternoon teas that are cheaper, but well worth the experience.
Everything about it was amazing. Staff, food was made to feel very welcome and I would definitely go back.
Our server misremembered our tea orders and brought 3 teapots instead of 4. Would've loved the opportunity to ask for more sandwiches, but regardless there was a bizarrely long pause before the scones and less attention paid to our tea after the first hour. We would've drunk more but our server disappeared for most of the last hour and we had to ask another person for help. The food and tea selection was lovely!
Great atmosphere and service. Food very taste. A bit noisy.
Peppe made sure we were treated like royalty whilst experiencing a magical afternoon tea in the Georgian Tea room with my grandparents, who said that it was a spectacular day out from start to finish with lovely peaceful and modern music being played by the pianist throughout the course of the meal to suit the tranquil environment. Peppe came over to check us during our afternoon tea, and always had smile on his face. The staff who were looked after were ever so attentive and punctual, going above and beyond throughout the meal.
Our server was great however the overall experience is poor. The server working the bar was totally unfriendly and professional.
I went there for my 33rd birthday it was lovely place it can be a bit pricey but its worth it paying amount of money , the waiter who's been serving us disappeared we've been waiting for half an hour for our scones to be served but all in all its was good had a lovely time .
Happy to see that your Headwaiter is still active. Polite, friendly, pleasant personality.
It was just lovely. Great service. Live piano music is such a nice touch too.
Food presentation could be better.
Very nice and kids friendly. Our waiter was really nice. Desserts were amazing
A very nice Christmas treat
Lots of replenishment of tea and cakes
Friendly and professional service
Unfortunately there was some young children in restaurant the were crying
Another fantastic lunch in the harrods tea room. The perfect place for a treat mid way through your shopping experience. Lovely menu to choose from and it is prepared to a very high standard. The service is impeccable and the staff are great. Abit on the pricey side-but what do you expect from Harrods. The only negative is that there was a family with a small child who was for some reason being allowed to run round.
We visited when the children were singing which was delightful. We were very full after our food but was offered more and nothing was too much trouble
Amazing! 🙌🏽 I went for my 30th, had a lovely time!
Overall a pleasant experience.
It was let down by two things
The toilets are tired and need updating. They are not up to the same standard as the restaurant.
I object to having service charge added. The waiter had to go and speak to the manager to have it removed.Yhis took rather along time and made me feel uncomfortable.
It is a lovely atmosphere in the middle of a very busy department store. It is unfortunate they do not enforce their dress code. People with baseball caps, torn jeans, and dirty tennis shoes should not be seated in such a place. Otherwise, if one can ignore the slobs it is a nice place for lunch, though somewhat limited in the menu offerings.
Get first high tea/ afternoon tea experience!
Een super gezellige afternoon tea gehad. Op verzoek een mooi tafeltje gekregen. Zeer vriendelijk personeel die er alles aan doen je tevreden te stellen.
Waited an extraordinary amount of time for our meal, only for half of it to be missing and the fish so dry it was inedible. Not enough staff on the floor to manage the amount of covers, wine was poured by ourselves, overall incredibly disappointing.
As this was a special treat for my birthday with my mum I was very disappointed when we were reminded we only had table for one and a half hrs and would have to leave ...On arrival we were told we should eat our sandwiches and scones would be taken out fresh when we were ready . We did this and told waiter when we were ready for them and waited at least half an hour after which our waiter told a gentleman to go to the kitchen to find out what was happening. Eventually scones arrived we would have liked to have had time to eat our cakes but after eating two we were approached by a waitress asking if we were aware that our time was up .We explained about the delay with the scones and we were offered a box for remaining cakes .We declined as we did not travel from Inverness to London to get a doggy bag .We settled our bill and left feeling very let down as this was the main purpose for our visit to London . Not an experience we care to remember I’m afraid .
