I am vegan and the food was so good! I am glad l could make it there after a long hike I had. The environment, staff and food all worth it!
I really enjoy this place. Good food, whether you want a good burger or good German food. Friendly staff and they know their menu. Nice beer selection, especially on tap (along with a full bar), good value as well. One tip, dress warm in the colder months. It is an old house (inn) and drafty
The food was amazing - very flavorful.
It was quiet just because of the set-up of building (an old beautiful house).
Overall a pleasant evening for a date night with my husband.
Our meals were delicious and we loved the beer selection!
This was our second try at the Harmony Inn.
We had a terrible experience on Valentines Day 2020.
Management gave us a $25 dollar gift card to help make it right.
After a long wait with the pandemic we decided to give it another try.
We really want to like this place!
This time, we did not even get to order.
We were seated upstairs with another couple.
We waited about 10-15 minutes.
Nothing. No server. No manager.
I asked my wife if she felt like reliving the history of another bad experience.
We did not.
We wished the other couple good luck, and left the building without anyone even acknowledging us.
We made reservations and were expected.
This place is a wreck.
It’s felt like it was run by kids.
It’s in desperate need of a management change.
We won’t be back, and that sucks. I’ve heard the food is good.
Great little spot. Food was great. The beer was excellent so good I got some to go in a crowler. It was tough monk. Service was a little slow but not too bad given they are open in a pandemic. Great little spot worth the drive.
A very good place to eat. The food was great and the service was excellent.
My husband chose this restaurant to celebrate his birthday.
We were greeted by two employees when we entered. After waiting several minutes and having to seek out one of the employees, we found out each thought the other employing was taking care of us.
When handed our menu, we found it to be considerably smaller than when we visited on Sept. 6. That was probably on us to check first. But I had assumed that a German-based restaurant would not eliminate the vast majority of their German food.
Service was very slow, in spite of the fact that very few people were there. We saw only one other occupied table.
We have fined at this restaurant several times prior to this and have always had a wonderful dining experience. However, this week-night experience was just “off.”
We had a nice meal at the Harmony Inn. The food is very good and reasonably priced. It was a nice day and we enjoyed dining on the patio. I was disappointed that they were out of many items that we wanted, including a beer, soup and dessert choice. We dined on a Monday (late afternoon) and the server said they had been busy over the weekend. The restaurant should plan better. Regardless, we would return.
Service and food was very good
Everything was great!! Will definatly return and recommend to friends!!
Loved it . You feel like you are on a get away. Quaint and relaxing. Reminded me of being in Savanna. The Service was good, perhaps a little abrupt. The food was outstanding. I got the steak spätzle as did 2 others and my husband got the fish sandwich. The fish was the only disappointment. We told a lot of people that it's a must go and we'll be back.
Fantastic experience from arrival to leaving! The staff was exceptional, the food was phenomenal and an incredible value, and the entire place is a unique experience in and of itself. It was a perfect dinner!
The Harmony Inn is always great. We sat outside under the tent on a lovely day. We had our daughter's wedding rehearsal dinner here, and we love it...
Birthday dinner outside. Everything super nice!
We loved it Food Service and Ambience!!!! Outsatanding!! We will be back!
Scheduled a reservation to enjoy some German food on a pleasant Oktoberfest weekend. Menu was understandably reduced due to covid, but hardly any traditional German food remained. American fare disguised with German sounding names. Burgers and wraps. Brisket and ribs. Fried fish sandwiches. Wholely disappointed and hope that the German menu returns post covid.
Very disappointed in that reservation was for outside seating given my wife’s immunology concerns. When we arrived though the specification were on the original reservation we were told we would have to go to the bottom of the list and wait a minimum of one hour. Our bill with tip exceed $160.00 My wife called to speak to a manager 8/24 with no return call.
Always great food, never disappoints! Our waitress was great! Five Stars!!!
Great place. Sat in the patio. The beer selection is enormous. Food portions are huge and wonderful. Had the Turkey Rachel and 2 different beers. Can't wait to go back.
I enjoyed Harmony Inn over all. My waitress was super sweet.I definitely will go back. They did forget to give me all of my order thou that I was taking home with me.I should have checked bag but did not.Pretzels and beer list very good!
Great atmosphere and good. Would definitely recommend.
Food was good, limited menu selection, server was excellent, sat inside restaurant with plenty of spacing. Downside bathrooms are up on second floor. Requires walking up stairs..
Food took over 45 minutes to get to our table. Not enough servers. Food was excellent.
Our dinner outside was lovely. My steak spaetzle was incredible. My husband and friend got the Running Bull and although it was good. It wasn't brisket, it was more like shredded rump roast.
Meals were very good, our waitress was good, although she spilled the au jus on my wife and offered only a "sorry" -- does anyone remember when business' used to train employees about customer service? Ah, the good old days. However, major points off for another waitress not wearing a facemask -- totally unacceptable in these times!!!
We were very disappointed with our dinner and the atmosphere. We were seated in a 2nd floor room that was dimly lit and "worn". The 2nd floor bathrooms were not clean. In fact, one of the bathrooms did not have a door! The Harmony Inn has a limited menu selection, and the quality of the food was fair. Our waitress was pleasant and engaging. She did, however, forget our appetizer and offered a complementry slice of German chocolate cake in its place. This was a birthday dinner for my partner. When making the reservation, a request was made for a "surprise birthday" dessert. Did NOT happen! I would not recommend the Harmony Inn for a special occasion dinner or dinner for out of town guests. The Inn is more suited for sitting outside and ordering beer (great selection), sandwiches or burgers.
Wonderful as always, food was good, as well as the servers
The fish sandwich was absolutely huge and delicious. The server was attentive and everyone was so friendly. We have eaten here before and it's always enjoyable. I wish they would offer more German style entree choices though.
Limited menu due to COVID but food was good. Had the salmon salad, very good. Service was very good, server was attentive!
When we arrived wearing masks as set by the state, found no other guests waiting inside and outside for a table not wearing masks, not keeping 6 feet apart from other groups and nothing was said. Taken to our table outside and people were walking in and out of the bar again not wearing masks. Outside bar open with people stood three deep and no social distancing.
We then decided it was not safe to dine their and went to Smoky Bones instead, very disappointed and will not return until we see a complete change in attitude from the management
wonderful menu, wonderful service. live music on Monday's.
Great ambience, food, hospitality all rolled into the Harmony Inn 👌
We enjoyed a lovely meal inside the Inn. Service was a little slow but they were very busy. Food was great.
This was our first time at The Harmony Inn. We were celebrating my birthday and so glad we decided to try someplace different. The atmosphere on the patio was awesome. Food was delicious and price was very reasonable. We will be back.
Just a great place to dine, get a sandwich or a snack, and a nice beer menu. Lots of their own brewery stuff and a lot of other options. Try the spaetzl...it’s awesome.
Really, really bad service (it was Father’s Day so I understand...but I’m also a server and it was really, really, really bad service). They ran out of syrup for brunch even though our reservation was at 10:30am. I had bits of stuff floating in my water, she brought me a new water and there was a bug in it. I didn’t want to ask for another one because she seemed so busy and it took about 10 minutes to receive the second glass. So a third glass was not gonna happen. I just drank the bug water.
Our server actually checked on us one time and one time only. We asked for syrup from three different people over the course of 20 minutes and nobody ever brought it (apparently because they were out). They seemed really understaffed so we weren’t mad or anything but the service really needed some work.
When it came time to pay, we were a little crunched for time because I am a server and it was Fathers Day and I had to work at 1pm. We thought a 10:30am reservation wouldn’t affect that. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find my server and had to go inside and find someone in order to pay the tab so we could leave. I ended up being late for work because of the lack of service.
The food, however, was fantastic. I wish I was able to eat it when it was fresh, rather than waiting 20 minutes for syrup and having cold French toast. At least it tasted yummy cold. The sandwiches and burgers were delicious. The latkes were also great. Food was 10/10.
I would come back again, but definitely not during this pandemic and never on a holiday. I can only assume that’s why the service was so subpar.
Amazing! Will be back for sure. Service and atmosphere incredible.
Wonderful restaurant in a quaint little historic town. Great atmosphere and very good food. Our waitress was very attentive and quick to all our requests. We will definitely go back in the future.
We enjoy going to the Harmony Inn. It is one of our go to restaurants, especially now with the Covid 19. The seating outside is so peaceful. The service is always good and our meals are delicious.
