Fairly slow getting the food to our table. Not all items ordered were delivered to the table at the same time. But that said, all of the food was great!

This restaurant has great food. We like to have Sunday brunch because the eggs Benedict is the best I have ever had!

Fun place to eat. Food was great, ambiance was fun and pricing was affordable. Easy access from Seattle for a day trip via the Ferry. Would recommend for groups as the dinning room seating was community style at the majority of the tables. Will go back again!

Charming, warm and comfortable. Outstanding wait staff. In the center of downtown. Popular enough I would suggest reservations for dinner and weekends.

The atmosphere is great! This place has a lot of character being it was formerly a hardware store. The meatloaf was excellent and the brownie superb! My wife and I love this place and would definitely recommend it.

I like the Hardware Store generally, although this time they did not have a booth as I requested and the restaurant is a bit noisy making it harder for me to hear. The booth makes a big difference so I was disappointed not to get one, but I understand there was a computer glitch with the Open Table software.

The food was ok, the drinks were better. Unfortunately the service was lacking, it felt like we were being rushed out of a half empty restaurant.

I've eaten at the Hardware Store many times and while they don't have many vegan/gluten free items, they have in the past always turned up with something for me that was really good. This time, however, I was hassled when the cook refused to make the only item on their menu that fit my dietary requirements. He said it couldn't be prepared before 11am but the menu did not give any such restrictions. When I asked what options I did have, the cook finally said that he'd do it just this once but never again. This put an unpleasant pall over the entire meal and I hope that it doesn't happen again.

I had a hamburger and fries for dinner. It was very tasty but I think that the burger should have been a larger to blend with all of the delicious additions to the hamburger.

We stopped in for brunch the weekend after Thanksgiving. They have options for vegetarian & vegan, which we greatly appreciated. Food was good, fresh ingredients. Service was fabulous. We’d definitely return the next time we visit Vashon.

We went specifically because they were having live music that night. We got a good table. My husband's crab cakes were good, as were our glasses of wine. My hamburger was good but the french fries looked liked the ones you get at McDonald's and tasted even worse. When you spend $15 for a burger, you should at least get hand cut fries!

The server may have been having an off day but her attention was definitely somewhere else and not on our group. We had to ask three time for a glass of iced tea. No one ever came back to check on water or anything else during our lunch.

We wanted to give our guests from Boston a unique Seattle area dining experience and having eaten many times at the Hardware store in the past (it is always worth the ferry ride)

The breakfast bowl was divine as were the truffle fries! The eggs Benedict received rave reviews from our boys. There was absolutely nothing remaining in any of our plates. Would return just for that breakfast bowl. Amazing food and overall great spot!

Great place for a bite in town. Staff was very friendly and service was excellent. We got the breakfast burrito and omelett. The burrito came out with side of pico and omelett came out with side of crunch potatoes and toast. Everything was delicious and looking forward to come back sometime.

Went out to celebrate my daughter's 14th bday. Ate excellent food. We had exceptional service. My daughter needs to eat gluten, soy and cow dairy free and they took a lot of care to make sure they need all the ingredients and made her feel great!

Was trying to be a fine dinning experience but in actuality was more lif
Me a glorified dinner with less attentive service. If you are not a foodie and want a safe family friendly dinning experience then maybe this would satisfy. Otherwise, there arr better options in town.

Came here for breakfast. Arrived before 8:30 and plenty of seating. Shared breakfasts with my wife. Had the blueberry buckwheat pancakes and a spinach bacon omelette. Both were delicious including the potatoes. The biscuit was a bit tough and not much taste, but the raspberry jam was yummy. The wait staff was ok, but he didn't check on us until we were almost finished. If I had needed him, I would have been able to get his attention.

The food was far above and beyond our expectations for this small town restaurant. Service was friendly and personable. I, my husband and my two teenage boys devoured the Parmesan Fries with Truffle Oil (You NEED to try these!), and all of our entrees were beautifully cooked and delicious - Buttermilk Chicken, NY Strip Steak, Spicy Chicken Burger, and the Halibut on the Special sheet.
