    This was such an odd experience. We’ve been to Hampton Social before, the food is always ok, nothing to get excited about. The server went out of his way to tell us they changed their ordering so the “Chef asks for the entire order up front and we will course it out for you”. We did that, and somehow got everything all at once. The food runner didn’t even have to go back to the kitchen and get additional items, she had it all in her hands. We said something to her about it, and no one came over to say anything or follow up. Then when the server came by, we told him and he said “oh well I thought you wanted it all at once”. Who wants their appetizers to come at exactly the sam time as their entrees?? He did nothing to accommodate for it, so we adjusted their automatic 18% tip they include - which they didn’t honor and they closed the check for the full amount. Won’t be coming back here any time soon.

    Large party of 17. 2 separate tables seated next to each other yet arrived at same time. First table got appetizers and entrees before 2nd table even got appetizers. The 1st table was done eating all together while we awaited appetizers. Food quality was horrible. Food was sent out cold, chicken undone and pizza salty. The octopus taste boiled and drinks watery. Oysters were not fresh either. Spent over $1100 for a bad experience. I've visited other locations and have had great experiences. Management needs to overhaul staff. It seems as though there were a bunch of college age young adults that may need more supervision or training. Previously worked with Kaitlyn to set up for large party. She has my contact information.

    We had a reservation for a party of eight on Sunday. We were seated quickly when we got there, and at least in the beginning, the wait staff was very attentive. But after we placed our food orders, it took a long, long time to get our food - even the waiter (Rome B.) seemed a little mystified. When all the orders came out, some of them were hot, and some were warm - it seemed to us as a clear kitchen problem - that they had a problem getting all the orders ready at the same time, and left some sitting there waiting for other items to be ready. It still was a good experience - I loved the vibe and probably would enjoy sitting at the bar with my wife having a drink and a meal. But the place seemed overwhelmed by a table for eight, which was disappointing since we were there to celebrate my son's engagement.

    I took my mother here for her 77th birthday and we both have it a 10/10. I recommend the Brussels sprouts if you’re looking for a healthy appetizer. The salmon dish was superb as well as the clam chowder soup. We are only in Chicago for one more day and may try and go one more time. Shout out to our waitress who is from Atlanta :)

    Food was plainly not tasty, service was slow/not frequent, the place has live music but OMG SO LOUD, we were in the far end, I’m not sure how closer folks didn’t do deaf. Manager asks about our experience, we told him so he cancelled 3 out of 4 drinks since we weren’t interested in a free desert or similar. Ambience is great but both menu and noise level need improvement.

    Food was great- ambience was great too! Disappointed when 18% gratuity was added to our check for a party of 2. Thank god we saw it!! This needs to be advertised on their site for FULL transparency.
