Great little spot. Food and service we're very good. Great cocktail. Though I liked the mix, the music seemed unnecessarily loud. I think they turned it down at some point, either that or the cocktails took the edge off.
We weren’t seated until 30 minutes after our reservation even though we were there early. There was no apology or offer to accommodate us in any way. The host ignored us for the most part which was disappointing since we were there for a birthday celebration.
Once we were finally seated, the waitress was great and the food was delicious.
Always good stop, sometimes the wait is excessive but not as bad as some other places.
So happy that the chef changed the menu & offered the "Robert Plant" veggie burger, which tasted really good! I didn't care for the goat cheese on the burger; I took it off & ate it with my side salad instead. I hope the restaurant keeps this item on the menu! Also, they have the best coffee!
We went for brunch. My daughter was pregnant so she needed her egg cooked hard. They struggled with that request. After returning the food to the kitchen twice she ate what was okay for her.
I got the breakfast burrito. It was a little dry
There must be a premium on water in Jersey City since it was impossible to get a glass of water with dinner, not to mention that they charge $2.00 for “Rocks” should you order a drink on the rocks. But aside from that and the mouse constantly running around the place during dinner, aces in my book.
Great food, great service, great ambiance
Service was excellent, drinks were great, food was tasty.
Great all around .. first time I had the fish tacos.. I highly recommend.. plus you can’t go wrong with the lamb burger ..
I wouldn’t really classify this as a place for a business meal but that is why I was there. My client chose it based on wanting to try a local place near his new work location.
The service was on point. Attentive and patient. The food was great. Good for foodies without being too pretentious. I’d describe the vibe as JC Hipster which is why I wouldn’t necessarily classify it as a place for a business meal...but hipsters don’t judge you if you’re in a suit. So give it a try regardless of what you’re wearing, who you are with and the purpose for the meal.
I will definitely return.
The place is beautiful, fun, seems to be lively and popular. Disappointed with the follow-through by management when a concern was expressed. Otherwise I'm sure it's a lovely place.
Always a favorite in Jersey City - went for restaurant week and as always superb at Hamilton Inn - Hamilton Pork is great as well.
Food delicious. However, we are with our coats on because every time the door opened, cold would rush in. There should be a better way to keep those sitting near the door warmer.
Went for resturant week and definitely enjoyed. Food was great and was quiet on a Tuesday. Been here before on a weekend night and it definitely gets crowded. Also enjoy sitting at the bar and getting an easy bite.
The Hamilton Inn provides great, dimly-lit ambience at night and an Earthy, neighborhood vibe. The menu has great tasting, fresh options in American cuisine, with some more typical North East-like, choice items. Everything is tasty!
The service is fantastic and very prompt. Great vibe at this location.
We absolutely loved the korean bbq wings we ordered. Great portion sizes especially for Jersey City , where we typically see smaller portions. The french dip sandwich was very good- could have been a tiny bit more tender. The fish tacos were good as well but could have had a little bit more flavor. Great service, music, and ambiance.
Had a great birthday brunch with my love one. Love the historical and rustic vibe.
Mostly it’s a bar/restaurant with the usual food but the recent addition of the pork restaurant next door added some interesting bbq items (they’re jointly owned ). The pork bun appetizer was delicious. My complaint on my main course, the ahi tuna sandwich was that it quickly fell apart, the bun was too weak. The wait and hosting staff were friendly and attentive . The atmosphere is relaxed. They do need to update their website because it still says they have parking and they don’t anymore which we only discovered after getting there and having to call to ask where it was because we couldn’t find it.
Wonderful wait staff, tasty food, music for an afternoon business meeting was a bit loud.
Exhad to wait about 20 minutes for our reservation. $5 brunch cocktails was a great deal!
Great brunch! Breakfast burrito would have been perfect if the cheese-to-rice ratio was swapped... more cheese, less rice.
Otherwise, good food, good drinks, great atmosphere. Will be back!
Always great food and terrific service!
Great place. Never disappointed
Noontime lunch on a Tuesday, no wait, quiet. Easy access/location. Superb waiter, great food - Inn Burger, Corned Beef sandwich, Pork Belly Buns (I think it's called) appetizer. Prompt, attentive service. Have been there before, good experiences every time (except once), will definitely be back.
Seriously, you gotta try the Pork Belly Buns!
The food and service were spectacular, but we were seated near the rear of the restaurant, and the side door was constantly opening and closing, freezing us and our food.
Great food, awesome music.
Amazing service and food. Only complaint was that it was really cold by the back door.
I'm a regular of Hamilton Inn's delivery and always enjoy going there, although their food in house can sometimes be inconsistent. I never have an issue with delivery for some reason, but my last visit, the fish tacos were bland, which isn't typically the case. Service was awesome. Good selection of booze. Not too pricey. Cozy af inside just try to not sit by the door - it's freezing by the door in the winter.
The food was delicious. It’s a bar with a huge food selection. Came there with a group of kids, and had a great kids menu.
Food was delicious, server was efficient and friendly. Had a great brunch.
Had Sunday brunch here. Casual but nice atmosphere, great food, nice people. Worth stopping in if you are in the neighborhood.
Great ambiance. Huge fan of low light restaurants
Our server Brain, was really bad. He didn’t care about our order. We had to order for drinks, food and desert multiple times.
Always a great dining experience here.
I decided to eat at The Hamilton Inn on Saturday night because it was recommended to me and I was looking for a break from the typical Hoboken restaurants. I was not disappointed with the Hamilton Inn, as the food and service were both great. A little louder than expected, but not overwhelming at all.
Great food & service! Would recommend to anyone looking for a casual, bar scene.
I didn't realize this was less of a restaurant and more of a bar. Server wasn't terrible but he barely spoke
I love this place. Food is great. Ambiance is great. It is my go to place when people are in town. Amazing French onion soup
Everything was utterly delicious and the service was impeccable. I'd highly recommend!
