   My wife's lobster roll was fine, our french fries were soggy from oil and my batter dipped fish was horrible. The ambience and location of the restaurant are fantastic.

   The restaurant was limited on available options due to a wedding that had happened the day prior. We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and had planned to have a nice dinner on our last night. The restaurant turned the lobby into a makeshift dinning room because they had an event the next day that they already set the dining room for which created a not great dining experience as we sat in the main entrance where everyone walked through. When you’re paying a premium for food the experience should match.

   Friendly staff and attentive service. The food was very well prepared and had good flavors. The cocktail I orders was so delicious I had to have a second! Even with a cloudy sky the view was beautiful.

   I think this restaurant gets high ratings for the view and how chic the interior is, but the food is nothing special /doesn’t match the menu descriptions and both glasses of wines we got were so bad (which was extra unfortunate since we’re in an area known for wine). We also happened to be seated next to a loud family with screaming children running all over the place and throwing toys at the staff, which is not the restaurant’s fault but completely took away from the experience.

   After planning a brunch for Mother’s Day, I was failed to be informed that I would be paying 65 dollars PER PERSON for average breakfast foods (eggs,pancakes, croissants) . This was the biggest rip off of my life. After I told the waitress we did not sign up for the brunch and that we would like to see a menu is when I was told there is only a brunch offered today and I wasn’t going to embarrass my family and leave. Not only was it’s 65 per person, and they have the audacity to include a automatic 20% tip when your serving yourself at the buffet. The only thing the waitress did was bring out our drinks. Coffee was also NOT included in the 65 dollar per person fee you actually had to pay for it additionally. This was the most disappointing and rip off of a meal I’ve ever eaten in my life. The price would have been justified if I was eating a 5 course meal steak dinner, but it was breakfast. Very disappointed and if I knew I would’ve been paying this amount of money I would’ve went to a steakhouse. Don’t waste your money at this place.

   We live on the North Fork and have enjoyed Chef Stephan Bogardus cuisine several times. Both at the North Fork Table and at the Halyard. This Mother's Day brunch was not one of them. Started with a Bloody Mary each - tasteless. A good Bloody Mary takes work. A tasteless one does too. Just horrible. Food: Bread - ok. Poached egg/salad - ok. Shrimp - ok. Precooked chaffing dish of tepid scrambled eggs - not good. Precooked and cold sausages (more kielbasa than breakfast) were just that- precooked and cold. Lobster/cheese risotto was more a soup than a risotto. The carving table beef was ok, the horseradish sauce would have been better coming from Arbys. Desserts were paltry. All in all a pretty terrible brunch - at any price. That said, our waiter was cheerful and helpful. Definitely a one and done for Mother's Day brunches at the Halyard. Still the best sunset on the NF -

   The server was very pushy with dessert. Instead of offering the dessert menu in her opening, our initial response was no thank you. To which the server replied “at least take a look at it.” It may have not been meant to be pushy. Unfortunately, that is exactly how it came across. It’s a great place and worth another try.

    Such a wonderful experience dining at the Halyard! Our waitress was so attentive and kind, and the manager brought us champagne on the house for our engagement. So thoughtful. The food was outstanding- you must try the grilled octopus and lobster cavatelli. Couldn’t have tasted better! Thank you.

    Very disappointing. Have been several times before and enjoyed. Prices are up - welcome to summer. They ask $6 for bread and butter. No joke. Food quality has declined: two at the table had an asparagus salad to star ($19), and fluke with bearnaise ($37) for the main. The asparagus salad was tiny. Two spears of asparagus for $19. The fluke had clearly sat under a heat lamp for a while. The bearnaise had a hard crust on top. Didn’t bother with dessert. It’s a great spot (though the decor has always been cold) and that may for some make up for the mid-quality food.

    One if our favorite spots. The service is so perfect… friendly and professional. The food is consistently delicious and some of the best drinks anywhere (not just in the north fork). We love it.

    We enjoyed a lovely evening celebrating a birthday! Clam chowder came piping hot and serves two. We ordered the biscuits with butter and it was the perfect match. The fluke was excellent and the steak dish was phenomenal. Dessert did not disappoint either from triple chocolate dish to coconut parfait. Awesome! Two people can easily spend $200 plus tip Memories made! Priceless!

    The restaurant is beautifully updated and upscale with a relaxed seaside vibe. My children loved watching the waves roll up while they ate from a reasonably priced kids menu. We split three entrees and each one was delicious and unique. Compliments to the chef, but special thanks to our server Elton and the staff for their fast and attentive service.

    The place is very over priced, We had a gift certificate, other wise we would not have stayed. It was bad enough that on line the menu said $58 for the rib eye steak. When we got there it was $64 and came with mashed instant potatoes. Vegetables were extra. Would definitely not recommend this place!!!!

    Food was excellent as always. I had my favorite, the whole food plant based plate and my husband had the omelet. We both enjoyed our food so much and for dessert, the chocolate chip cookies were incredible. Beautiful views and great service too.

    Some of the dishes we ordered were quite good , mussels, fish & chips, while others were okay, shrimp starter and bread pudding dessert, meh. Tried a couple of the fancy cocktails but they were barely okay so we reverted to our standards. At this price point, everything should be more than just okay. We intentionally dined early so as to avoid any delays and a possibly overwhelmed kitchen. There was live music and it was a bit loud coming out of the bar area and started quite early. We were there to to catch the sunset, not interested in live music that drowned out our table conversation. The server was pleasant enough yet not informative. We'll still be back because we enjoy the space and have had better experiences there in the past.

    Was so excited to have dinner here and unfortunately, left a bit disappointed. Understandable that it’s off-season, but expected a better overall experience. Service was inattentive at best. Appetizers were excellent! Ordered the strip steak med-rare and was served well-done. Explained to waiter who didn’t seem to have checked the dish before serving. By the time a new meal was prepped, other entrees were cold. Again, server seemed un-phased. Decided to cut bait and have the meal wrapped to go. So wanted to love this place. Will definitely give it another try as I’ve heard such great reviews. Chalking it up to a bad night.

    Gorgeous setting . Cannot beat the view. Waitstaff was outstanding. Super friendly and welcoming. Food was good but very expensive for portion size. My salad was a small bowl with lettuce for $14.00. Fish tacos very small.

    Fresh and healthy menu - I loved that they had mocktails (although not thrilled that they charged the same price as an alcoholic beverage). They had vegan, gluten free dinner options. The vegetable plate was surprisingly good. Dessert options were limited but the chocolate mousse was excellent.

    Everything was excellent…from the friendly greeting when we arrived to the warm good night when we left. The food was absolutely fantastic. I especially liked the Salty Biscuits & Good Butter which my husband and I shared with our wine, until our appetizers arrived. My cavetelli entree was superb!! We will definitely return.
