The Hall Bar & Grill
The restaurant’s clubby decor will feature photographs and memorabilia from North Texas luminaries and other residents who once excelled on the playing field and who now serve as leaders in business, law, medicine, community service and so on.
This is 1 of two place I only get steak in the Dallas area
We always have the chicken, but today we tried the fresh lobster and ribeye steak. It was great but I think the chicken , may be our favorite.
I had a business lunch there and it was perfect. A low noise level so we could talk, enough room between tables to maintain confidentiality of the discussion, and outstanding service.
The food was delicious and Rosa, our server, was wonderful. I will definitely go back. It's a great "steak" place but more casual and not super expensive.
If you're serving staeks, at least have a lot of vegetable options and design a menu for Keto dieters.
Fun Trinity Groves area! Nice ambiance. Great service. Yummy steak. Brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes just okay. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, especially for a special occasion.
Service was a little slow to start but improved throughout the meal. There was a big party standing around at the bar for awhile. Very loud and distracting. Food was great as always!
We had a variety of items from the menu and everything was delicious. Be warned the House-Made Cinnamon Rolls on the Brunch menu are GIGANTIC and very yummy!
The food was good; we had to send back 3 entrees-was rare rare instead of med. well, but the Chef came to table and made it right. Rosa was awesome waitress.
College graduate celebration
The Hall Bar and Grill was a nice setting with personable service and an attentive wait staff. The food was excellent and large portions for both individuals dining. A place I will absolutely visit again when in town.
Went here for a birthday celebration the service and the food was fantastic. The creme brulee was excellent
All 4 of us had a fantastic meal. Steaks were great and the service was also fantastic. I read some other comments on the music choice...and it is a little interesting. However, it makes for good conversation. Overall great place and would go back again.
We have been to The Hall many times. I was in the mood for a steak and applesauce. I ordered the Strip and asked medium well. My wife only order salad and carrots. The steak was rare when I cut into the steak and they forgot the carrots it took about 5 minutes to get our waitress attention to let her know. I wonder if she was to write down what we asked the order might have been prepared the correct way. The steak was extremely tough tonight and only enjoyed my French Onion soup and apple sauce. It only takes one bad visit to rethink when and if I would return. I do like they don't put bread on the table when I don't need additional carbs. The applesauce is to die for. So I'm on the fence when I drive by so many great steak houses driving from north Dallas
We treated our clients to brunch to celebrate their 2nd anniversary of purchasing their first home.
Love coming here. Always great food. Portions are large and the food never disappoints!
Great service. Food was wonderful ! Thanks
When we arrived for brunch on Easter Sunday we were seated immediately. We were greeted by our server pretty promptly and she was well versed on the menu. I ordered a steak medium-well, my wife ordered the pancakes with bacon on the side and our millenial daughters shared the omelet. Needless to say it was a train wreck waiting to happen. My steak was cooked well done and I do mean well, my wife pancakes were burned and the omelet was not very tasty according to my daughters. We brought it to our servers attention that the steak was overcooked and the pancakes were burned they asked my wife if she wanted more pancakes in which she declined and told me that they took the steak to the kitchen, tore it apart and it was moist on the inside so you can eat that. We were also told we should come back at dinner time because that's when the best chef comes in. We were not very happy at all. If it weren't for our server I would give it 1 star. We will not be revisiting.
The food was delicious! Two of us had the prime rib, one had the crab cakes, and one had the filet. We also had the Brussel sprouts and potatoes. Finished with the apple something (yes that’s the name). Everything was cooked perfectly. Definitely will be going back. The food is much better than the decor would lead one to believe. Also, odd music for the ambiance.
Breakfast items appeared very good. The Prime Rib was less than satisfactory and cooked less than requested.
Absolutely will be back! This was our first time here and it made for a memorable date night with the hubby. The food was incredible. We had the steak and baked potato. Highly recommend the fish sticks for appetizer! Drinks were spot on and I can not wait for a return visit!
Went on half price wine bottle night which was great value. Steaks were good.
I am a picky Steak place person. The Hall always delivers a good meal for good value. Did I mention the BOOK of Bourbon the have there? Fabulous selection! We like the Hall.
Was looking forward to this as a birthday celebration. That was never acknowledged, which is OK but not ideal. Prices were WAY TOO HIGH relative to what we received, including both drinks and food. Was very disappointed in Mescal Old Fashioned - half-filled tumbler that seemed to be mescal only to a large degree and $14. Was overcharged for side item ($7 rather than the stated $# add-on with a $38 steak) of Syracuse Salt potatoes. One waitress was weak and the other was fine, although she only served us a small portion of the time. The $38 lunch strip was fatty and disappointing. Everyone is party thought it was a poor value - 1 crab cake for $16 or $18? Prime rib sandwich was reported as good but at $16 it was a little high, especially with no side. Other cocktails were just OK but also high-priced. Waitress brought the wrong wine and then tried to debate it when I corrected her - I ordered a Zinfandel (red wine), not a blush/white Zinfandel, and I called it out by name. Eventually got the wine but the idea was to try to enjoy it with a hot steak, and that was somewhat compromised. No draft beer at all - only cans and bottle. Drink menu was poorly organized and not terribly clear; and, in fact, it was misleading in terms of the specialty drinks. Five people for lunch, only one of us having a steak, and not everyone drinking for $200+ was a very poor value.
One of our favorite places!! Roasted Red Pepper Tomato soup is my favorite, as is the Prime Rib
Amazing food! Spinach and Artichoke dip is a must. The Filet Minon was one of the best cuts and looks my husband has ever seen. Our waitress was amazing too. Definitely going back.
The food is always fabulous and so is Lysette! This is our go to place for a great meal. Happy staff.
This was A last minute date idea, but it turned out great. I loved the ambience! We went kind of late but the service and food was awesome. Our server, Victoria was amazing. The food and drinks were A little pricey but worth it. I'd definitely go back
I had a drink called"The Mrs"that was the highlight of my meal.
Food was average. Server was nice but nothing special.
The quality of food has diminished. I ordered the prime rib and it was extremely fatty and with not flavor. The house salad was overly dressed to the point it was inedible. There were two servers who got into a dispute over who was going to wait on our table and it made us very uncomfortable. I will not be back.
Selected this due to rating on OpenTable. The representation on the app wasn't really what the establishment was like. It was a narrow bar/restaurant. Very noisy even though not a lot of people. Service was good, but the food was just so-so. Nice variety and if you are a craft beer aficionado, this might be a place for you.
Very nice experience. The salmon was excellent, the drinks were very good, and the service was top notch. My only issue is the sides are a la carte...not quite the ambiance for that, (we were in between lunch and dinner so maybe didnt see or feel the intended ambiance) but not a deal breaker.
Excellent service, Good food
The food here is so amazing! I had their seafood special and it was interesting and prepared perfectly. The menu is slightly different and creative. Service was also great and the restaurant is a nice size with a cozy ambiance.
Loved it! Great taste. Will defínatley come back for more.
The Hall has been my favorite for great steak since 1st visit, highly recommended to others however recent dining experience was much different.
Preface it by saying previous visits were in the evening, this visit mid-afternoon & our favorite server Victoria has moved from Dallas & is no longer there, she is who suggested certain menu items & preparation which we have stuck with.
Bibb & Blue Salas-fantastic! However bread was never offered.
Entree 1st brought to us mid-way thru our salad course, server apparently turned order in right away & either had not paid attention or was not knowledgeable in prep & cooking time. Entree is for 2, presented on only one plate and not as ordered, bone in & seared on flat top & was returned.
Entree presented 2nd time, by different server, seared but not bone-in cut as ordered. We explained what & how we had ordered & that we had this preparation each time in the past. A few minutes later a 3rd server approached us advising day-time kitchen was not familiar with evening prep and it would be a few minutes.
Entree presented a 3rd time, seared, on two plates and bone on set plate, not attached. Never have we had a “bone-in” served off the bone.
Steak was tender and tasty however cut was much thinner than in the past. We suspect we were served same plates 3rd time as 2nd time, kitchen just put a bone on plate.
Not sure if we will return, would like to hear from management on this experience.
Always great food and service
Withdrew more money than allowed
Great Atmosphere Staff Was Wonderful. Food Was Awesome. Will Be Coming Back Soon.
