Will be back!
Great food and service and once the weather gets better and their patio opens it’s going to be great place on the parkway for outdoor dining. It’s a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
First time to The Hadley which has only been open for 4 months to celebrate my birthday. We went for brunch and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. The portions were perfect. We had 5 different servings from the choc chip pancakes, eggs Florentine, egg & bacon pizza, avocado toast, and smoked salmon bagel. The service was as good as the food. We will definitely be going back again
Everything was good except no more bottomless mimosas :(
Lovely and attentive wait person. Food was outstanding! We had Sea Bass. The timing of the appetizers, salad, and entree was perfect. We definitely will return next time we visit Philadelphia.
Communication among the staff needs to be better. We were asked by 4 different staff members the same questions within the span of 5 minutes.
Great brunch ... awesome atmosphere and bottomless mimosa special.
Wow. Bottomless brunch is brutal. Food is amazing.
Ambiance was great, food was excellent.
Comfortable and welcoming. Food was delicious!
Good , convenient restaurant in Apt complex. Service was good and friendly.
Party next to us was a bit noisy. Otherwise, a good experience and will return.
Chicken parm was the bomb.
Great for drinks and appetizers only. Seems like a really cool place that wants to cater to a younger crowd but with a regular dinner menu. Decor is really cool. Music is great. Was just expecting more of a romantic setting for my wife and me.
The interior is really well appointed. The brunch menu looked delicious - the breakfast pizza was tasty and the French toast was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Bottomless mimosas were great addition. Can’t wait to come back!
Had the crabcakes and they were great. Beet salad amazing. Rigotoni and flank steak were very good. Solid for sure! The service was really great. Oh and picking your own bread....nice touch. Will go back for sure
We thoroughly enjoyed our entire evening with respect to the food which was delicious and the servers who were helpful. The crabcake appetizer was an excellent choice to start the meal and it just got better! We already have plans to return with friends. Hope it continues to be successful.
The restaurant is beautiful. The brunch special was a great value - very happy to have the Hadley in the neighborhood.
Great ambiance, food was great, although a bigger menu would make this restaurant perfect. Will definitely be a regular
A set menu of mostly American dishes enables the restaurant to do each of them masterfully well. Wonderful wait service, extensive bar, and comfortable, elegant surroundings.
Not worth it. Waiter was unprofessional and made our dinner very uncomfortable.
Very nice experience
The most wonderful people and the food was excellent!Love the decor.
Although the food was good and service well intended, given all of the other comparable choices in Philadelphia, the price point and associated ambiance for this experience diminishes the overall rating. It is clear that serving personnel have been trained with an overkill methodology. Being accessible to satisfy the customer is one thing, but the constant checking in on ever aspect of the dining experience was a bit disruptive and gave one the sensation of being "rushed along" - This seemed particularly odd since the restaurant had a considerable number of open tables.
Had a great time here for Sunday brunch! Phenomenal value/bang for your buck with the brunch menu. Servers and bartender were attentive and friendly! Will come back!
It was AMAZING. The food is all SO reasonably priced for the quality. Great vegan options, the service was WONDERFUL, very attentive, friendly, fun, personable.. Will DEFINITELY be back!
Our dining experience at the Hadley was a delight for all senses. The decor was elegant and comfortable. The service was impeccable but friendly. The food was incredible, especially the Brussels Sprouts. The Hadley was perfect for celebrating a milestone birthday as a family.
Beautiful new restaurant on the Parkway. Valet parking. Go there soon before everyone else finds out about it!
The Hadley was a delight food was good service was
Great place had a very romantic atmosphere weould
definitely return again
It’s a nice new place, so we had to check it out. The bar and dining rooms are delightful - casual & comfortable but refined and about as elegant as casual & comfortable get! The staff are all great! We felt at home as soon as we walked in, and everyone from bar staff to chef was truly interested in our thoughts as well as our evening. The bar is well stocked with popular high end drinks, and the wine list is limited but well chosen and not crazily priced - we had a nice Falanghina for $55 (fair value & a wise offering not often found on a small list). The menu is also well chosen and good value, with beautiful presentation. My carpaccio and tartare appetizer was truly delicious, although my wife’s black eyed pea cake was a bit dry and bland (yes, we know it’s vegan - that needn’t mean compromised ). She liked her cod a lot, and my yellow fin tuna was also very good. Service was personal and comfortable with no rush and no pressure - we like a leisurely meal and we got it. Once the machine is well oiled, we expect it to be a top spot, and we’ll be back to support that goal. It’s well worth the drive and price now, and it’ll be even better with a few more miles on the clock. Go there!
Nice selection of American fare: fish, pasta, meats, veggie. All is well executed, the food is very good. Especially recommend the Brussels sprouts and the cauliflower au gratin. Service was outstanding, server was attentive, courteous and injected some timely humor. Large group was handled well. Will be back frequently.
The Hadley has an extensive menu with options for everyone. From the flatbreads to the pasta to the seafood and meats, you really can’t go wrong.
First off, food was very good. Overall, the Hadley needs to work on many things. It took 25 minutes to get our drinks and the restaurant was empty. Appetizers were delivered before the drinks. While we were there eating, the floor manager sat down a the bar and ate his dinner which I thought was totally unprofessional. We asked for our bill, placed our credit cards down and the waiter walked by the table 5 times with our cards clearly visible. We had to go get him to come and pay the bill. Even though I voiced my issues to the waiter, no apologies or attempt to make the experience better. I will not be back to this restaurant. Too many great restaurants in Philadelphia with more concer about the patrons and their experience.
Every dish was wonderful. The only disappointment was that the Warm Washinhton Apple Tarte wasn't available.
Really strong start.....when kinks work out, will be great !
Great new restaurant. Food is good, atmosphere is great, service attentive and maturing (they just opened). Definitely recommend the Asparagus Tempura and the Crab Cake app - so good!! Minor comment on bread service - nice table side choice is offered, but they should reduce the variety and just include some amazing warm bread.
I had a wonderful time for my first visit at The Hadley. When you first walk in, right away you know the place special. The interior design, artwork, and decorating is absolutely beautiful. The staff is super friendly and attentive. All the food was delicious — my favorite dishes were The Hadley salad and the sea scallops. There is a great wine list and we tried one of the specialty drinks and it was unique and flavorful. The dessert was also to die for! The triple chocolate mousse was awesome. We were so full from dinner, but that dessert was so good, we ate it all! Thanks The Hadley team for a memorable date night. We will be back again!
So disappointed! The foie gras was minuscule, over cooked and poorly presented.
The host came over and asked how was the meal, when I indicated it was just ok, he went over to the next table. I guess his job was to ask not to care.
There are many fine restaurants in Philadelphia, it will take a miracle for The Hadley to join their ranks.
The five of us dined at The Hadley today and had a marvelous time. The mid-century decor was a delight. The service was extraordinary. The food was delicious. I will be back.
Very cool space with a novel ambiance. Food was good but nothing blew our minds. Service was a bit spotty, which is not uncommon for a place in its first several weeks of operation. Thought the drinks were a bit on the skimpy side. Will give this place another visit.
