   We dined here on many occasions under the previous ownership , with great on tap beers & wide selection of foods including healthier options , we were saddened to see it’s changing . There’s bottled & new local beers (Tonbridge brewery) which our group didn’t rate - where has Doom Bar gone ? My friends had already decided on food after looking online , sadly that was not the menu on the night . If you like chicken wings , burgers & more simple fishes it’s fine. If you want something a little more exciting or lighter then it’s prob not for you . The young staff are helpful , when you can get their attention . And be prepared for a wait for food , even when it’s not busy . And unfortunately on this occasion some tipsy youngsters being ill in the ladies didn’t help our evening . Thankfully the company was particularly good.

   Mid week lunch. Had been here a few years ago when it was terrible. Since then has had new ownership and refurb and was excellent. It feels like a country pub but in the middle of town. Would definitely go again.

   Very friendly efficient service - really engaging staff. Have had several meals here and always very good - the roast is delicious. Servings are plentiful, the food is piping hot and well presented. Couldn't manage a pudding ! And it's dog friendly - winner !

   Had several very positive reviews of the Guinea from my wife who had dined there several times. No complaints with the shared crab starter which was delicious. My main dish of chicken was served with gnocchi. This for some reason had been fried which may have worked if there had been accompanying flavouring but there was not so it added nothing to the meal - which disappointingly was a very beige plate of food. Some chips were provided on request to substitute the gnocchi. We shared a salted caramel cheesecake but I had a piece of paper in my share which was not too pleasant. Also we suspect the caramel was not a salted caramel but rather caramel with salt on top - giving bit too much of a salt hit. However the staff were fantastic and attentive. But my first visit was spoilt by the food quality.

   The ambience in The Guinae was very good, the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and the food creative, very tasty and more than enough. Unfortunately on the day there was an IT problem with the kitchen staff which caused a bit of a delay. The staff and quality of the food made up for it though. Will use it again.

   Very impressed with the Guinea since its refurbishment. Four of us went there for Sunday lunch and were universally impressed with the choice and quality of food on offer. One of our number suffers from Coeliac disease and was amazed that the Pub could offer most of the items on the menu Gluten free. To top it all, service was very friendly and efficient. Highly recommended and a very convenient location in the centre of Tunbridge Wells
