We intended to go for dinner but ended up just having an appetizer and splitting a flight and went elsewhere for dinner. The bruschetta was pretty good. Nothing else on the menu really jumped out at us for food. The bartender was super friendly and we had no issues, we were just in a more adventurous mood than what they had on the menu.
I was impressed with the quality of the food. Fresh, great flavor, great quality. Nice to get a good impression on your first time!
Good food and atmosphere along with solid service
Food and service was amazing. The noise level was a bit high for my liking, I do not enjoy the feeling of having to talk loudly at the diner table to be heard.
Cool place, but there are plenty of better places in my opinion.
These guys were so amazing. The food and wine were fabulous but they really went the extra mile for me. I forgot my ticket for the theater at home. Frantically I asked them for help. They printed them out for me and saved the day!!! So grateful!!!
Nice variety of food and took advantage of the happy hour pricing on wine. Services was excellent, wonderful location downtown.
The food was great as well as the mimosa options.
Great food, service and ambiance. Will be back!!!
By the glass wine list is notable. The food is always good. Service is satisfactory. This is our casual, neighborhood spot.
The good was outstanding, the drinks were great and the atmosphere is defiantly one to check out in Austin!
This place is a great spot for groups or date night! The ambiance is great and the outdoor seating is so beautiful. The only thing that was a bummer was I had asked for a frozen mango margarita and the server gave me a "melty"-glass-not-full margarita, and all the other tables that requested the same drink were all frozen and full to the brim. Besides that, everything was great!
Food took a little long to come out, but all good. It was worth it.
We had a Mother’s Day dinner and I was delicious
The food here was excellent. My only complaint is that our server was not that good. He asked us what we wanted to order and then promptly forgot some of the order and had to be reminded. We had to flag down other servers for refills. We had to flag down other servers to order coffee and dessert. We had to flag down other servers for to-go boxes. Simply not good service.
We always have a nice experience at the Grove. This time we requested a quiet table in the back of the restaurant and that request was not honored. Not sure the hostesses are reading the open table requests at this location. Also had a few mishaps with the waiter not getting the order correct. Overall still our favorite place as it is close to home and we love the menu choices.
Loved the patio!
Regular customer. Always a pleasant experience at the downtown Grove!
We just sat in the bar area to enjoy drinks and a couple appetizers. Great ingredients and presentation for the charcuterie board and ahi appetizer. Service was outstanding.
Went for Easter brunch and it was great! We’ve been several times just to have dinner and for special occasions and it doesn’t disappoint.
The Grove Wine Bar and Kitchen is the perfect place for a date night or a chill evening with friends. The atmosphere is very relaxed, especially if you sit outside. Our waitress was amazing and recommended a fantastic wine to us (the 2017 Paolo Scavino ). The food was also delicious as we started with Bruschetta and ended with main courses of the Red Fish on the Halfshell and the Porkchops. We can’t wait until we’re back in Austin so we can visit there again!
The salmon in the salmon salad was excellent and hot. The salad itself was soggy and tasted OK. The time between the appetizers and entrées overlapped. The server was very attentive
Bruschetta varieties you may never heard of before, but good nonetheless.
It was so easy to make reservations with opentable. The food ,sevice and wine at the grove was excellent. Can't wait to go back.
Our first opportunity for a patio seating since our move to downtown Austin. The weather was perfect! We went with some good friends and had a great time. Bonus - we found out that Monday night is 1/2 price wine by the glass! Perfect!
The food is ok and the place is nice.
This was my first time at the Grove. Food and wine was excellent. Service was top notch. The overall design is very nice. I will definitely be back and will recommend to anyone looking for a quality place to go downtown.
Great place for a glass of wine and appetizers before show at the Bass Concert Hall.
I can NOT get enough of this place!! It is one of my favorite brunch spots, but also fabulous for lunch and dinner. If you're out with friends, on a date, or just conducting business, you can't go wrong with this hot spot in Downtown Austin. My favorite brunch is the bruchetta flight paired with the mimosa flight! The wine list is extensive (hello, it's a WINE BAR!)
Great, energetic ambiance. Food was fantastic. Gluten free options as well. I will come back again.
Always enjoy our experience at the Grove! We make a very late reservation and often are the last to leave the facility. We never feel rushed or ignored. Excellent customer service!
Nice restaurant in Austin. It's attractive inside and also offers outside seating. It was our first time there and I was not wild about the food, but would give them a try again, because it was a good menu.
Totally unexpected for us to dine on an evening when the wines by glass were half off AND the bruschetta was also half off. We had an eclectic selection of different entrée and appetizer items and none of them disappointed. Will definitely recommend to other visiting the city of Austin. Cheers!
Really liked it. A+ for scenery. Great view of the creek. Nice downtown vibe. Excellent service. Fast but not too fast. "Fake" meat burger was a hit. Avocado gazpacho (sp?) was a nice surprise. The tofu wrap... a little less than a hit. A little light on the tofu... a little heavy on other things. Drinks managed to cover up any blemishes with the tofu wrap.
We sat on the patio on a beautiful Friday afternoon and you would never know you were on W 6th. The setting is beautiful and all you see is the foliage planted to block the street from the patio. The food was also good - my friend had the impossible burger and it was impossibly good! It really did taste like beef! I had the salmon salad that was fresh and delicious, and we shared the poke appetizer which was also really yummy. I would definitely come back to enjoy another glass of wine and a meal on the patio.
Loved their mimosas and the option to mix your own! We had a lovely brunch outside on their patio which was really nice. Solid brunch food - not spectacular but what you'd hope to get. Will definitely come back and planning to check them out for dinner sometime too!
Brunch was delicious and our server was great!
Creative delicious food. Wonderful tastes!
We are regulars and always have a pleasant experience at the Grove on 6th. Loved our waiter and were easily able to cash in our Open Table $25 reward card!
