    This was our first time dining at The Grove & it won’t be our last!! We dined outside & it was so beautiful & relaxing! Our waitress was very friendly & helpful. The food was delicious!!!

    Beautiful venue. Loved sitting outside with live music. Wait staff were very attentive, and quick. Food was very tasty. Imaginative menu. Loved the beef Wellington, escargot and crab cakes! Be sure to ask for a sauce for the crab cakes as it is served without.

    We went semi early to dine (6 pm). Some area were set up for special events. These events began while we were dining - absolutely no effect on services , atmosphere or food quality. We will be returning.

    We very much enjoyed the Grove. The food was delicious and our waiter was very friendly and efficient. The only thing I have negative to say about the evening is regarding Open Table, not the Grove. We received a confirmation of our reservation but when we arrived, they did not show a reservation for some reason. They found us a table anyway.

    We’ve dined at The Grove numerous times and even hosted events here. For this reservation, I specifically noted in the Special Request box on OpenTable, that were celebrating 2 birthdays along with one guest, recently completing chemo treatments for cancer. I expected, as with previous special dining occasions at The Grove, that the birthday guests would receive a birthday dessert. They did not and I asked our waitress if she read the reservation notes about the birthday celebrations and she said ‘No’. I was shocked and extremely disappointed. So much so, that I asked to speak to the manager. Josh, manger, did come to speak to me and heard my disappointment. He said it was his fault for not reading the Special Request notes but made NO apologies nor offered any discount on a future dining reservation. Again, extremely disappointed in The Grove Mgmt!! This is one of the best restaurants in Tyler and it may be our last due to their lack of attention to reservations and especially when confronted face to face. Totally disrespectful!

    My mom and I had a great time at dinner! Our waiter was very nice and helpful with recommendations. There was a couple of people with little kid that ran around outside but they didn’t bother us. We order the mini beef Wellingtons and they were delicious! We then split the steak and cake and they even prepared it into two separate plates. The steak was cooked just right and the crab cakes gave it a unique flavor. We then ended of the night with dessert. We tried the churros and tuxedo cake! They were both so good we couldn’t finish them so we took the rest home. We had an amazing experience and would definitely go back!

    Devine food! Sea bass and lamb chops is what we had. The white chocolate/blueberry cheesecake was absolutely incredible for dessert. No wait time, as we had reservations.

    Would have been useful if we were told what the “seasonal vegetable” was because most of the choices listed specifically side was asparagus. However I chose my meal to not include asparagus and ended up with asparagus.

    One of the best Grove experiences we've had. As you can see in other reviews, there is a lot of inconsistency with reviewer experiences. Most of the inconsistency seems to be related to the service. We found both the food and the service to be exceptionally good this visit. It was a Tuesday night and not busy. Our only complaint is the flies.

    I have been to the Grove several times for dinner and it is exceptional. Today was my first time for brunch. Unfortunately, it was completely average. No one at the table thought their food was better than unexceptional. Now I know, dinner only.

    I had been to The Grove before with my girlfriends and loved it. This was my husbands 88th birthday and his daughter and granddaughter had come from out of town to celebrate. We told the waiter it was his b-day but nothing was done. It was so loud we couldn’t even visit at the table! My husband got steak and eggs and he could not eat the steak because it was so tough. The shrimp and grits served very little grits and the shrimp were tough. No salad or vegetable with it. So very disappointing as it was such a special occasion.

    Hostess are very uncoordinated. Reserved an outside table. When we got there, outside tables were open, but they had us wait over 25 minutes for a table indoors? We told them we has ab outdoor reservation and they sat us outside right when we told them. All along, there was no need to wait over 25 minutes.. Food we mediocre for the price. Their menu and recipes are constantly changing. Their mashed potatoes were the best, but they changed the recipe for that as well..

    The noise level is horrible. We were placed by a huge party of 16-20 people. Everyone was basically yelling at each other just to try and have a conversation. We sat by the patio door where the wait staff were going in and out, and constantly leaving the door open. It was 100 degrees outside. Flys were rushing in, and stopping at the first table (us). I kept getting up and closing the door. The management would not have the patio open for dining in this heat. The food is always good and we will return, but I will be a bit picky about where we sit.

    We did a Sunday brunch, and the food was excellent. The service was not what I expected from one of the nicer and more expensive restaurants in Tyler. The server took my wife's drink order and walked away without asking anyone else if they wanted a drink. The server never asked if we wanted additional drinks or refills. We had to ask for simple things like dipping sauces for chicken and fries. The atmosphere was nice and too loud. However, the men's bathroom was very dirty. It appeared no one cleaned it after Saturday night. There was an empty cup sitting on the back of the urinal. The ground was visibly dirty with pieces of paper towels on the ground. The sink was dirty, and water was everywhere on the counter and floor. I felt like I was in a gas station bathroom. Overall, we were satisfied with our experience, but they need to provide a higher quality of service and cleanliness.

    Food was fantastic but our waiter didn’t bring plates to eat our appetizer and would disappear for 10-15 minutes so because of that my brother in law got one refill of tea at the very end of our meal.
