Loved our brunch! The outside dining was wonderful.
The Grove was an excellent dining experience in every way! Can’t wait to go back! It was a special night for my girlfriend and I. I proposed to her. The Grove was a perfect venue for this moment in our lives. We will remember this perfect night for always!
70th birthday celebration was a hit!
food and live music was very good. service was good and we will be back again
Excellent evening at The Grove. Food was amazing.
Great ambiance, great service, great food, great price!!!
Very nice place. Excellent food and great service.
food was great and the service was awesome. really enjoyed our time there and cannot wait to go back.
Food was excellent, service was great. The atmosphere is laid back. Just a cool place to spend an evening.
First time going here. Marked birthday when making reservations did not acknowledge it. The service was fast but not very personable. The bar and restaurant are beautiful had to ask our server about the place.
Waited 45 minutes for someone to take our order. Only received water during this entire time and servers seemed to ignore us as they served tables around ours. Very disappointing as it was our first time here.
Great food. Very instagrammable
Amazing service, beautiful location, outstanding food and stellar service. Can’t wait to come back
My husband and I enjoyed Sunday Brunch at The Grove in August 2020 (during COVID-19). Our food & drinks were delicious, ambience was fantastic. Service was a little slow, but the staff seemed to have paid great attention to Social Distancing Guidelines. Will be back for sure!
Our friends son’s eighth birthday. He loved it!
We celebrated our anniversary at The Grove. The scallops were fabulous and the chicken fried steak was delicious too. We went back the next night.
everything was good. waitress didnt come get us from the bar for our reservation. food was good no question but nothing stellar. ambience great. service was great. all good
Food was delicious! Great venue for any occasion.
The location is fabulous and the food and service matches it. A great selection of meals, all well prepared and delicious and a great drinks menu. The staff are all friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and the bar, restaurant and outside patio are all eclectic and great places to enjoy a fabulous meal.
The food was a bit lacking this time (ex. Burger over cooked...although I’m certain they would’ve brought another I asked). Also, I bragged about how beautiful the ladies room is to find it to be overly dirty. Overall my family and I enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere is fantastic. The service is nice.
We had a great time at my wife’s Birthday Dinner!!
It takes a lot for me to complain or leave a bad review but we were very disappointed in our recent experience at The Grove. We had an 8:30 reservation and we pleased we were able to be seated outside because the weather has been pleasant. The problem with sitting outside was that it was completely dark. The landscape lights were on but if you’re not seated by a tree, it is pitch dark. I had to have my cell phone light on the entire meal. It’s very simple to put a candle on each table. Everyone around us had to use their phone lights to read the menu and see their bills. While our server was friendly, the service was very very slow. A member of my party ordered a steak cooked medium and it was rare. We sent it back and it still came back undercooked. I was very disappointed in the whole experience. The Grove has such potential, however, we will not return.
Great staff and food. We loved the live entertainment.
We've enjoyed dining here inside. This trip, for my birthday, the bacon wrapped sea scallops were barely cooked. As a retired chef, I know how to cook scallops, & it was unacceptable, so we returned them. They were very good, but as expected, my entree got cold waiting for husband's scallops to return. This just sours the total experience. The manager deducted something off of our check and apologized, which was a very kind gesture.
great food and service and a great atmosphere, i would highly recommend it
My wife and I decided to drive down to Tyler from Texarkana on a Saturday for the day and I made reservations for brunch at The Grove. Not knowing much about it, I'm sure glad we tried it out. Upon entering the restaurant, we had a good vibe that we made a great choice. For an appetizer we chose the crab dip which was an excellent choice! For our entrees, my wife chose the Chilaquiles Verdes which was very good & tasty and I treated myself to the Shrimp & Grits which were as good as it gets! Overall, The Grove was an excellent place to enjoy our Saturday Brunch! Would definitely recommend!
Halibut and crab specials were both incredible. Xavier was a wonderful server. The new chef Arturo has made a huge difference.
My first time at The Grove.
The food was great!
I was seated next to the waiters work station, not the best seat in the house.
It was very load due to a birthday party gathering.
Looks like the best time to go is when it is cooler so you can enjoy the outside dining and music.
The bar area looked nice so I plan to stop by soon.
Will definitely go back for lunch or dinner. Everything was superb.
Two salads with blackened shrimp were very good. Two chicken fried steaks were not. They were out of sea bass. Prices were high for the meals, in my opinion. Patio area very nice. Could have used some stand up fans in the heat.
Food was good but the menu was much more limited than I expected.
Every thing was great... Music was perfect for a nice Sunday brunch... Went back again the following Sunday for more crab dip & drinks
My in-laws were visiting for the weekend. With the Covid thing there are very few places that we could go but we felt safe at the Grove with all the doors open although we did sit on the inside of the patio. Everyone greatly enjoyed their lunch
Went for the first time for Sunday brunch. Food would be good, but Sola Bread just isn't. We had a starter of the brushetta and then my entree was the smoked salmon & egg salad toast. The breads from each dish were tough & stale and unevenly cut to give an unfair amount of food for the price.
Service was also lacking, server was clearly hungover, unprofessional, and very inattentive. 3 different people attended to us aside from our main server, who only checked up on us twice during our stay. Someone else brought out our food and we had to flag down a manager to get drink refills, a priority since we were sitting outside where it was quite warm.
The only thing drawing me back is the pristine ambiance and cocktail menu. So I would come back for the bar, but not the restaurant.
Please strive to do better.
We arrived and were seated immediately by the nice host. Some, but not all customers were wearing masks when they left their tables to socialize or head to the bar or bathroom. All staff wore masks. We were seated on the patio and had a great view of the evenings entertainment as well as the TVs and the beautiful night sky.
Our server Michael was attentive and professional. Our first course (mini beef Wellington’s) came to us in a timely matter but was warm, almost cool to the touch. Unfortunately the meat inside was too rare for this dish. I love a bloody steak but with a bite sized piece of meat and the type of cut used in the dish, it needs to be cooked at least medium. I bit into it and had a hard time tearing the meat apart. The mushrooms on the plate (love the type of shrooms they used) were not hot either. The sauce they were cooked in was great! Loved the unique and edible garnish but both of our first bites were so disappointing we did not continue. Michael took the dish off the bill and apologized profusely. We got a visit from the manager as well and he offered us free dessert.
The rest of the meal was cooked nicely and everything tasted good not great. Classic approaches to the typical new American elevated dining menu. My husband had the chicken fried steak and I had the bacon wrapped scallops. The bacon wasn’t cooked very well so it kind of unwound from the scallops limply..the sauce was fantastic and the scallops were a little over cooked but not rubbery. Would have loved the dish without the bacon. Too heavy for summer anyway in my opinion.
A tiny bit more light would have been nice. Maybe a small candle or lamp on the table? It was pretty dark out there! Not a make or break detail but I mentioned this bc it could step the ambiance up just a tad! That patio is great. We will probably revisit next time we visit Tyler. We won’t expect a reinvented wheel on the menu, but will look forward to the beer, great service and wonderful patio.
Disappointed w the service ☹️
Great atmosphere, food and service!!
A great meal as always despite all the extra precautions required due to COVID, everyone was pleasant and courteous as would be expected.
Great date place. Food was very good. The live music was also very good. Would go back.
I enjoyed my birthday lunch! I was visiting Tyler and this was recommended by google. This was a great place and the service was wonderful. The food was awesome and I love the place! I will return when I visit again!!!
