The Grove Savannah
Serving lunch, dinner & late night drinks daily.
Great for groups!
I got a sandwich with mayo, eggs, bacon, lettuce and tomatoes. And overall, it was OKAY, bread was waaaaayyyy too greasy and I couldn’t finish eating the sandwich because I knew it would give me a stomach ache. Seems like they sprayed butter on it to toast it or something. Kinda messed it up for me.
My two friends had 2 different plates, a veggie burger and a chicken biscuit sandwich; they both enjoyed their food.
The rooftop is a must do, but the outside seating is very dirty. We tried to pick the least dirty one to sit on, but overall it was a nice ambiance.
We made reservations for 8...for 6pm...on Christmas parade night. While my husband and I and our two sons (ages 13 and 4) had been sightseeing already for a couple hours, we simply walked right up at 6pm, no problem. My friend and her boys, however, were trying to arrive right at 6...they didn't show up until 7 because of parade route roadblocks and ZERO parking left anywhere closeby. The restaurant staff was extremely understanding about this, moreso than I could have possibly expected. Once we ordered our food, it was out promptly and was very good. For appetizer we had the southern caviar dip and chips and it was VERY good (if you like or dont mind your food a bit spicy). For the main course, I had chicken tacos and brussel sprouts. Chicken tacos were good, but the brussel sprouts were amazingly good. I also had a drink...I think it was called the Whittaker... and it was very very good). My husband had the succotash and said it was very good. My eldest son got the chicken sliders and he said they were pretty good. My youngest son had the chicken fingers and fries and like them as well. My only real complaint is that it was LOUD. There really wasnt very many in there (maybe half capacity) when we arrived, yet it still was almost unbearably loud. We were yelling to hear each other, even sitting side by side. Part of it was the TV at the bar, but a lot of it was just customer voices without any kind of sound dampening tactics in place. There were no acoustic tiles and it was pretty open in there. If they employed some way of reducing the level of noise, it would be the perfect restaurant. I still would recommend this restaurant, unless you have a noise-sensitive guest in your party.
Good food, good service. Relaxed environment
It wasn't what I expected. I found the seating uncomfortable and the place was very noisy. The food was OK but nothing memorable.
The restaurant was a slight disappointment. While I can't say that any one thing was wrong, nothing stood out as exceptional. The service, the food and the atmosphere was all okay. The rooftop bar looked to be the most appetizing, unfortunately, we didn't have time to experience. I will give the Grove another visit when I have time to explore the roof top bar.
We really loved it. Unpretentious and fun. Food was wonderful! Cocktails very nice. The staff great.
Our server was fantastic and the food was wonderful!
Great food, wonderful service, food came out in a timely manner
Service was good, we were seated in a small room next to a large party, however, and it was hard to hear due to the noise echo.
Reservation for two couples and had a nice evening but would have liked the noise level/music a little lower to hear each other in conversations. Cocktails were excellent as usual but was missing a vegetarian option on the menu this time.. Our waiter Brian was attentive and helpful and we will go again.
Food was good, just so noisy it's hard to enjoy your meal. I don't mind music, or some noise this restaurant is just more than typical. Nicely decorated and great food, just slightly overshadowed by the sound.
Blackened Grouper tacos were very good but I think they forgot the Blackening. Still good. Husband had a very different club sandwich, very filling. Fun atmosphere. We will go back!
Food was delicious. Very cute restaurant. Great for a fun dinner spot.
Just a great place. Well worth the visit. Great food, great times, beautiful place. Best brunch in Savannah. Bonus - late night weekends becomes the hottest club in Savannah!
It was ladies night out to celebrate a birthday and we had a great time. It was nice and cozy for us to lounge and talk. I would suggest the music be a little lower for people trying to conversate. We hated how small the restroom was and needed some attention. The food was good for the price. They did a wonderful job dressing up the birthday ladies' dessert with Happy Birthday. I will definitely return.
Started with the rooftop bar which is worth showing up early for. Bartenders and staff were friendly and engaging. Drinks were all around well received by our group of 8.
Everyone loved their meals.
We were so pleased with our visit at the grove!!! Such a beautiful place to spend our day trip to Savannah at!
Excellent food. Had the bacon wrapped shrimp...yummm! And the burgers were delicious as well. cooked to order. just right and tasty. will definitely be back next time we're in Savannah!
shame we didn't know about the quiz night going on in the restaurant as would have picked a different date to visit. Food was ok, as the service, both could have been better. Was a nice place and sadly didn't have time to visit the rooftop bar that looked to be rather good.
Fantastic- elegant, historical, amazingly cooked food, nice ambiance
Great food, reasonably priced, good service
First time there. Good was ok just not real flavorful for our tastes. Great service.
Love this place! The sweet potato salad is really good and the restaurant is very cute.
Breakfast club was delicious!
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Will definitely return!!
Limited menu on the patio bar. Good view!
Pretty place. Good place to go together with friends.
A little disappointed in this one. Took a long time to get our drinks and the food wasn’t what I hoped it would be. Service was slow.
A lively environment with a simple menu including vegan options. Great place to engage and be around others. A bit loud so not for a relaxing meal. Overall, an enjoyable time with plenty of people watching.
Everything was excellent!! The portions were large and the staff was very friendly.
Great food and beverages! The atmosphere was nice, the location was great, and the cocktails were superb. They have a great happy hour deal. Our party of 4 went out for a kid-free evening and each got very different dishes plus a few small plates to share - each was delicious! Our waitress was very kind, knowledgeable, and seemed to know when we needed something without us having to ask.
Food was so tasty! We got the Grand Mule and it was awesome! Polite, helpful staff. Enjoyed our visit but would've preferred the music wasn't quite as loud.
Great spot, food is very good, cocktails good, service for brunch was a bit slow but we didnt much care.
Bachelorettes take this place over on weekend nights (Fri/Sat). It's an excruciating experience due to noise level. Service also suffers due to many large parties. Food is acceptable nothing spectacular. Rooftop bar is nice, if it's open. Was closed for a private event when we went
Left after 15 minutes and no server came to table. Extremely loud inside. Did not get food but will try another time. Need to address service and noise issues.
When I walked in I was greeted by the trivia night guy. The hostess walks up and trivia guy says you gonna play? I said I don’t think so and he says “don’t talk to me anymore”. I almost walked out but decided to stay. They sat me away from everyone on the right side but I just went with it. Waitress was nice but came by like 3 times all night. The food though was excellent. One of the better meals I have had in some time. A word of advice, don’t let trivia guy cost you service. It almost did with me.
I visited this restaurant twice in one month and the experience was excellent each time. I was lucky to get the same waitress on both visits and she gave awesome customer service and really was attentive to the needs of my table guest. I would recommend this restaurant as a must visit for both brunch and dinner.
This was my first time at The Grove. I wish I would’ve read reviews before I made my reservation; it was so loud in the restaurant that it was hard to carry on a conversation. It’s one thing to be loud after 9 but we sat at 7p. Appetizers were great but my burger was over cooked. I would likely go back to sit at the rooftop.
The Grove is a nice restaurant with good food and service. Can’t wait to go back.
