My dining experience at the grove was better I have anticipated, some of the farm-to-table cuisine options are great, and it was a refreshing journey through locally sourced flavors. The menu highlighted seasonal ingredients, creating a vibrant and diverse culinary palette. The elegant but approachable ambiance perfectly complemented the ethos of farm-fresh dining. The attentive staff provided insights into the origins of each ingredient, adding a layer of connection to the food. Overall, The Grove stands out as a beacon of sustainability and culinary excellence, making it a must-visit for those who appreciate the true essence of a contemporary farm-to-table dining.

We were fortunate to be sat at the kitchen chef’s table (bar) as one of our guests was a 12yr old who has significant interest in becoming a chef someday. The team was wonderful in every aspect. They interacted with us and chef Deborah even gave our little guy a white Toque for his enjoyment and his excitement was palpable. Colin took great care of us. Will be back for sure. Quote from the kids “that was the best meal I’ve ever had”. Memorable for sure. Thank you again.

Vegan choices on a Prix Fixe? Yes, and thank you! Every course had a vegan option and I must say the Lion's Mane Steak was fabulous, albeit a little spicy, but that's just me cause I have a sensitive tummy. However, that did not stop me from eating it!

The Grove was outstanding! We went for brunch (party of 4) and were impressed by the variety and creativity of the menu - including the brunch cocktails. Everyone there showed a genuine passion for their craft and were the epitome of hospitality. The restaurant had recently been remodeled and it is beautiful - I loved the color palate. It was also fun to visit the Chuck Williams museum upstairs and to check out the garden. We will definitely return next time we’re in Napa.

The Restaurant Week meal was exceptional. The Little Gem salad and Rib-eye steak were excellent. The only disappointment was the parking. The lot was full including across the street. Our guests couldn't find a place to park.

The excitement and buzz of the surroundings added to our investment in the happenings of the restaurant. We intend to dine here again as well as take part in the classes. Thanks for a great night.

Our first time eating here, glad we made the trip there!! Beautiful grounds, great service and amazing food! My sons and I cleaned our plates and still crave more of that griddled focacia and cheese side dish! Loved the variety for restraunt week and great pricing. Everything was so amazing. We will absolutely be back!

We had a fantastic meal at The Grove. The food, service, and atmosphere were all perfect. Because it was Restaurant Week, we ordered from the prix fixe menu. Because there were two or three options per course, our family of three was able to sample everything. We will be back!

The food was delicious (except for the lime sorbet) for the pre-set menu for restaurant week. Delightful ambience. Noise a little too loud for easy conversation but OK. Service was horrible but we mentioned the issues to someone who looked in charge and it improved immediately. We had a jolly time.

Overall, Grove is a lovely place in an inspiring environment that needs improvement in food and service to go beyond just a learning environment. Reviewing the Grove at Copia requires an understanding of the full experience. The upstairs culinary museum, the lovely culinary store, and the beautiful culinary gardens set the context for your dining experience. The restaurant ambiance is cozy and welcoming, with plenty of service people available. Now the menu, which was the Napa Dining Week tasting menu. Both salads were fresh from the garden, well well-balanced in size and amount of ingredients. The herbal dressing on the Insalata Misticanza was fragrant but not overpowering. Fabulous. My Stemple Creek Grilled Ribeye, with arugula salsa verde, bodega red potato confit, and dijon vinaigrette was perfectly cooked, nicely sliced but over-salted. My wife's Lion’s Mane Mushroom, charred leeks, walnut cream, and truffled mushroom jus was a culinary experiment gone wrong. Lion's Mane is a delicate variety, unlike a beefy Portabella. So, Lion's Mane was reduced to a soppy lump, which they doused with a soy sauce reduction and many more leeks than mushroom. We asked for more mushrooms but the next batch was the same, a soft lump overwhelmed with soy sauce reduction. For dessert, we tried Torta Caprese flourless chocolate cake, coffee cream, and dark chocolate ganache which was served ice cold and needed to be at least room temperature to allow the chocolate to melt in our mouths. I had the Trio of Seasonal Sorbetto mandarin, lime, and pomegranate, which was served as a lump of two in a bowl (where was the mandarin?), rather than a distinct trio. The Maître d' provided a recovering surprise with a creative honeycomb of bread filled with interesting cheeses and a fabulous 20-year-old Tawny Port. Our server was very nice but did not seem well-versed in the food or wine descriptions (when you are in Napa, knowing which AVA a wine is from is a relevant question).

Overpriced, disgusting food, served poorly. Wine pairings were late. Kitchen ran out of menu items before 7pm. Had to ask for more water. Dishes brought without serving utensils. Steak knives placed for fish. 2 glasses of standard wine for $40 as part of pairing. Not our first experience at CIA, but will most likely be our last.

I was excited to go to The Grove after learning that they had a new chef. The service was lovely and attentive. I did the restaurant week special. The salad was not interesting, it just seemed like a spring mix was thrown together with some herbs. The steak was good but both dishes were over salted. The desert was the best-a cheese cake with cherries. However, I did not feel the meal was a good value. They even charged for a serving of bread and the restaurant week menu came with a list of "add-ons".

Restaurant week, pre set menu. When we (2 of us) arrived they tried to seat us in the entry way at a long table by the bar. It looked like a communal table. The main dining room had tables available, so I asked to be moved to the main dining room, they moved us. We ordered wine, it took longer than it should to get the wine. The first course, bread, arrived and was ok. After an hour of waiting, I asked the server what was the problem. She said the kitchen was over-whelmed. Ok, I get it. But a pre-set 3 course menu of bread, salad, entree. I asked to speak with manager and while we waited, the server tried to serve us gnocchi. Gnocchi was not even on our menu for the evening. The manager came over and listened to our complaints and said we can go. She did not offer to solve the problem, just gave us an out. We left, not eating dinner. We moved here to Napa in April, and this was our first time dining here. Having many years in the restaurant business, I thought that this was appalling especially for Copia. I am not sure I will ever go back, let alone recommend this restaurant to friends or family....well, the bread was good.

We had a lovely Brunch. The food was delicious- especially the Galette! Service was outstanding and servers and all staff were welcoming and helpful when we had questions. There was absolutely NO push for us to be in a hurry, and we lingered for a while enjoying our delicious food. The new decor was elegant and very peaceful. We had the pleasure of speaking with the Executive Chef, which was a delight, and we will surely return. Staff were very informative about all that is available at CIA at Copia in Napa, including a working student kitchen upstairs. This is a must see. We were told that we could enter, even if there were chefs working. What a thrill! I look forward to hearing about upcoming events, even though I live about 90 minutes away. It is a wonderful experience.

Went on New Years Eve. They had a pre-fix menu. The food was surprisingly awful. Broccoli with peas and rockfish were super salty. Cocktails and desserts were the only ones that were decent. It’s very sad because we dined there before and the food was very good.

We took servers recommendations on how we ordered. Staff was all very helpful, friendly, and went out of their way for us. Hors d’oeuvres, was a beautiful blend of garden vegetables and we added the Scallops and calamari fantastic! I ordered the only steak menu and it was cooked beautifully! For dessert we ordered empanadas and let me tell you Oh my goodness!

Salad was drenched in a creamy sauce. Beef sandwiches were cooked at varied consistencies. Egg dish was undercooked. Food was bad all around. Service was just fair.
