I had been to CIA Copia once before and it was mediocre. This time the Management and the New Chef Sayed have changed the property and made it spectacular. A true joy. Our server John was attentive and informative. The food was great and was the ambiance. We will definitely go back for both Lunch and Dinner. My only suggestion to improve the experience is "ADVERTISE". People in Napa need to know about this previously hidden Gem. The Spice Garden is wonderful also. John our server was perfect--attentive but not overly involved. Chef Sayed came out when I asked him to. He described how he is developing espirit d'corps with his staff and working out new Mediterranean Menu items. I had talked with one of the other Servers and she raved about the experience working there since they reopened in July. Overall, I great experience at one of the best restaurants in Napa. Go. Enjoy. Eat.

Food and staff were great. Great selection of local wines that doesn’t overwhelm someone who isn’t a connoisseur. The chef came and spoke to us after we finished, which was a nice touch to end the experience. I would definitely recommend and go back for more.

I love the ambiance, the organic garden in front. Though we had brunch, my in-laws love the food. My husband enjoyed the burger. I had a little bite and the patty was tender & juicy. Overall my family enjoyed the food. We would like to try the dinner next time we visit Napa.

We had dinner at the Grove on a weekday evening. The restaurant was full. Clearly the wait staff could have used some help but they did a great job, although dinner did take longer than usual. For starters, the crispy lamb ribs and the Maitake Mushroom were both excellent. The swordfish kebab with couscous was also very good. They have a new pasta dish with artichoke and fava beans that was exceptional.

Did not like the pre-fixe option served. Very expensive for what we got. The shrimp ceviche was good. But then it went south. The snapper was lacking flavor and firmness for fish tacos. Some fish pieces had so many bones to contend with. Toppings severely lacking with no fresh vegetables or crunch. Regular rice and beans. Drinks weren’t that good either. Won’t be back.

Appetizer shrimp: OK, nothing special. Min course snapper tasteless, tortilla awful. Desert not tasty. Coconut Carajillo: very good, but it was primarily ice with little fluid.

The location is convenient while parking can be challenging as it shares the parking lot with Oxbow. The food was ok but the service was very poor. It might be just services are declining everywhere since the pandemic started. Our servers were not attentive, they didn’t seem to know what needs to be done (if they bother to take away our plates after the first course, they should give us new plates before the second course arrives)… It’s a poor overall experience and I don’t plan to come back.

The food was very good with unique flavors. The feast option is something you don't often see and was a nice dining feature. The service as amateurish at best; maybe the trainee chefs are uncommitted/trained waiters, or maybe just a sign of covid stafing times. Our waiter disappeared for long periods of time. Our first courses arrived before the wine, which in my book is cardinal rule #2 never to happen (rule#1 never have an empty water glass). The wine list was limited and had to opt for the best to find something drinkable. The lack of service made the whole experience less than desired despite the good food.

The Maitake Mushroom and Crispy lamb ribs are our favorite "small plates" and are big enough to share. Chef frequently adds new items to the menu. Yesterday we had the swordfish kebab and pasta with artichoke and they were excellent. There's no nicer setting in Napa than dining outside at the Grove.

It started off great. The atmosphere were was fun and lively. We placed our drink order followed by our food order a couple minutes later. All of our food (appetizers and entree) came out within 3 minutes of us ordering. We hadn't even received our cocktails yet. It was obvious that the food wasn't cooked fresh. It was either under a heat lamp or broiler as the dishes themselves were scalding, but the food was lukewarm. Our waitress did her best to course correct by offering sparkling wine and dessert, but we had high expectations going into the CIA and were unfortunately let down. I wouldn't recommend anyone visiting based off our first experience there.

Seating in the garden is beautiful. Service was very good, with the exceptions of the recommendations, but it may have been an off day for the kitchen. The chicken and waffles and chilaquiles were highly recommended by our server but both were disappointing. Nothing special about the waffle and the chicken was plain and underwhelming. Both were comparable to frozen food options from a supermarket. The breakfast burger is over priced and no where near worth it. The chilaquiles were very lazy put together. Pretty sure the chips were store bought and there was very little else going on. Minimal mushrooms and other ingredients. Half assed. The eggs Benedict were also below par. Burnt bread and the spicy peppers were not listed on the menu and our kids couldn’t eat it. I wish the server had mentioned it before… over all, I expected so much more and it fell short. Disappointed.

Went for a tasty Mother's Day Brunch but left disappointed. Ordered the Chicken and Waffles...chicken strips were dry and lacking flavor, while the waffles were even drier, and was accompanied with huge pieces of pickled fried green tomatoes, and a spicy berry compote which I assume was their attempt to pawn the dish off as Mediterranean, both of which were "interesting" at best. Egg Benedict was tasty, but the stinginess of the portion with only 1 slice of benedict toast vs. two (but it is called "Classic Benedict Toast" not "Toasts" on the menu), was where my disappointment lied; at least they filled up the plate with 4 pieces of asparagus as wide and long as two thick Expo markers stacked one on top of another. Kimchi Croque Madame definitely had a flavor punch of kimchi, which unfortunately left me with palate fatigue less than halfway in. Items that DID leave me singing with glee was the Shakshuka, Brulee Milk Bread (dessert), and our server, but unfortunately not enough to warrant a 45-min drive from the East Bay for a repeat visit. Hopefully my husband will get a better experience for Father's Day somewhere local.

The Sunday Night Supper is a great idea. However, the pricing was strange. Initial marketing was $45, sign in at Open Table $56, final bill $70 ( $13 for a Margarita was fine). If you want to make this a tradition, don’t run your prices like that. The appetizer was not worthy. The entre of meat was EXCELLENT and if you offer it again, we would come!! Thank you

The menu on the night we went was shrimp aguachile and wagyu fajitas. The shrimp aguachile was nothing like any aguachile I have ever had. The juice it was in was purple in color but had no recognizable flavor. I expected to taste lime but it was lacking (which may have contributed to a more raw look and feel than most aguachile or ceviche dishes). Because of that, the shrimp aguachile did not get eaten. The wagyu itself was okay but the rest of the dish was slightly boring and tasted almost like the uninspired fajitas you would get as a chain Tex-Mex restaurant. The flan and drinks were pretty good, however. Maybe we just came on an off night. I would not spend 65/plate on this meal again.

It was ok. We waited over 10 minutes after seating before anyone came to our table, when she did come she took our drink and food order at the same time. I feel it’s always nice to order drinks, get them and then place your food order. Our servers appearance was not great and she seemed very frantic. The food was not what we expected. The appetizer said fire roasted but it was absolutely smoked and the flavor was very off putting. Our risotto unfortunately had a few pieces of something like a shell in it. The chef came over to apologize and they did comp us the dish which was very nice and appreciated. The desserts were amazing and we did get an extra glass of wine which was a nice gesture. Overall we were disappointed but they did do their best to make it right which I truly appreciate.

Unfortunately heavy salt use took away the pleasure of multiple dishes. Outdoor tables ambience was wonderful. Don’t miss the upstairs culinary museum. $10 bread was underwhelming. Cultured and salty butter was not pleasing to most of the party. Pasta dish was too heavy creamy/cheesy. Braised beef was excellent despite salt load. Brined Green Walnut was excellent on the cheese plate . Asparagus was excellent. Persian rice suffered from the salt load. Scallops were excellent. Very interesting use of spicing and seeds on various dishes

I would have given 5 stars except for one thing. When we ordered two share plates/appetizers (party of 4) and our entrees at the same time, we all assumed the share plates would come first with a break, and then the mains. Unfortunately, they bring everything at once, which led to not being able to enjoy each dish on it's own merit without getting cold. Also, as a result of doing it this way, there was hardly any room on the table and we had to move things around to accommodate it all. I think the waitstaff should definitely ask if patrons would like a break in-between courses. After all, culinary presentation and quality is the main thing here, right? Food itself was excellent. Service was a bit disappointing. Constantly searching for our waiter.

Needed more servers. The floor manager (Jose?) was wonderful, but our own server wasn’t hardly around. Other than that, food was good. It was our second time there and I brought my friend this time to celebrate her birthday. We were greeted with a mimosa to celebrate her birthday which was a nice, personal touch.
