Bold flavors. California-inspired cuisine. The Grove at Copia is the signature restaurant from The Culinary Institute of America right in the heart of downtown Napa. The menu is inspired by the bounty of our gardens. The vibe is relaxed, whether you’re here for a special occasion dining experience or a casual meal out.

Open Wednesday–Saturday, 5–9 p.m. and Sunday 5–8 p.m. for dinner.

Weekend Brunch available Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

We received the incorrect items more than once and it wasn’t particularly busy. Dishes were good, but not very good/great.

I took my husband to Copia and we had a marvelous dinner for Father's Day! Each bite was surprisingly unique, beautiful presentation, and the ambience was casually elegant. Service was attentive and fun (Marianne was our waitress) and the chef's menu outstanding. I had dined in once before and it was also terrific.

My spouse and I wanted to try this Culinary Institute of America restaurant after enjoying dinner at Greystone in Napa Valley. The facility is impressive and multiuse. The Grove at Copia entrance is through a garden and occupies a portion of this huge building with an open kitchen and both indoor and outdoor seating that is quiet and tasteful. We enjoyed focaccia and salad followed by either carbonara or their signature oxtail ragu, accompanied by great wines. Our server Megan and the hostess Rachel were very helpful in making sure we were attended and satisfied, and suggested strolling through the Williams Culinary Museum after dinner. They even provided a complimentary splash of the wines we were drinking to carry while viewing the exceptional museum collection!

Copia is a beautiful, calm, professional experience. The wait staff are friendly and upbeat. The setting is impeccable. It’s lovely to see the gardens outside and the art all around. I had the highest expectations for the food and sadly was disappointed. I got the latke for brunch and it was surprisingly bitter. I don’t know what went into it, but it wasn’t very good. I usually return food when I don’t like it, but I was so very, very hungry and the salmon and veggies on top were fine so I ate much of it. My friend and I were there to celebrate both our birthdays, and it was very sweet – – they brought us some Prosecco to celebrate. The coffee was great. I’m just so sorry I didn’t enjoy the food! One other thing to note: it is chilly in the restaurant as well as outside. This is mid June and it was still quite chilly. Bring a jacket or sweater… You won’t be sorry. They do have blankets however in case you forget.

Beautiful and comfortable decor. Wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable. Music was appropriate and not too loud. Focaccia bread and leafy crisp green salad was superb. A few greens I was unfamiliar with so enjoyed experiencing something new. Pacing of courses was perfect, not too fast and not too slow. The two desserts we had, strawberry mousse and cardamon panne cotta were perfectly flavored and had pleasant textures. A real delight.
