   Whilst the food and coffee is generally great. And I do love going to the grounds. I found today even though we booked and got there at 8:30am it was already busy. They took our coffee order on arrival. But didn’t come to take our food order for a further 30 minutes. (9:00) following on our breakfast came out another 30 minutes later. Quick given the circumstances, although my child’s meal was cold along with a few other items on plates including bacon. Making it like I was chewing cold greasy leather. (9:30 at this point) 15 minutes later we had servers coming to our table trying to rush us out because they needed the table.

   Expensive for what it is food wise. Crowded. Slow service. Got coffees waited 25 minutes for cakes. Very overrated would not recommend

   We arrived and were seated in good time. However, when we placed our order (there were 5 adults), we were told that 2 of the meals we ordered were not available. The menu was not particularly extenstive, so I literally had to settle for a bowl of chips and a smoothie. After our meal we went for a walk and saw the animals which the 4 toddlers enjoyed. Then we went to see the bird which is in another area. We were basically told that we weren't supposed to go in there if we hadn't ordered a meal in there. The fact that we'd paid a lot of money for a 'just ok' meal in the cafe didn't seem to matter. Other than this, we enjoyed seeing the snow white display. This was very beautifully done.

   Excellent breakfast and service. I couldn't fault it. It was very good value for money.

   Cafe was great - food delicious - quick service despite being busy ! A little loud but overall a good experience.

   A good experience entirely ruined by the lack of accessibility. Baby change is in the men’s toilets. Not only is this the poorest of planning, the toilet were filthy dirty, foul smelling and the change table unsteady and frankly disgusting. When questioned why this was the case staff were blunt and unconcerned yet every man in the queue for the same bathroom was horrified. The changes made to the outside areas meant we could no longer walk around with our pram. Having one exit and entry point made the Laneway overcrowded and uncomfortable and at certain points massively over full. No one with a wheelchair or pram can comfortably use your facilities any more which is a shame as the food was great and it used to be one of our favourite breakfast spots. I am very keen to understand how The Grounds can justify the complete lack of accessibility. We won’t return.

   Can’t fault the food or coffee, it’s all great. On this occasion they didn’t have salmon and had to substitute it with bacon but everything was still delicious.

   The Grounds of Alexandria is my favourite cafe to visit when I come to Sydney, but is it getting busy and this is not without its down points. There is very often a large crowd, and navigating your way through all the Insta snappers can be tedious. On today’s visit, the service was excellent, as is the usual experience. Everyone from the lemonade man to the parking attendants to security and the servers - they were all friendly, efficient and welcoming. The food - came out in reasonable time given how busy it was, but our fries and my dory sandwich were pretty much cold. Usually I’d say the food is excellent, today it was average. The Snow White theme is pretty, well worth a look. I bought some roses from the florist, they’re beautiful and were well presented. The thing I least enjoy about this venue is the toilets. They’re dark/not well lit and not very clean. The seat in the middle stall was only hanging on by one screw and when sat on, slid off the porcelain bowl.

    Overall pretty good. The food was good, but we got there at 3pm and a lot of the cakes were sold out, but the one we ordered was still good. So tip for anyone going is to go earlier than we did.
