Welcome to The Grounds, we look forward to serving you at our beautiful restaurant. The name The Grounds comes from our locality in Kilmore, merging both the fishing grounds and farming grounds. We strive to bring you the finest elegant dishes from both the sea and land.

We are a family run business that is passionate about our guests experience; the food, the drinks, the service and of course the atmosphere. We look forward to welcoming you in soon!

We cater for larger group bookings, to discuss these please call us on 053 9129565. In order to provide the best service possible large groups over 10 will attract a 10% service charge.

    Excellent starter and main course special was delicious and good value for money. Nice attentive service . Found music was a bit intrusive and a strange choice . Overall a lovely experience and will be back and recommend to others.

    Food was excellent- top quality. Staff very friendly. Only drawback i felt was the deserts - not your usual selection ie cheesecake- apple tart etc.... there was nothing to tempt us - we will be back.

    It was our first time eating here and we were delighted with the Menu and beautiful flavours . The service was impeccable and it is a lovely Venue for some fine dining. Beautiful wines too.

    Lovely room and friendly staff. Very generous portions. Seasoning on aubergine starter was lacking, and one of the side dish ordered didn’t make it to the table, and we had to request it be removed from the bill.

    Lovely place to eat, food was gorgeous (fish tacos 🤤) service is excellent and deserts are soooo nice. Definitely will be back
