The Grille at Westborough Country Club is a cozy, inviting eatery that serves classic American fare in a casual setting. Fantastic starter options, such as the coconut shrimp with a rum dipping sauce and the cheese-loaded nachos, are sure to get your taste buds warmed up. The Grille’s popular entrée meals include the surf ‘n’ turf combo meal, composed of a 4-oz filet, scallops and shrimp, all amazingly prepared, as well as the hearty vegetable risotto and the Yuengling-battered fish and chips. If a burger is what you crave, The Grille at Westborough Country Club has a juicy variety available, such as the sunshine burger, topped with American cheese, bacon and an over-easy egg and the blue cheese burger with brown sugar-caramelized onions.
The Grille at Westborough Country Club is a wonderful dining destination whether you have just stepped off the green or not.
Too many kids running around. Flatbread special ok, clam chowder was good. Waited for a long time finally a waiter came over and asked if we were taken care of, we said no, he took our table. Food was just ok.
The Grille at Westborough Country Club shines for it's delicious food, relaxed ambiance and excellent wait staff. I have dined here several times for lunch and also dinner with the girls and we have always enjoyed our meals.
Service was extremely poor. We received the wrong glass of wine. The took back the wrong one, and never brought us the correct one until after our meal was finished. Food was Ok. We will not be going back
This was our third visit and the only disappointing thing is they took the awesome sandwiches off the menue
Food was great, will be back soon..Great overall dining experience.
My whole meal was good that is until I ordered my coffee at the end. My coffee was cold, when I tried to get the witresses attention it took a while and then when she did warm the cup up it was still cold. Once again I could not get her attention. I finally went to find her to tell her. She was nice and offered to make a fresh pot for me but by that time I was aggrivated and did not want a cup.
I want the Grille to succeed--it has a nice family/community atmosphere. The drinks were terrible (flavorless, watered down? ), some of the food was good (short ribs) but the service is just horrible. I mean really horrible. Seems like there are plenty of people working there but the wait staff needs a serious overhaul.
Staff was nice, helpful and efficient .. Location is great nice upgrades inside.
My roasted chicken was great. My husband Philly steak burrito was weird. we were there for Tuesday night kids each free. Love that! Kids food and menu was great, not just Mac and Cheese.
We love they serve Jack's Abby.
They are stil lnew so I am sure the overall rate of good will go to Excellent soon.
The deck was very crowded and the band very loud. It was mainly for the younger crowd. I asked for a hot plate for my Prime Rib, and the Chef would not allow it, "for liability reasons". Consequently the food was cold. The Rib was meager and way over cooked. I asked for Med/rare and it came out well done. The meat was tough!
Fantastic food, reasonable prices, very friendly wait staff, live music Sat night! It was great we will be back!!
This is my second time dining here. Both experiences were the same. The food was amazing but the restaurant was too busy to adequately serve it's diners. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks. It took 1 1/2 to get our food. The waitress kept apologizing which made us feel bad for her. The first time we visited on valentines day we experienced a 30 minute wait before we were even greeted. Basically, the food is great but plan on waiting.
The Grille at Westborough's Country Club is a wonderful addition to our town. The new deck is the perfect spot for a summer meal or to meet a friend for a drink.
Waite staff was very attentive. Very, very loud band playing in dining room. Decided to eat outside on the new deck and it was enjoyable.
Food was tastie, but portions were smaller than expected. It was a pleasant experience and we would go there again.
We went for outdoor luncheoning on the deck. Atmosphere was very pleasant, as was the server. However, service was extremely slow, and it wasn't busy. Food was good but overpriced.
We'd go back in good weather on a day when we wished to wile away the time.
Food very good especially the clam chowder. Steak tips add-on to a salad very small-only 2 pieces. Should be at least 3 pieces.
Not a good experience, no rush to return. Slow service though plenty of wait staff. Food fair at best.
We chose to dine at the Grille at WSBO country club following my Daughters dance recital. We asked to sit out on the deck. We were kindly accommodated with extra umbrella for sun glare. Menu is extensive with nice full meals. The dish and chops were fluffy white haddock. The shrimp scampi was as good as a North End Italian restaurant. Mac and Cheese entree with anything you want in it. And lastly a very nicely cooked medium sirloin with a hot pink center.
Above average food at good prices. Best fish and chips I've had in a long time, and well portioned. Martini was perfect. Saturday night music not the best, but it made for a fun atmosphere. I'll come here often.
This is the latest incarnation of a restaurant at this location and with some fine tuning it could be the best in a long time. Our evening did not start well...there were no lights on to guide us to the restaurant entrance on a very rainy night. Then once seated it took about 15-20 minutes to get our drinks...which had to be ordered twice . Once that glitch out of the say service was good. As was most of the food. My calamari was overly limp but my wife's caesar salad was fine, though a too huge portion...our ducks were well prepared, but the overall dish was very, very heavy. No need for BOTH polenta and a heavy risotto...with heavy sauce. Prices ok.
Real problem is ambiance. Huge room with no carpeting, baffles, table cloths....noisy.
Food was great, service was friendly and helpful and the prices were reasonable. A good selection of choices for a one page menu. Overall a nice dining experience. Will definitely go back again.
We were pleasantly surprised that al long last the food at westboro country club was quite good. We've been here before, and were usually disappointed. They've spruced up the interior, enlarged the outdoor area and really upgraded the food. The menu is small, a good thing IMHO . Do a few things well and take it from there. I had the Mac and cheese. Where can you get an entree for $10? This was excellent, creamy, cheesey, just the right amount of buttered crumbs. My husband had the short ribs. They were melt in your mouth with goat cheese mashed, asparagus and mixed veggies. He ate the whole thing. We had a very reasonable bottle of Mark West Pinot noir. So nice to go out for a pleasant evening and not break the bank.
Reasonable prices and very good food. Relaxed and pleasant environment. Will definitely be back.
I should have listened to a review I read. Very loud, I think because its a large room with hard wood floors. Better for families with kids or large groups. Not a quiet place for dinner and conversation. My dinner was good (haddock). My husband's was somsalty he couldn't finish it. Nice people, nice décor.
My husband and I just visited the "renovated" Grille at the Westborough CC. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. My salmon was cooked to perfection and my husband truly enjoyed the fish & chips! A small menu and I do hope it will change with the seasons. The entrees were on the more "comfort" side, but perfect for this time of year. Very nice wine list as well. Waitstaff was super. The only negative is there were a lot of families dining Sunday night and with the open dining area, the children were loud to say the least. Unless you ate in the bar area, it was impossible to escape the noisy children. We will definitely go back and will try dining in the very large and quite nice bar area if there are lots of noisy children.
Great food and service. Anxious to try the deck when the weather warms.
Dined on Valentine's Day, both had specials, beef filet and duck. Food was very good, nice room, server excellent but they were swamped for V-day and everything was very slow. Properly staffed, would be OK. Will definitely return to try some of the everyday fare.
Great food, excellent service. Katie paid a lot of attention to us and made sure everything was perfect (and gluten free). We'll be coming back often.
We had a very nice, relaxing dinner! This was our first time eating at The Grille since the new ownership took over. I would highly recommend folks give it a try!having a nice restaurant in the center of Westborough is a great thing for locals.
The Grille is new in town and was a delightful place for a dinner with family and firends.
We will be back.
I think we dined at the Grille right after it opened. The renovation is great and space is spacious and warm.
The service was excellent and the food was hot, fresh and solid - we all shared a few appetizers like fried asparagus and a beet salad and then had burgers. Each burger was cooked exactly how we ordered it and topped with fresh, delicious items. The fries were seasoned with rosemary which was a great surprise for all but the child in our group - easily fixed now that we know. We'll absolutely be making this a regular place to eat.
The Grille has done a great job renovating their bar and dining rooms. The whole place has opened up and has a fresh clean feel to it. The new menu looks great. Our table enjoyed the Salmon, Chicken and a Kid's Steak Tips. All of our plates were empty by the end of the meal! The salmon was perfectly cooked on top of a delicious risotto. The chicken was incredible and was served with fresh veggies and rice balls that were scooped up quickly at our table. The kid's menu is great and comes with a choice of apple sauce or fries and a drink which is a great deal. We will be back!
