   We booked a table for 5 for 5.30pm, we arrived early happy to have a drink before. No acknowledgement when we arrived. No one asked if we wanted a drink. Only the Christmas menu available. At pains to say table WOOULD NOT be available until 5.30 Bar staff arguing didn't know what a Shirley temple or grenadine was? Restaurant completely empty we were given worst seat in the restaurant beside the humidifier/electricity box/speaker and booking desk, requested to be moved because of volume of music told it was too loud turned down no offer if we still would like be moved. Felt manager possible thought we weren't going to pay? Manager obsessed with booking app and future bookings no offer of further drinks at any point seemed hugh inconvenience waitress clueless forgot utensils. age to wait between main course and desert. Waitress dropped wafer of ice cream on the floor never replaced. Drink order was wrong. Carpet, chairs & cutlery dirty a horrible experience hope never to be repeated. Only redeeming feature was the food was acceptable. Best part of this experience if our ten year old ever plays up we threaten to take her back! We have eaten in many places all over the world from 7star @ the Burj, Gleneagles & Savoy etc to local fast food and take away Nando's Macdonalds etc. Left wishing we'd gone to Nando's.

   Room was cold and draughty. There were heaters plugged in but we were not seated near them. Wouldn't recommend the Sweet potato and red bean burger as it was too chunky and not very nice-couldn't eat the meal. Steaks were very good although the fillet which was supposed to be well done was pink in the middle.

   Restaurant lighting is terrible. We had to ask to moved where there was a light above the table. Several people were using iPhone lights to read the menu and see their meal. Food was good but nothing to write home about. It is also next to an open bar area which was a bit noisy. After our meal on day one we went into the lounge area to sit and enjoy a coffee only to find a group of about 8 people having a meeting about youth sport prizes. This developed into a full blown argument with them shouting at each other about postings on Facebook and other problems. The breakfast is also served in this restaurant. albeit there was a notice saying that they plates were hot on both days, they were stone cold. Breakfast was mediocre. Muesli was not available on day 2. Eggs, Except scrambled had to be cooked to order and you only found this out after you had put other ingredients on your plate. Porridge also had to be cooked to order. Albeit a newspaper had been ordered for the 2 day visit and having been promised on several occasions by the front desk that we would get it and it would be put in our room it never came.

   We had a fantastic afternoon tea for five . We ordered for four as we had two kids with us out of the five and there was loads left over which we took home . Highly recommend !

   Great meal in a great atmosphere served on hot plates which is always a good sign of a great restaurant, the only downside was, we were sitting in the second rows of seats underneath the triangle roof and it was very dark, even hard to read the menu if we had of been seated on the first row or around the edge visibility would have been better , but a thoroughly great meal and great value for money ?

   Everything was ok just with waiting that we had to ask about 3 times to get what we want I think the waitressing need bit more training .

   Food was lovely but service very slow and had to ask for drinks menu several times . Child's meal was served on a very hot plate and peas were in a cast iron pot which was also burning hot , this could have caused a serious burn to a child . I asked for a cold plate which when the waiter brought it he said its slughtly hot but that is the coldest one we have . ???. Breakfast in the morning was very unorganised with stocks of food running low and took a while to be replenished . Had to ask several time for red and coffee . I have stayed at Airth before and would say standard of service has dropped considerably .

    Seated quickly but ended up having to ask if we could order our food and drinks as we had waited so long for anyone to take our order. Food was served quickly and was satisfactory but certainly not what we expected! With the restaurant being by the bar area there was in excess of 100 wedding guest in the bar which made it very difficult to order/talk to anyone around the table, with many people asking to move table due to the noise!
